Some of the older lads at Brandy Hall thought it would be amusing to dare Pippin and Sancho to explore the Old Forest, looking for an old house which was built many years before by Men from another land. Rumour was they had committed a terrible crime and hid where they thought no one would search for them. That is, until two young hobbits accepted a dare. . .
