Hi neighbor! As always, love your stories. I've got a story idea I keep thinking Merry needs to tell. And Merry speaks thru best of all. If you're interested, text me at 918-399-3991 or to my email here.

a kind heart is where true beauty lies. It certainly is. What a wonderful story -- full of TLC and cousin-y love, gentle healing, and good lessons for all.

Thank you, dear! Yes, I think both Merry and Pippin (and perhaps even the never-seen Ivy) might have all learned a few lessons about rashness! And I loved the chance to let Tom and Goldberry shower Frodo with some TLC!

Oh, poor Frodo! First Merry's lost, then he himself is injured, then he thinks he's found his mother again, next he comes face to face with Farmer Maggot (!) and finally the trip to Brandy Hall gives him a relapse. And I enjoyed every minute of it, sadist that I am....

And I hope that Febobe enjoys it every bit as much. "We always hurt the one we love..." The h/c fanficcer's theme song!

Delightful! So many things to love... "Merry? Timid?" Frodo looked at Beri in astonishment--that was the most ridiculous thing he'd ever heard. well-deserved smack in the back of the head a nicely furred foot ...just for a few. And then the rhyming! I've always found that character a challenge to write, but you make him sound so natural. Yes, AU, but a lovely AU all the same. (and I chuckled when a certain Farmer made his appearance... So apropo.) Thanks!

*grin* I love it when you quote back at me! Tom Bombadil's a challenge. His actual songs aren't hard, just rearrange a few "Derry-dols" and "ring-a-ding-dillos" with some of the other lyrics. But his speech is a trial to keep up for long! It's why I turned things over to Goldberry once they arrived at the house! LOL! I don't see how JRRT kept it up for page after page after page. But it feels satisfying to know I more or less got it right. (I figure Tom fetched Maggot, who then fetched the Master and the Son of the Hall. Tom would not want to be general knowledge in Buckland, I think, but would prefer for the most part to remain a mystery. He knows those three will hold their tongues.)
