...with the heart of a lad just coming to the end of his tweens. - Myst.
Very good! Without really thinking about it, this is how I imagine Frodo as well...though with a "Pippinfan" twist to it.
The Wedding? No words can describe it. Beautiful? Too rustic. Loved it, Myst! Only a true artist can envision a canopy of butterflies as a moving color. I loved Pearl's--and your--rendiition of a hobbit's wedding!
Take care!

I'm so sorry I missed this chapter! Being that his parents died at a young age, and Bilbo being a confirmed bachelor himself, I always wondered how Frodo would handle courting, too. So touching! And Sam being livid! I'd hate to have been on the business end of that axe! I was worried that Linwe was going to play hard to get. They're so in love with each other. Onto the next chapter...

Ah yes, I had a hunch that Frodo and Linwe would face this decision. It just didn't seem like Linwe could just go to the undying lands if she chose to. Besides, she's not immortal. I really hope, though, that this gets solved soon and Frodo and Linwe can be together! By the way, you're doing a great job and keep the updates coming! :) Thanks again!

I get a compliment for keeping updates coming then I don't post for several weeks. I am so sorry about that. I hope to resume doing consistant weekly updates.
We will have to wait and see how things resolve themselves for Frodo and Linwe. Here is an interesting question. If some Hobbits were known to go off, some to see, then never return, where did they go?
Thank you so much for reading and commenting.

I also think that Hobbits are not so daring of creatures and are rather modest, but I still loved this chapter! :) YEA! This chapter made me happy and yes, I am fanning myself to. Is it getting hot in here or is it just me? :)
.:Keener:.
Author's reply
Hi Keener! :)
I agree, Hobbits are nto that daring of creatures as a whole. Llinwe is for the most part very modest. She was very nervous about what she did, but as expressed in the description of her thoughts, prior to disrobing, she feared that if she did nto take drastic measures Frodo would continue to resist the feelings he had for her, and thus not allow her to love him freely as well.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I am thrilled that you were able to enjoy the chapter despite my straying from good Hobbit sensibilities. That is a powerful compliment, and I am honored.
Thank you,
Mys

Thanks for taking the time to speak out. I can understand and respect your point of view. If we were to get into specifics I think we would agree on many. However I write the story as the muse tells me. I knew I was taking risks with this I hope that you and anyone else reading is not greatly offended to the point of no longer reading.
Thank you for reading and reviewing. :)

Mwahahahahahaha
You have no idea how much i am going to make you wait. I seem to have this thing for building things to a fever pitch. First there was building up to when they first meet. Now I am delighting in savoring the start of romance. To me this chapter illustrates the very start beginnings of Frodo's passion. He has this sensual moment of noticing the way she smells. I leave it at that so that the reader can savor that first moment of awakening passion. Some things should not be rushed or you miss the beauty of the moment.

Author's reply
I would like to point out the interesting fact that Pearl Took's "While we Dwelt in Fear" and my own "Enigmaa..." were being born in our minds at roughly the same time, niether one of us beign aware that the other was going to use this concept of mental or spiritual awareness. It has made is challenging for both of us (Pearl more than me) to read each other's work and not have it overly influence our own or to feel we are copying. Admitidly, The reference Esme makes in this chapter to the Took's having a certain oddness about them is a tribute to Pearl's story. I have a fondness for referring to small details in her stories in my own and then seeing if she catches them.
I know you are not much of a Frodo person yourself. I hope that you will still like the story as much when you are further along. I will say that the Frodo I have written here is the same Frodo as I percieved him in both book and movie form. I think one of my favorite aspects of the movies is that Peter Jackson and Elijah Wood seemed to see Frodo the same way I did. A person that is very simple and hobbity, when you take away the heroic deeds.
It is getting towards my bedtime. I get very chatty then.

Oh my goodness. What a way to describe what you think. I am really very flattered adn touched. I have been told that my style is a little difficult to get the hang of and at times the detail is boring, which is funny when you think that our dear Mr. Tolkien practically described every blade of grass on Bag End.
Thank you so much, you give me much confidence that I am doing this story justice.
