Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 44: A Baronial Feast

The Elves are beginning to get a better understanding what the SCA is, and why it would help their cause. Good point about surviving in case the worst happens, too. They at least have an idea what to do, which can't be said from most of the population nowadays. It may never be necessary, of course, though, when I look at our world as it is now, you never know. You know, I like Anastasia and her humour. She does a fine job, too. They all did, actually, and I am glad the group from Wiseman enjoyed themselves. They all needed some chance to just relax and have fun after everything that happened. And it was a great show what can be done in such a group, beside the fighting.

Author's reply

There was a series of books years ago by Diane Paxson and I can't remember their names and I never read them all, but the premise of it was that some sort of cataclysm or apocalypse occurred that destroyed our civilization and the people who survived and thrived were Scadians who were able to resurrect older technologies, and I think S. M. Sterling has done something similar in her books, so I think it could be possible that something like it would happen if the worst did occur and we were no longer able to utilize our present technologies. At any rate, I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter and the Scadians, especially Anastasia. Thanks for letting me know, Kitty. I appreciate it.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 43: The King and the Baroness

Well, this should be a surprise even Glorfindel likes ;) Gwyn and his group really went out of their way to welcome the other Elves to Fairbanks, and gave a great demonstration of what they learnt so far. I have to agree, SCA would be a great way to train with swords without any stupid questions asked the way it was at the Academy.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Yes, it's a pleasant surprise, even for Glorfindel, and the barony people really demonstrated the possibilities and advantages of having an SCA group of their own to start training people. We'll see how that goes as the story progresses. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

So now they are all back together, good. I had completely forgotten that Glorfindel might not even know why the three ran away, but I don't doubt he will find out sooner rather than later. When that ellon has gotten something into his head, he's going to get his way, after all. Ah yes, that would be fun, taking the Elves to the SCA meeting! Of course they need to stay. Just looked Fairbanks up, it's a bit smaller than my home town, and that one is small compared to just the one I work in now, never mind places like London – as I have never been to NYC, I can't compare, but I think they aren't so different in size if you go by number of inhabitants. Yeah, I can see how Fairbanks would seem huge to Finrod, but in truth, it's not that big. But he needs to get used to it before visiting one of the really huge cities, I think, or he's going to be overwhelmed. Eönwë is watching them? Somehow that's not very comforting to me. Sure, I trust him and all, but his presence alone makes me worried. If the Valar bring out this Maia already, it just leaves me waiting for the next attack or accident to happen.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Fairbanks is probably considered a small-to-medium-size city here in the States. It's certainly large enough to have its own university and not just a community college that caters only to locals. Eönwë watching over them is probably for Glorfindel's sake. He is not only still weak from the attack and subsequent surgery but he's without his ring so he is doubly vulnerable. The Maia is there for security, but hopefully his tour of duty will be very boring. *grin* Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 41: The Road to Fairbanks

Nice to have some of the Elves in Edhellond together without all the tension that has been so obvious lately. But then, the troublemakers weren't present. Anyway, it sounds like a plan what they have worked out so far. Though I certainly hope their precautions prove to be unnecessary in the end. I am sorry for Dave, it can't be easy for him to deal with the Elves. Glorfindel is bad enough on his own, but when you add the rest of the bunch ... poor guy. While the delay is unfortunate, it has to be amazing to see all these caribous crossing. Though I guess I'd rather watch it at a warmer place than the middle of nowhere in the wilds of Alaska ;)

Author's reply

Dave is in an untenable position dealing with the Elves, but he is an Authority, so he has certain power that even Finrod has to respect. And Dave isn't too impressed by the Elves, at least, not publicly, and treats them as he would any citizen of the town, which is all to the good. And it must indeed be amazing to see such a migration happening right in front of you. Thanks for leaving a review. I appreciate it.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 40: Meanwhile, Back in Wiseman…

Now I really feel sorry for Finrod. He's out of his depth here, and still has to deal with everything thrown at him. The rift between the Elves is not helping, either. At least he seems to have found someone with whom he can share his problems without feeling ashamed or anything like that. Charles' fate sounds familiar, we have some cases like that around here, too. And he's right, Finrod needs to share the burden, no matter what certain parties say. The trio of Zach, Alex and Derek is good for Finrod, I think. Their easy banter helps him to relax, too. Hm ... I think Glorfindel has pointed out one of the problems the Wiseman Elves have with the newcomers in general and in particular with their opinion they have to bow down to being ordered around. Let's see if they can work out a way around that problem.

Author's reply

Finrod is indeed out of his depth but he's smart enough to know when he needs help and discussing his problems with Charles was a good first step and then his continued conversation with Glorfindel probably helped him as well. There have been enough such cases similar to Charles' here in the States that I figured his fate wasn't outside the laws of probability. The young Mortals are good for Finrod and the other Elves, if they just knew it. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 39: Joining the SCA

You know, someone should tell Gwyn that Derek and Alex tend to call Námo 'dude' as well, seeing how amazed they are that the twins use the name for Finrod *grin* Another SCA group in Wiseman sounds like a good idea, and might be a good alternative for the Zombie Hunter Boot Camp idea, as that's not everyone's taste. And it's true that it would be good to have Mortals run it to make it less suspicious for certain people. Besides, it's something where they can have some fun as well. It's not just about fighting, as far as I can tell, but about trying to dress and behave appropriately and all that, right?

Author's reply

We won't be seeing much of the SCA in Wiseman during this story but hopefully we'll see some of it in EA4 as I think it would be something that readers will want to see happening. And you're right that the Zombie Hunter Boot Camp wouldn't appeal to everyone, nor should it, just as the SCA won't appeal to everyone, nor should it, but the two could complement one another and that's the important thing. Thanks for leaving a review. It's appreciated.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 38: Meeting the Locals

That hero-worship Gareth showed about Finrod was rather amusing. Meeting his hero will be quite the treat for him, though I suspect Elrohir is right that Finrod is not as impressive as Gareth expects. Save he is in his 'King of Nargothrond mode', of course. It makes sense that the twins have learned so many languages, yes, considering how they lived in so many places over the millennia. Though I hope their language skills are a bit more modern than the English the Valinóreans spoke when they came ;) Yeah, I can see the Valar starting more than one of these 'boot camps', as Elladan called them, and that would explain why no more Elves who never sailed came to Wiseman – they are busy doing the same as them elsewhere. But somehow I am glad these five met; it would be some encouragement for them to know that there are others out there helping them, I think.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Even Elves suffer from hero-worshiping, especially when they're young, like Gareth. I'm sure the Twins have kept up with modern forms of the most important languages. Most of the ones they probably speak are dead and gone and haven't been spoken by anyone for millennia. And the Valar would be foolish to have only one such "boot camp" in existence, I would think. We just happen to be looking in on this one. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 37: Gwaith-en-Angbor

Luke Skywalker and Obi-wan Kenobi? LOL! Now that's a way to look at the Maiar and their swords I hadn't thought of before :D Ha, I knew it! So they found another Elf or two. Good; it was hinted that there might be more out there, after all, and these two seem to know their names already. That's going to be interesting. And they even revealed themselves to the Mortals? I wonder if they know what the Wiseman Elves know, too. That pub just fits – I only got only ten days ago back from a holiday in Ireland, so it stirs up fond memories. These brothers have an interesting history, and it seems my suspicions are correct that they were inspired to go there and join the SCA. But I felt a bit sorry for them, they aren't used to the Valar turning up, and to be confronted with Námo of all the Valar must have been disconcerting, to say the least.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. We'll learn more about the brothers and their history as the story progresses and even more so in Elf Academy 4. I've been to many a pub throughout England and Scotland and Wales, though not in Ireland, and modeled it on those, but I imagine the Irish ones are very similar in scope. I prefer them to American bars myself. Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 36: What the Twins and Serindë Get Up To

Oh, good, at least the three made it safely to Fairbanks. Now that's unexpected to learn that the twins can detect the Maiar when barely anyone else of the Elves can. Might give the Valinóreans something to think about, too, if they knew ... In any case, even if I wish it weren't the case, I fear he's right and keeping watch might be a good idea. Even more so considering Glorfindel's insistence to get to them. No matter how well-meant it is, that way of influencing Elladan makes me a bit uncomfortable. Why can the Maiar not just *tell* them what they want, instead of taking them over like that? It's not as if they can't incarnate and talk to them, after all. So there is a SCA group in Fairbanks? Thanks to Dreamflower I had at least an idea what that is, though the explanation the trio got was welcome. Hm, that sounds like another way of training for the Dagor Dagorath, you know. Which is probably why you introduced them? Gwyn ... the name reminds me of Gwynneth or however that was spelled. Somehow I have my suspicions about that guy – and why he did what he did.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. The Maiar were on a schedule as they say and they needed to get the Twins to the fight practice without wasting time arguing about it. And they did get permission, both from the Valar and from Elladan. At any rate, no real harm done. The SCA is all over the world and there are several groups in Germany, most of them I think connected to various military bases. Gwynneth is a girl's name though properly it should be Gwenneth, since "y" is considered a "masculine vowel" in Welsh and many names in the language are the same for both genders except for the "y" and "e" differentiation. Thus, Arwen, is an actual Welsh name, but it does have a masculine equivalent, Arwyn. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Sunny · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 51: At the Gold Nugget Café

Well, demeter_d, of course modern English would reflect its origins - it is s language forged by Norman men-at-arms trying to seduce Saxon barmaids.

Author's reply

Well, maybe. There's still some dispute about that. *grin*

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 35: An Interlude with Glorfindel

So Glorfindel is fighting the healing sleep? Somehow I am not that surprised, knowing how stubborn he can be. Oh, and I am happy to know Manveru and Erunáro are involved, too. Troublemakers or not, I really like them, they were always some of my favourite Maiar. How typical of Glorfindel to wake up that early and trying to get out of the hospital straight away even after major surgery. And even wanting to go to Fairbanks straight away. While I hope he doesn't have some premonition of something bad to happen, I can't help but feel sorry for everyone who is going to have to deal with him now. Finrod included.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Glorfindel gives new meaning of the word "stubborn", that's for sure, but I think Finrod knows how to handle him, having had experience with the ellon's stubbornness. And I've always liked Manveru and Erunáro as well. Unfortunately, they don't play a very large role in the EA universe as yet. Perhaps later. Thanks for the review. I appreciate it.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 34: The Situation at Edhellond

From what Daeron said, they must have had a nice day at Edhellond *rolls eyes* I really don't envy Finrod for having to kick all these butts to make them see some sense. Well, I guess I can understand that Eärnur wants to go home to Aman, and in a way I feel sorry for him, but I am still not too happy with him. Vardamir may deny it, but I feel Finrod is right, if it had been someone else than the twins, these two would have been more willing to listen. Hadn't thought of it that way before Finrod pointed it out to everyone, but you could even say that in a way, the twins outrank all these snobs from Valinór. That might give them something to think about. Ouch. I'd not want to be in Helyanwë's skin right now, not with Finrod so furious. Interesting bit about Glorfindel's history Daeron revealed here. That might give the others some food for thought, too.

Author's reply

In a way, the Twins do outrank just about everyone there *except* Finrod, but they have never bothered to lord it over the others, feeling as they do that perhaps they are not as good as a full-blooded Elf because of their mixed heritage. And Glorfindel has a history that the others from Valinor fail to appreciate, but hopefully they will learn to respect as well. Thanks for leaving a review, Kitty. I appreciate it very much.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 33: A Quiet Evening

*grin* So Vorondur just beat Kyle to Eärnur? Seems I am not alone in my feelings ;) Now I just hope the three runaways got to Fairbanks safely with how the weather is. I don't like the idea of them driving through that snowstorm. It's true, they all have changed and need to change even more, if they want to admit it or not. But we have some of the more level-headed Elves here who see the problem; getting that realisation into a few hard heads will be another matter altogether. Though they will need to if they want to achieve anything, I fear.

Author's reply

Change is always hard, even for those who recognize its necessity, but these Elves have lived through millennia of changes to one degree or another so hopefully they will accept it for what it is and deal with it. Thanks for commenting, Kitty. I appreciate it.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 32: Vorondur’s Very Bad Day

Hm, I think Vorondur has a point here. It is really a matter of opinion if Finrod has the right to mete out punishments to everyone here. Maybe the ones that came from Valinór with him, but the others? But now I am wondering – if Finrod would publicly acknowledge that he has no power over them, would that change anything in the way the others look at the problem? *sigh* Why do I have the feeling that Vardamir and Eärnur refusing a sincere apology is going to do nothing to diffuse the tensions? And that everything that happened during the last hours is going to enlarge the rift between the Wiseman and Valinórean Elves? Poor Vorondur, he has really more than a bit of bad luck today. But I was glad that his wife didn't get angry at him, but on his behalf. I think it was what he needed, her tearing him a new one about his attack on Eärnur would have not helped his mood. Understanding was much better. Well, at least here I agree with Finrod, the others should not have turned Vorondur away. Glad to see Finrod's not happy with them, either, and that they at least made some peace.

Author's reply

As the saying goes, they're not in Kansas anymore. Even Finrod needs to get with the program on that issue, but at least he recognizes that Vardamir was wrong in not letting Vorondur see Eärnur to apologize to him. Some of them are acting rather childishly. Vorondur is lucky to have Holly as a wife. They've been through much together and it's always good to know that you have one person on your side no matter what. And Finrod shows his character once again to brave the blizzard just so he could personally apologize to Vorondur for the behavior of others. Thanks for leaving a review, Kitty. I appreciate you doing so very much.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 31: Vorondur Loses His Cool

So now Vorondur knows. Oh, I can imagine he's not amused, not at all. And the same goes for Finrod. The fact that the twins and Serindë have vanished and don't answer their phones is worrying, though. Well, that went well ... I have to admit that the two Elven healers still sound slightly arrogant and stuck-up here about being reprimanded a second time for their idiocy, at least to me. Vorondur should not have attacked Eärnur, of course, but I guess they are all at the end of their tether with everything that happened, so it was probably only a matter of time.

Author's reply

Vorondur is very protective of his daughter, having lost two other children, so it's not surprising that he does attack Eärnur, however wrong it was for him to do so. Luckily, Kyle was there to save them both. *grin* Thanks for reviewing, Kitty. It's appreciated.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 30: The Scene from Glorfindel’s Perspective

Our dear balrog-slayer has a rather odd out-of-body experience here. How strange that he doesn't recognise anyone. So the twins and Serindë are about to run away. Not their best idea, sure, but I can understand that they need to get away to get some distance to what happened. And maybe it's necessary to prevent another kinslaying, at the rate this is going. I'm glad Olórin and Námo were there in time to catch Glorfindel and push him back into his body before he ran off to god knows where.

Author's reply

Glorfindel is in a state of confusion, not even remembering what happened to him or why he's where he is, so him not recognizing anyone does make some kind of sense. At any rate, it was rather fun to see him trying to get people's attention and being ignored. While Olórin has the power to keep Glorfindel's fëa within his hröa, once Glorfindel gets out it takes a Vala to put him back inside, hence Námo's appearance. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 29: Elves in Distress

Serindë did a good job to calm the twins down, and Elladan is right, of course. They should let the other healers teach them what they need to know, and I think under different circumstances they'd have agreed easily. The main problem is the timing and their current state, after all. Interesting discussion between Finrod and Eärnur. Finrod is right, of course, and I have to admit, Eärnur still sounds like he feels a bit superior. Does nothing to endear him to me, to be honest; I am feeling rather protective of the twins at the moment. Argh – right now, I want to strangle Vardamir. The way that idiot is dismissing the twins makes me so furious! And it's pretty obvious that he thinks his own techniques are faaar above anything mortals can do and disregards their knowledge out of hand, thinking it just an useless waste of time. It's about time someone takes him down a peg or five. Oh wow. Go, Kyle! I have to admit, I didn't like him at first in the other story, but he more than made up for it now. I was cheering him on when he told Vardamir and Eärnur off! And even more so that he rubbed the twin's degree into their faces. Well done!

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Vardamir and Eärnur were clearly in the wrong here to dismiss the Twins out of hand and Kyle was just the person to tell them off, too. He has his own brand of arrogance, as we saw in the EA2, but I think he's redeemed himself in the eyes of many here. Thanks for your comments. I appreciate them very much.

Kitty · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 28: Fanning the Flames

It certainly wasn't the best time to mention that little detail about Elrond, was it? Elladan and Elrohir took it rather badly, and in their stressed out, worried, sleep deprieved and exhausted state, it's probably to be expected that the twins take everything the wrong way. But I think this whole problem has been brewing for quite some time already, and after what Helyanwë said and everything, I guess it is inevitable that things come to a head now. The problem is too widespread, and resentments have been building up for a while already. The rest of the chapter proves that more than enough. Even if Eärnur might be right, at the moment it has to sound condescending to the twins.

Author's reply

Yes, there is a lot of condescending attitudes all around and even if it's not meant, it is taken that way by some as we see here with the Twins. Everything is coming apart and coming to a head with Glorfindel being injured as he was. Unfortunately, as with such cases, it will get worse before it gets better. Thanks for the review, Kitty. It's appreciated.

bookworm · 24 June 2014 · Chapter 51: At the Gold Nugget Café

Man, I feel *really sorry* for Finlay XD Alex is almost immune to the weirdness by now it seems.

Author's reply

Yeah. A few short months ago, Alex was freaking out, and now it's all too familiar to him. How things change, don't they? *grin* Thanks for reading and reviewing, bookworm. It's much appreciated.

Larner · 23 June 2014 · Chapter 51: At the Gold Nugget Café

Nothing like having the Vala of death hanging around to keep people safe! Heh! Poor Finlay is going to have a lot to think on during his drive back to Sakari's village. A friend from Finland's name is Sakari, also, by the way, although he is male and it's Finnish for Zachary. Quite an interesting fellow.

Author's reply

That's true, Larner, on both counts. It is interesting how names from different languages and cultures can be similar but have completely different meanings and even pronunciations. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

demeter d · 23 June 2014 · Chapter 51: At the Gold Nugget Café

One more thing! I have not taken a French lesson in my life. Or any Latin. But do remember, dear friends, how much of a debt "Modern American English" owes to the old Romans, the French victors of the battle of Hastings, the old Viking raiders, the Germanic Barbarians who over-ran our ancestors little island home from time to time.... Many words we think of as "English" have really changed very little from their millennial old origins.

Author's reply

Over 60 percent of English is derived from Latin either directly or via Norman French, and everything else is Germanic, more or less (throw a few Celts into the mix along with a smattering of other world cultures and stir). English has no pride and steals happily from everyone. That's what makes it such an interesting language to study.

demeter d · 23 June 2014 · Chapter 51: At the Gold Nugget Café

"David, I am going to take Alex and the others back to Edelhond,..." It is very nice to see Finrod, at least, giving poor Chief Michaelson a bit of respect right at the moment. Perhaps the whole Alien Overlord thing can slowly be eroded. And 'which Inuit language?' Our Chief of police really is full of surprises. I agree with the reviewer who compared him with Kyle Stoner... both going about the business they know best. Both also are probably going to make more contributions to that battle against the dark than people are willing to give them credit for! And concerning Sakari and her people's spiritual sensitivity. A bit over twenty years ago, a former neighbor of ours had moved to a south-western state with his wife, then came crawling back to us about a year later, saying they were separated. He stayed with us for about three months, as I recall, until he could get back on his feet. He had brought with him a Native American gentleman perhaps a decade younger than I, who had heard that construction jobs could be found in our area. "Thomas", who could rattle off his Native name in a voice like flowing water, told me fascinating stories about life in the small farms and ranches on the southern reservations. Particularly, he told about veterans coming back from serving in Viet Nam and the Gulf War, much tramatised and not really able to get a lot of help from the VA system. The village's response was to perform for them the ancient healing rituals. Yes, a lot of those cultures have been lost. But I would say there are still a lot of the old ways alive and well.

Author's reply

Hi demeter d. Finrod knows how to deal with people, especially those in positions of authority that may differ from his own, and Dave has depths to him that we have yet to see (same for Kyle). And while many of the native cultures have been lost, we can be thankful that there's been a concerted effort by some people to retrieve those cultures and revive them. Thanks for leaving a reviewing. I quite appreciate it.

SashaHoneypalm · 23 June 2014 · Chapter 51: At the Gold Nugget Café

I'm not the only one feeling sorry for Dave, am I? Actually, it's nice to have a character in a story who doesn't automatically fall in line with plot weirdness just because he's nominally on the same side. In fact, people like Michaelson and Kyle Stoner are probably the reason it even occurred to me that bystander good guys tend to be AWFULLY accepting of protagonists turning their live upside down. Dave "What are those Elves up to NOW?" Michaelson strikes a rather realistic chord in me.

Author's reply

Hi Sasha. No, lots of people feel sorry for poor Dave having to put up with all the nonsense that's been running around Wiseman lately. And I agree with you about having characters who do not necessarily fall in line with the weirdness around them and certainly Dave and Kyle are good examples of this. They may be on the side of the Elves but they are not necessarily taking their orders and feel that they are the ones who should be giving orders in their particular field of expertise. Nor are the afraid to voice their opinions on the subject. Thanks for commenting on this, Sasha. I appreciate it.

Ellie · 23 June 2014 · Chapter 51: At the Gold Nugget Café

I really like Sakari. She sees so clearly what others miss. I think her husband is in for a huge surprise. Loved Nate and Esther as usual. I still think of Esther being like Flo from the tv show Alice. It cracks me up every time she shows up. It was nice of Nate to help them dodge bullets and I bet Dave is wondering what he ever did to deserve working in Wiseman with all of the oddities running around that town. LOL

Author's reply

Hi Ellie. Well, with Sakari, what's not to like? She's sweet, like her name, but she's not a fool and she's got Finlay wrapped around her little finger quite nicely, the poor boob. LOL! Nate and Esther make a great team and I can agree with you up to a point about her being like Flo. Poor Dave. I bet he downs ibuprofen like it's candy these days. LOL! Thanks for reviewing. I really appreciate it.

FV_Whisper · 23 June 2014 · Chapter 51: At the Gold Nugget Café

Getting Námo’d might have been a good alternative title for this chapter. Things seemed calm at first , talking and more about Finlay getting revealed that should worry one. Finlay has all the reasons there are to be suspicious about Nate (shouldn't we all be) and he's worried for his wife of course, but I think she's a kind of her own. Just like many other repliers here, I found my French being up to par as well. I loved Sakari's comments about spirit guides and angels, although I wonder how much she would know about the latter. It's not a fairly common concept in Inuit mythology, where the spirit guides are all to common (including some less friendly ones who should even give some Valar a run for there money. Inuit mythology is rather..hmm savage *snickers*) And then the bullet struck... Wow, that was quite unexpected and action all over! And I loved the Valar's reactions over this, Nate staying all calm like nothing and Ester with her “Sneaking off without paying, are we?” Without her, I think quite some chaos would have erupted. Dave Michaelson is on top of the situation as always, and as always not happy others meddling with what he considers (rightfully) his territory. "Elves with Jedi mind tricks." lol! It's a good thing Ester is able to soothe him somewhat, guy needs it. “If you mean, here in the café, no one,” Nate said with an amused look. “I made sure of that.” “I saved you because others asked that you be protected, but it would be better if you asked it for yourself.” Námo remains Námo, no matter what happens... And Alex remains Alex, even now being too stubborn to ask for protection after Námo has said so, I think even Glorfindel has learned by now not to defy what Námo is saying after all. Kevana, you were not the only one to be worried about the bookstore people! And I think Námo will make a great Phantom, less mad, but even more sinister!

Author's reply

Hi FV_Whisper. A lot happens in this chapter, that's for sure with several characters being involved. Michaelson is probably wondering why the Valar had to pick his town to land the Elves in when it was so nice and quiet and peaceful before they arrived. Námo, of course, is always Námo even when he's being Nate, and Alex is Alex. We'll see how things go with him and with the Finlays soon enough. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.
