I love the way the Fellowship were all honored. This is a beautiful chapter and Pippin wasn't the only one with tears in his eyes.
Author's reply
Oh Addie, thank you. What a lovely thing to say.

Ah, lovely to see another chapter. The Memorial House sounds most appropriate, not quite the Mathom House at Michel Delving, but a start! Looking forward to visiting the 'Vault', hope they have swept the passage though, otherwise we will have a few, very, dusty Hobbits! Huggs, Lynda
Author's reply
It *is* a start! Annuminas will continue to grow and evolve as the building projects go on. LOL, I remember the passage... covered in pearl dust. Quite different from what my vacuum picks up around here. :)
Idril Celebrindal · 4 May 2013 · Chapter 3: The Memorial
I am enjoying this story and can't wait to read the rest of it. I like the museum and the scrolls under each picture! Well done!
Author's reply
Thank you! Annuminas might be more rural than Minas Tirith, but (especially being so close to the Shire), it's a fitting place to remind everyone who visits about the contributions of hobbits to the peace of the Fourth Age.
Fiondil · 4 May 2013 · Chapter 3: The Memorial
Glad to see another chapter of this story. The museum sounds lovely and quite appropriate. Elessar was right about Pippin's contribution to ensuring that he would be greeted by the Gondorians as their rightful king and not as a conqueror. Saving Faramir's life made all the difference for Aragorn and others. Looking forward to revisiting Elendil's chamber along with Frodo.
Author's reply
Thank you so much for reading. Pippin's very important part in the return of the King didn't seem like something he might have considered, so it was fun to bring it to the hobbits' attention.
lavendertook · 28 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
Oh, what do the hobbits have to tell Aragorn and Gimli, and what does Aragorn have planned for them? You got me hanging. What a sweet arrival. Yay for getting to see Arwen bestowing the handmaid position on Elanor. I love the star shape of the city.
Author's reply
Thank you, I'm so glad you like that chapter. Part of the mystery will be revealed in chapter 3 (and another part in chapter 4).
Andrea · 17 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
Elanor must be the happiest hobbit lass in all of Middle Earth now :-) And she was not ordered to the court, she was asked to give her consent! From the Queen! Wow! Now I am curious to find out what the hobbits' secret is AND what Aragorn and his people have planned for the next day. Frodo is not so eager to find out, it seems ;-)
Author's reply
Glad you're enjoying this, Andrea. Dear Frodo has probably been living a peaceful, quiet life, and is unused to any fuss (except from Sam and Rosie of course). I've been trying so hard to find time to write chapter 3... hopefully soon!
lbilover · 15 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
Okay, that's it. I want to move to Annuminas. Now. It's all your fault for making it so wonderful. :-) I loved the scene between Elanor and Arwen. Exactly as I'd imagine it to be, but with the blissful addition of a proud Frodo to witness it. Thank you!
Author's reply
Thank *you* so much! Ohhh, so many things Frodo can enjoy and share in if he remains in the Shire, happy and healed. It's such a joy to imagine it all.
obsidianj · 14 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
Now I wonder what Frodo's secret is and how he got healed. Loved the hobbit children. They know what is important. Food first!
Author's reply
Thanks so much. I'm enjoying writing another hobbity tale, and look forward to the secrets being shared with Aragorn.
Antane · 13 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
We wonders what these secrets are, yes, my precious, we wonders... You would love the Facebook page Concerning Hobbits. I certainly do. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
Secrets will be revealed soon! I'm not on Facebook, at least not yet. :)
Fiondil · 12 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
A lovely greeting by the King and Queen, though I'm with the kids: eat first, visit later. LOL! And we get to see how Elanor becomes a lady-in-waiting. Wonderful. And the referenece to Frodo's previous visit to Annúminas now makes we want to go back and re-read that story again. I'm so glad to see you writing again, shirebound. Your stories are always a delight to read.
Author's reply
Thank you for your kind review. The Professor left us with such tantalizing gaps to fill, and they're especially fun to imagine in an AU that I love so much. I'm so happy to *be* writing again, even if it's at a slow pace. I'm delighted that you're enjoying this series.
Estelcontar · 10 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
What a wonderful chapter! You did a great job of describing Annúminas. And the name of the pub was absolutely priceless. It is such a delight to see them all happy together.
Author's reply
Thank you so much, my friend. If only we all could really go there. At least we can visit in our imaginations!
Ellynn · 8 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
And now I'm really curious about hobbits' secret. :)
Author's reply
They'll reveal it as soon as they can! :)
UTfrog · 7 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
Lovely! I am eager to hear about Frodo's cure, but I am enjoying your descriptions very much.
Author's reply
Oh, thank you. I enjoy writing dialogue more than descriptions, so I appreciate your kind words very much.
Linda Hoyland · 7 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
Another delightful chapter.Aninuminas sounds just wonderful. I felt as if I could see it!Loved Elanor's joy at Arwen's offer. A tiny typo you might want to fix, The "k" in "king" is missing. "Maid Elanor,” the ing said, “we welcome you as a member of our court, and our family."
Author's reply
I appreciate your suggestions, and have fixed them. :) I'm so happy you're enjoying our visit to Annuminas.
6336 · 7 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
Ah, trust Sam's little ones to have their priorities straight, food first and then on to less important, to them, things, like greeting the King and Queen! I am curious to know just how Frodo was healed, he was so burnt out by the ring and all that happened to him, his friends and the Shire. Keep it coming Shirebound, Huggs, Lynda
Author's reply
Thanks, Lynda. I look forward to sharing my idea about Frodo's healing. I hope the readers think that it makes sense, especially in a gentle AU story such as this one.
Lindelea · 7 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
I never get tired of the satisfaction of seeing Frodo well and happy. I love your descriptions of Annúminas; I can almost see the place in my mind's eye. And LOL about name of that pub!
Author's reply
*grins* The pub name is from a lighthearted conversation Frodo and Aragorn had in chapter 9 of "The Vault of Annúminas". I'm so glad my descriptions help you to see the reborn city; I love to imagine what it might be like. And I also will never tire of Frodo being well and happy, loved and respected. Thank you for your review. :)
addie71 · 7 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
There is so much joy in this chapter. I loved that this is where Elanor was asked to be part of the court, the Inn, the Hollow and memories of Scamp.
Author's reply
Thank you, Addie. I do love bringing canon into AU tales, in my own way. And I could never tell another "Quarantined" tale without memories of Scamp -- indeed, Scamp's legacy will play a part in the story soon. :) It makes my heart happy to write a joyful story like this.
Grey Wonderer · 7 April 2013 · Chapter 1: The Road Less Taken
I really love this! It is good to see Frodo well and healthy after the Quest and I adored the greeting. Off to read more! I hope this is a long story.
Author's reply
Thank you, my friend. Once I figured out a means by why Frodo would not have needed to sail West -- to be revealed soon -- I knew this would be a joyful and happy story.
Dreamflower · 7 April 2013 · Chapter 2: A Royal Welcome
Oh, my dear! What a lovely and welcoming arrival for our hobbits! I am eager to learn more of Frodo's healing in this AU. I love "Frodo stays" AUs immensely, and am always delighted to discover the various ways that my friends find to help him get healed on East of the Sundering Sea! What a wonderful story you have ahead of us!
Author's reply
Yay, I'm so happy you're enjoying this story. I'm having a wonderful time imagining this new tale, and the (hopefully) surprising events that are in store for everyone. :)
Mysterious Jedi · 6 April 2013 · Chapter 1: The Road Less Taken
Another Quarantined story. How lovely! It's strange to think that I've been following this verse for 10 years now.
Author's reply
It's strange to think that I've been *writing* this verse for 10 years now! Thank you so much for taking another Quarantined journey with me. (I think I'll have chapter 2 ready to post tomorrow.)
Estelcontar · 25 March 2013 · Chapter 1: The Road Less Taken
What a wonderful beginning. A joyful meeting between Aragorn and the hobbits in Annúminas - how could I not fall in love with it from the start? Can't wait for chapter two.
Author's reply
Oh, thank you. I'm so happy to be writing a new story, and hope to start writing chapter 2 this evening. *bounces*
obsidianj · 23 March 2013 · Chapter 1: The Road Less Taken
Great beginning. And it is a Quarantine story. I love that universe. That meeting was so wonderful. Aragorn will always be Strider. Frodo all healed is also welcome, I always wished there was a Reset button for him. Can't wait to see where this is going.
Author's reply
Thank you. Many of my stories do feel to me like a 'reset' button for Frodo, whom I need to imagine healed, loved, and at peace. I'm so pleased you're coming on a new Quarantined journey with me.
layne · 20 March 2013 · Chapter 1: The Road Less Taken
I like it that Pippin was the one who helped with the children in the absence of Rose. I think that's sweet. And his reunion with Aragorn brought tears to my face. Love this!
Author's reply
I'm so glad you like this story. Pippin has grown up in many ways, while still (of course) remaining our sweet Pippin.
Agape4Gondor · 19 March 2013 · Chapter 1: The Road Less Taken
*delighted sigh* This looks like it's going to be fun - what with Peregrin by his lord's side. *g* And Frodo healthy and happy and on an adventure with those he loves. To meet one he loves. This is great.
Author's reply
Thank you so much. All those things make me happy, too.
Andrea · 19 March 2013 · Chapter 1: The Road Less Taken
Great beginning! He drew his small sword and laid it at his liege lord’s feet before hugging him fiercely. Apparently, Pippin tried hard to behave like a knight of Gondor, but in the end he just had to hug good old Strider :-)
Author's reply
Hi, Andrea! I'm glad to know you liked this part. 'Strider' will always hold a special place in Pippin' heart... and vice versa.
