Larner · 9 November 2011 · Chapter 6: Home At Last

Wnderful that they are home safely, healed fully from all their hurts!

Larner · 9 November 2011 · Chapter 5: Justice And Revenge

This quest was successful. Too bad they had to do it, though, although there are always those who think to steal all from others, including their lives.

Larner · 9 November 2011 · Chapter 4: Ambush

They are Elrond's children after all! Excellent!

ellie · 27 October 2011 · Chapter 6: Home At Last

How joyous! And what a blessed relief to Elrond!

Cairistiona · 26 October 2011 · Chapter 6: Home At Last

Ah, a lovely picture, the brothers having regained their joy again! A very nice close to the series.

Author's reply

'the brothers having regained their joy again!' Thank you - yes, that's what I wanted to show here :)

ellie · 18 October 2011 · Chapter 5: Justice And Revenge

protective Glorfindel. How yummy! Poor elrohir!

Author's reply

Yes, Glorfindel rather took me by surprise with his barely hidden fury at anyone who would harm Elrond's sons!

Cairistiona · 18 October 2011 · Chapter 5: Justice And Revenge

Very nice follow-up to "Ambush". You show the seething emotions under Glorfindel's stoic exterior perfectly. I would not have wanted to be one of the members of that party.

Author's reply

Thank you! I knew I had to write a sequel, and had the basic outline planned, but then had to wait for the propmt to see how it all fitted together. Elladan is less restrained, but Glorfindel tries to be more controlled.

Cairistiona · 13 October 2011 · Chapter 4: Ambush

Very nice! There's a breathless quality to the pace of his drabble, one that ends leaving you feeling your own jaw jut with determination just as Elrond's must have. (And like so many drabbles do, leave me wanting to see what happened before and what happens next!)

Author's reply

Thank you! I'm really glad the sense of urgency came across - it's so difficult to do in a drabble. I'll have to see if I can fit a sequel around the next prompt!

ellie · 13 October 2011 · Chapter 4: Ambush

Poor Elrohir! At least Elladan was able to get ot him and save him. You really need to write a longer story about the twins again.

Author's reply

Well, I couldn't leave him there, could I? :>) 'You really need to write a longer story about the twins again.' I know. I want to, but the muses seem to have disappeared! At the moment all I can manage are drabbles.

Larner · 10 October 2011 · Chapter 3: And Then There Were Three

Aha! The cry of children everywhere. I recognise it well.

Author's reply

'I recognise it well.' Don't we all? I've heard it many times!

Larner · 10 October 2011 · Chapter 2: A Famous Victory

Aha! Foiled by brothers from the full weight of his victory! Love how you used the prompt.

Author's reply

Thank you! I felt rather sorry for Elladan here :)

Larner · 10 October 2011 · Chapter 1: Homecoming

Aha! And I do think that their father won in the end!

Author's reply

Yes - he doesn't care who wins, as long as they're home!

Idril Celebrindal · 8 October 2011 · Chapter 1: Homecoming

Thanks Jay! I enjoyed all three chapters so far, keep them coming! Idril

Author's reply

Thank you! They're fun to write :)

eliza61 · 8 October 2011 · Chapter 3: And Then There Were Three

Wait, how the heck did my sons end up in your story. LOL. I feel Lord Elronds pain. "it was not my fault" will go down in annals of time as the most used excuses right along with "I don't know". Thanks for the wonderful read Jay

Author's reply

There's a lot of my son in this, too. His favourite excuse was "I didn't drop it, it fell!"

ellie · 7 October 2011 · Chapter 3: And Then There Were Three

LOL! I love these! Precious and priceless! And it was nice of you to let Elladan win at least once *snicker* It is always a pleasure to read a story you have penned or typed. LOL

Author's reply

I'm not sure Elladan appreciates his win! Thank you for your comments. It's good to be writing again.

daw the minstrel · 7 October 2011 · Chapter 3: And Then There Were Three

LOL. Male children! They're all alike, no matter what race.

Author's reply

Oh, yes. When my son came home from a camping and hiking weekend I made him leave his clothes by the door! (I don't think SoA likes you, Daw. It never sends me alerts of your reviews.)
