Oh dear, Lothiriel/Gilwen, what a mess you are in and you are starting to fancy Eomer! Just delightful like a Shakespearean comedy!I eagerly await more.

Author's reply

Hello Linda, yes, I think it's dawning on her that just trying to survive those three days that he's in Dol Amroth is not a good long-term strategy! And that kind of light-hearted romantic tale is exactly what I'm aiming for. Thanks for reviewing! Lia

demeter d · 29 October 2012 · Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Lotherial, pretending to be Gliwen, pretending to be Lotherial. Victor,Victoria, anyone? Eomer seems more relaxed and comfortable in the presence of a "mere beekeeper", eh? I wonder if he suspects something, and is just playing along, or if he really believes her for now. I suspect that the man who had faced down legions of orcs and fields of battlefield gore would not let a little squishy seafood deter him. I wonder, tho. What would happen if he really does believe they are two different girls, and asks the Papa for GLIWEN'S hand? Interesting possibilities await! Also, I do like the symbolism of a belt made from materials of the Mark adorned with pearls from Dol Amroth. That is how her future turned out. On one of the Appendix disks from Mr. Jackson's Two Towers DVD, actress Miranda Otto tells us how much she liked a lovely metal hip belt on one of Eowyn's dresses. I am picturing that one as I read about the craftsman's wares.

Author's reply

Hello Demeter, you're probably right about a warrior like Eomer not being deterred by a bit of seafood - although the jellyfish salad would certainly have done it for me! And the next chapter will be from Eomer's point of view, so will answer some of your questions. But as you said, there's lot of different possibilities. And I have to check out that appendix you mentioned. The films really had some very good costumes. Thanks for reviewing! Lia

Agape4Gondor · 24 October 2012 · Chapter 5: Chapter 5

I think she is learning that Eomer is not to be trifled with. A bit more perceptive than she first realized. Not all lust, huh? *g* I was so glad to see this next chapter. Thanks for your perseverance.

Author's reply

Hi Agape, well, you can't really blame her for that first impression, can you ;-D Of course that doesn't make things any easier for her, but then I believe that characters have to earn their happy ends. Thanks for reviewing! Lia

Linda Hoyland · 23 October 2012 · Chapter 5: Chapter 5

A delightful and delicious chapter which leaves me wondering however this muddle will be sorted out. As well the Rohirim don't have two wives or Eomer might try to marry both "sisters!!

Author's reply

Hello Linda, now that would be wonderful twist to the story! You're tempting me to have them elope to Harad, where such things might be possible ;-D Lia

Larner · 22 October 2012 · Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Eomer continues to keep her off balance, which is to the good, I suspect. I wonder how long she'll try to keep up the story, and what will precipitate the truth? Love the description of the meal so far--it would help keep the Rohirrim off balance as well! Heh!

Author's reply

Hi Larner, I'm afraid this Lothiriel is not one to give up easily. A good character trait really, except when you're running in the wrong direction! As for the food, there will be more coming up from the culinary arsenal of the 'Jolly Jellyfish'. Lia

Agape4Gondor · 4 October 2012 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Oh dear oh dear. She is really messing things up, isn't she? And she is involving others in the mess, too. Shees! As for Eomer - court politics can be horrid. I know he'll be able to overcome his loathing of Gondorian 'small talk' but I hope he can see Lothiriel for what she is. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Psst - I like the character Gliwen!

Author's reply

Hello Agape, a lot of 'oh dears' in there - and I'm afraid it will only get worse, for Lothiriel hasn't finished with digging yet. As for Gliwen, in many ways she's more real than the Lothiriel Eomer has met so far. Glad to hear you like her! Lia

galathil · 2 October 2012 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Hi Lialathuveril,OH Boy! Me thinks that a certain princess, is digging herself into a deeper and deeper hole. Can.t wait to see how Imrahil reacts, when he finds out whats has being going on.Especially when he finds out that his son and sister where also in on it. Won't even touch a certain King of a certain country when he finds out he!he! Can't wait for the next chapter. LOL Galathil

Author's reply

Hi Galathil, she's digging most diligently, isn't she! And her nearest and dearest are doing their best to help her ;-) However, I think there will be a few more plot twists before the truth will out. Thanks for reviewing Lia

Linda Hoyland · 2 October 2012 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

The plot thickens! Another most enjoyable chapter.

Author's reply

Hello Linda, thank you and until soon, I hope. Lia

Lyana · 1 October 2012 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Oh, to be a fly on the wall when she tells Aunt Ivrinial and Amrothos what she's gotten herself into now! Dear oh dear...

Author's reply

Hi Lyana, you'll actually get a chance to be that fly in the next chapter... Poor Amrothos! Thanks for reviewing Lia

Larner · 1 October 2012 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

And she weaves herself more and more deeply into his awareness, whether she realizes it or not--and he wants her for herself, not for this persona she's trying to project this night! She ought to have fun at the celebrations in town.

Author's reply

Hello Larner, I'm hoping that my readers will also have fun at the celebrations in town - there should be some culinary delights coming up ;-) Thanks for reading and reviewing Lia

Agape4Gondor · 24 September 2012 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Oh I just love how she thinks of Gilwen as a separate entity. She's in trouble now. Great chapter.

Author's reply

It's always easier to blame somebody else - even if that somebody is only imaginary ;-)

Agape4Gondor · 24 September 2012 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Well, she's in trouble now! I love the details of Rohan vs. Gondor that you put in this chapter. It is quite delightful. Especially the cost of the dress. Nicely done!

Author's reply

I always enjoy playing with the cultural differences between Rohan and Gondor, glad to hear you liked that. And the silk will actually make a come-back in a later chapter.

Agape4Gondor · 24 September 2012 · Chapter 1: Chapter 1

If wishes were kisses. *g* My motto has always been honesty first. I have seen the ravages of lying. It always comes back and kicks the liar in the behind. I'm proud of Amrothos. He's a good brother. Well, on to see what happens next.

Author's reply

Honesty first has always been my motto, too. Even if it hurts in the short term, in the long run it's the only way to live with yourself. However, that's a lesson that Lothiriel still has to learn. I have to admit though that I like to see her wriggle!

Agape4Gondor · 24 September 2012 · Chapter 0: Prologue

A very interesting and riveting beginning. I'm looking forward to more. And - I am very glad there was a knock on the door. I'd hate to see Eomer's relationship with Lothiriel ruined by a lack of restraint on both their parts. Emotions were well written.

Author's reply

Hello Agape, you've been busy reading - thanks for the reviews! And on hindsight, Eomer will probably be glad of the interruption too, even if he didn't appreciate it at the time ;-) Lia

Lyana · 24 September 2012 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

*shakes head* Oh, Lothiriel! You just don't know when to stop, do you girl? The first rule of holes? STOP DIGGING! Not that I'd wish ill on anyone, but watching her schemes unravel is going to be tremendously amusing. :-) (I've been re-reading your other stories posted here - looking forward to what you come up with this time!) Poor Amrothos - and is it too much to hope that Aunt Ivriniel might find some happiness too?

Author's reply

Hello Lyana, I think the 'stop digging' is a lesson that Lothiriel still has to learn. But as you said, it's more fun for us this way. As for Amrothos, somebody else remarked that he's the lone voice of sanity in this scene, which is kind of funny considering how I usually depict him! And don't fear, I've got plans for Auntie Ivriniel. Thanks for reviewing! Lia

Larner · 24 September 2012 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Ah, but she's woven her tangled web and must find her way out of it herself, although she seems intent on wrapping herself up quite stickily at this point! Heh!

Author's reply

Hello Larner, yes, at the moment she's still at the stage of tangling herself up nicely - she'll soon look like the dwarves in Mirkwood if she's not careful... Thanks for reviewing! Lia

Linda Hoyland · 24 September 2012 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Somehow I overlooked the alert for the last chapter so have read two together and enjoyed them both very much.I just love Lothiriel's crazy plan and can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's reply

Hello Linda, poor Lothiriel, when she's put so much effort into her plans and you call them 'crazy' ;-D Thanks for reviewing! Lia

Radbooks · 19 September 2012 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

She's just digging herself a deeper and deeper hole! I love it! :) Looking forward to the next installment... thanks for sharing your story with us.

Author's reply

Hi Radbooks, yes, she's certainly digging very hard! Not a nice situation to be in, but I have to admit I like watching my characters struggle ;-) Lia

6336 · 18 September 2012 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to decieve! Truer words were never spoken! 6336

Author's reply

How very true! And of course it will get worse before it gets better.

Lyana · 18 September 2012 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

I'm thoroughly enjoying this story! Love how you're writing Lotheriel - she's seen so much, but is still very much ignorant of the way life works (he'd forget you? riiiight...). The combination of innocence and bravado to think that she could pull this off is both charming and tremendously amusing. She's definitely resourceful - inventing a look-alike illegitimate half sister on the fly?!? Can't wait to see how this unfolds!

Author's reply

Hello Lyana, resourceful is certainly a good description for Lothiriel! Or maybe the mead gave wings to her imagination... ;-) And I agree with your about her innocence/naivety and of course she hasn't taken Eomer's measure at all. More next week! Lia

Larner · 17 September 2012 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Well, she's certainly painted herself into a corner, hasn't she? She's obviously never learned that the more one lies the harder it is to sustain those lies, as eventually the discrepancies will come out. Now, to see how she handles this silliness!

Author's reply

Hello Larner, Lothiriel will of course eventually discover the truth of your statement, but perhaps not for a while yet. I have to admit I like stories where the characters dig themselves into a hole! Last time it was Eomer, now it's Lothiriel's turn... Lia

daw the minstrel · 17 September 2012 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

You know what struck me most about this enjoyable chapter? How much you've slipped into Eomer's mindset. He's a practical man, wanting to know how the fountain works. He's been "inspecting" prospective wives. He's "hunting." All of this is just so dead on and so good at creating Eomer without ever saying something direct. It's just wonderfully done.

Author's reply

Hello Daw, nice hearing from you again! And I'm pleased that you like my characterization of Eomer. Although to be honest I don't really consciously set out to paint him as practical or down to earth, the hunting and other details just pop into my mind! Lia

Larner · 11 September 2012 · Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Oh, I certainly doubt that Eomer will have forgotten her! Heh! What a pretty pickle!

Author's reply

Hello Larner, oh, I'm sure Eomer goes round kissing girls in cupboards all the time ;-) Lia

Linda Hoyland · 10 September 2012 · Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Somehow, I don't think Lothiriel's plan will work but I'm longing to find out! A most enjoyable chapter.

Author's reply

Hello Linda, it wouldn't be fun if her plan worked out, would it? Thanks for reviewing! Lia

Linda Hoyland · 4 September 2012 · Chapter 0: Prologue

Such a treat to find a gripping new story from you. Your Eomer feels very true to life. Thank Goodness the broom fell over before they did something they would forever regret!Wartime leads to many impulses being yielded too, but Eomer and Lothiriel will have something better ahead of them.

Author's reply

Saved by a broom so to say ;-) But you know me, before they get to the 'something better ahead of them', they'll have to navigate a few dangerous shoals. However, I hope it will be fun to watch. Lia
