Love the way you use Boromir's pov here.
Tari · 26 March 2012 · Chapter 13
He did it!! Awesome!
Larner · 22 March 2012 · Chapter 13
Ane It tried to catch Itself on his glove, did It? Tricksy, It is--WAS! Good for Boromir! Now--will the Eagles come for him?
Author's reply
The tale is marked as complete, but I actually have an epilogue in mind -- or maybe a couple of more chapters, even. Knowing Boromir and his friends, we won't be able to keep it to one epilogue. I haven't quite decided where to go from here yet, but there HAS to be more. As Boromir says, "We shall see!" ;-)
Larner · 22 March 2012 · Chapter 12
Hurray that he has come so far! But what will save him now from Its last wiles and power?
shirebound · 19 March 2012 · Chapter 13
What did it matter if he was doomed to die here in the midst of flame and smoke? He had done it -- the Ring was destroyed and could not be remade again. He was seeing with his own eyes the fall of Sauron. Yes, Sauron; Boromir could name him now, something no one in Gondor had done for years untold. Sauron was no longer the Dark Lord, the Great Eye, the Nameless One -- he was the Defeated One, and that defeat had been handed to him by none other than Boromir of Gondor, and all those who had entrusted Boromir with this duty, this Quest to undo what Sauron had made, forever. It's wonderful to think of Boromir being remembered for this great deed. And he's grown wise indeed to realize that he didn't achieve it alone.
Larner · 13 March 2012 · Chapter 11
Excellent! Yes, he needed to hear the same thing from Faramir in order to know he was indeed doing the right thing. Now, the pass.
Larner · 13 March 2012 · Chapter 10
Finally all are on their ways on their appointed paths. Hope all goes well for Boromir on Cair Andros.
Larner · 12 March 2012 · Chapter 9
At least there is hope of quick help for Frodo, and Gimli and Aragorn are off to aid Merry and Pippin. Hope all goes well for the new Ringbearer.
Agape4Gondor · 12 March 2012 · Chapter 11
"My heart is soothed and my restoration complete." What a gorgeous chapter. The love and respect between the brothers was great. For all Tolkien's posturing about what a great person Faramir was, JRRT should have trusted that Faramir would have helped Boromir accept Aragorn's kingship. You showed it vividly in this chapter!
Agape4Gondor · 12 March 2012 · Chapter 10
Wow! What a great chapter. I got a little confused. I'm reading Lords of Gondor at the same time and had to stop and think. I loved the reunion and the fact that Boromir sent men and aid to Legolas. Now in to the next chapter.
shirebound · 11 March 2012 · Chapter 11
What a wonderful reunion between the brothers.
Tari · 2 March 2012 · Chapter 1
Bravo! Well done.
shirebound · 29 February 2012 · Chapter 9
What a wonderful and well thought-out story. I'm enjoying it immensely.
Linda Hoyland · 29 February 2012 · Chapter 9
This is a most enjoyable and well written story. I'm enjoying it very much.
Agape4Gondor · 28 February 2012 · Chapter 9
The best chapter ever! You've got Gimli's voice down perfect. The dialogue is great. You do realize you've changed the whole rest of the story. I don't envy you that path. Looking very much forward to more. PS - Everything seems quite logical and most plausible.
Larner · 26 February 2012 · Chapter 99999
A beautiful picture, Nath! Well done, both of you!
Larner · 26 February 2012 · Chapter 8
Well reasoned by Frodo, and well done by Boromir requiring that Frodo relinquish it wholly by his own will.
Larner · 26 February 2012 · Chapter 7
Boromir would be surprised to learn all that a "mere" Hobbit might accomplish, once his mind is made up.
Larner · 25 February 2012 · Chapter 6
I am glad that Frodo is willing to do this of his own volition. Alas for the others, who know that Merry and Pippin are going to, but who must remain awaiting Frodo's decision until it's made.
Larner · 25 February 2012 · Chapter 5
Excellent realizations here. I'd say the new Ringbearer is a choice between Sam and Boromir now. And Gollum is now dead and gone? Interesting twist, to be certain. How does the Ring end up in the Fire, I wonder?
shirebound · 25 February 2012 · Chapter 99999
Oh my, that's wonderful!
shirebound · 25 February 2012 · Chapter 8
The Ring no longer has a hold on you -- and that makes you the safest one to bear it. Safer even than I -- What a difficult, yet practical decision. Good for Frodo for being able to part with the Ring, even under these circumstances.
Agape4Gondor · 2 November 2011 · Chapter 6
This is a dangerous time for the Fellowship. They sre all open to the Ring's whispers and lies. I think even moreso now that each one of thier focus is on who should carry the Ring. Eise of Frodo to decide this for himself!
Agape4Gondor · 2 November 2011 · Chapter 5
The gaffer seems to have the right words for every situation. Indeed, it was good seeing Aragorn arrive.
