Laer · 26 May 2014 · Chapter 43: The King and the Baroness

They need to learn to make their words less harsh to we mortals. I think the group is trying, and that we need to learn tons from them. Just as they can learn tons from us. Well, ok not tons. Maybe some of our fancy dance steps? LOL. I can not help but wonder who their parents are now that they have said that their parents did not want to talk about it. It makes me wonder... Were they someone that was requested to leave...or maybe they left when they heard about the war of the ring and just got so good at hiding from everything? My heads is spinning from all the thoughts I have. I'm even arguing with myself. (Maybe they are related to Magler..no, he left around the ice age (bit of a nod to one of your other stories)..maybe they were lost in the mountains like Misty was...no..well maybe. Maybe they just plain didn't want to leave and like having their privacy; some people are that way why can't they be....see I am rather rude to myself.) Looking forward to the next chapter :)

Author's reply

Hi Laer. Well, Elves will be Elves. LOL on your arguing with yourself. We will meet the parents eventually and we'll learn why they don't wish to talk about the past. It will be a rather... um... interesting meeting all around and that's all I'll say about it for now. *grin* Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's much appreciated.

someone · 26 May 2014 · Chapter 43: The King and the Baroness

Nice introduction! The elves must have felt almost at home with that group of people, though Alex and Derek's conversation destroyed the solemnity of the moment. *grin* I wonder what sort of hounds Ingwë has? I agree with Glorfindel, out-of-body-experience sounds less insulting than slipping the leash, but it's not nearly so funny. As for the last chapter, I really liked how the twins treated Glorfindel. It is clear they are still upset but they are careful and gentle.

Author's reply

Hi someone. I'm sure being surrounded by the Scadians brought back memories of earlier times for Glorfindel, Daeron and Vorondur, as well as for the Twins and Serindë, and it probably felt very home-like for Finrod and Laurendil. I have no idea what sort of hounds Ingwë has. Probably something on the order of greyhounds, I imagine. And yes, "slipping the leash" is much funnier than "out-of-body-experience". The Twins very much see Glorfindel as a father-figure and treat him accordingly, which is very sweet of them, I think, and shows the depth of love they have to one another. Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

obsidianj · 26 May 2014 · Chapter 43: The King and the Baroness

That was a surprise where Glorfindel for once could not complain... I'm thinking about the intriguing hints you give about Gwyn's and Gareth's parents. They sound like some of the attitudes I encountered with immigrants into the US, where the parents immersed themselves into the new way of living and tried to cut off the past, raising their children in the new country with very little to no knowledge of their heritage. The children on the other hand later try to recover their history and the culture of their parents. Hence the popularity of sites like ancestor.com. It sounds as if the parents have some grudge. But at least they are living in the present day and not pining for the past.

Author's reply

Hi obsidianj. Your analysis of Gwyn and Gareth's parents is probably truer than you suspect. We'll learn a little more about them and the reasons they had for not telling their sons much about their own history and all, though we won't meet them immediately. And they are indeed living very much in the present. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Laer · 25 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

"Glorfindel, however, was not satisfied by Finrod’s non-answer, but he let it go, vowing silently to himself to get the story out of his gwador when they were alone." Yikes, yikes and more yikes! I have a feeling this is not going to end well if the two elves start showing attitude again. Guess they should stop and think about how Elrond acted and not see if there are acting anything like he did... I think this will be a very pleasant surprise to the elder elves. And that it might be a very nice surprise for Nell too.

Author's reply

We'll see how Glorfindel confronts his gwador and what comes of it in the next chapter. And we'll see just how pleasant the surprise is for everyone as well. Not all surprises are bad, after all. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

Laer · 25 May 2014 · Chapter 41: The Road to Fairbanks

Finrod is still thinking like someone in charge. Making sure everything is ready for the trip and he also was smart enough to finish the book ;) I think they should find a puppy to adopt. Maybe a chiweenie. (part Chihuahua and part dachshund) They have a very loud cry and you know none of them could handle to hear and would have it so spoiled... kidding. They don't need that issue. I would imagine that that many good looking males would have a lot of heads snapping back to get a better look. LOL

Author's reply

Well, he still is nominally in charge while Glorfindel is laid up, so in this instance his actions are appropriate. Adopt a puppy... yeah, right. LOL! And the receptionist didn't stand a chance with Glorfindel's smile, either. *grin* Thanks for leaving a review, Laer. It's appreciated.

Laer · 25 May 2014 · Chapter 40: Meanwhile, Back in Wiseman…

Wow, sorry I didn't realize how far behind I had gotten on this story. I'd say blame it on the chemo, but they are doing something else instead. So not sickly just tired..a lot. So on that whinny note (sorry about that. Just wanted to make sure you knew it isn't the story or your writing...it's me just being tired. Panis Angelicus sounds beautiful. I will look for it on Youtube. And yes a good mystery or LOTR fan fiction like this one does make me feel warm and happy. So I understand why they were reading it, although I would like to suggest a few stories to them from here ;)

Author's reply

Not a problem, Laer. I've never had to deal with chemo though I have had cancer, but I've undergone heart surgery so I know all about tired. It was three weeks after the surgery before I had enough strength to get back to writing and even then my betas could tell I wasn't at full strength for at least another week or so just from how I was writing the chapters at that time. Anyway, I'm sure you'll enjoy listening to Panis Angelicus; it's a lovely hymn. And just as there's comfort food, there's comfort reading. I'm sure we all can name books that we like to re-read when we're feeling down or ill or whatever, and mysteries always seem to fit the bill, especially the English cozy types, at least for me. Thanks for reviewing and I'm glad to see you back, but don't worry about keeping up. Review when you're feeling up to it. The story will still be here when you are.

MikoNoNyte · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 41: The Road to Fairbanks

..."I was teaching first-year students at the Academy in Vanyamar when you were still trying to figure out how to write your runes." That has got to go down as the most insufferable remark ever! Daeron outdates Valandur by many many years; yet this egotistical snit... oh fargles! I'd kick him in the shins just to watch him yelp! And here I only came by to send "The Journey Home" to my Nook. *sigh* “Loren would lie to God if he thought he could get away with it,” And there goes the myth that Elves, being more "honorable" than mankind, do not lie. LOL But then again, considering the lying Valar, they learned it early on. LOL ..."forced to down vile herbal potions instead of pills." Personally, I still DO take the "vile" potions as opposed to pills. Don't trust Western Medicine for naught. Muct rather my herbals. Which is another reason, btw, that I enjoy your herbal remarks. I have several good herbal books I swear by, to the point of "if I were stranded on a desert island..." sort of thing. haha And, with your event with the caribou I totally lost about 20 minutes or so walking down memory lane. I was caught once on the road and ended up surrounded by several hundred head of cattle on a drive to better pastures. Nothing like having steer stop to decide if you are interesting, then mark your small VW car... yeah, you KNOW what I mean!!! It was a warm summery day and I sat there with the window rolled down and an occassional horned head would push its way in to check me out. I could only sit there as the cowpunchers laughed in their saddles and wait for the herd to move on. LOL what a day! I haven't met Alex and Derek yet, (must read Academy 2!) but they seem like affable Mortals to put up with the Elves and their crap. haha Great chapter, Fiondil!

Author's reply

Hi MikoNoNyte. Actually, in my universe, Valandur and Daeron are essentially from the same generation. They both remember Cuiviénen and the Great Migration. The only difference is that Valandur continued on to Valinor while Daeron remained behind in Beleriand. So, while Val's statement sounds arrogant and all, it is more teasing than anything, as between friends, which is what they are. It would help if you actually read this story in order. That way, the characters would make sense to you in terms of their motivations and history. Enjoy "The Journey Home" though and thanks for leaving a review. I appreciate it very much.

Lindelea · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

Just a thought -- why not have another ring made?

Author's reply

Ah... good thought.

Larner · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

Considering the culture shock they experienced in coming to Wiseman, how much worse it was likely to have been had they come here first. Safeway to Michael's--a grocery store to a chain restaurant. Why am I not suprised? At least Vorondur is reassured that his daughter and future son-in-law are not fooling around. Heh! Now--to see their reaction to the SCA and the two newly found Elves. As for the latters' response to Glorfindel and Finrod--that will be something to see!

Author's reply

I agree, Larner. Wiseman isn't the big city by any means but it is probably larger than most communities were back when Finrod was king and that has to be culture shock enough for him. Now he's seeing a sizeable city with the realization that even Fairbanks isn't considered by the Mortals as all that large. And actually, while Michael's is a chain store, here in the East it's a craft store similar to A.C. Moore and the like, but if it's also the name of a restaurant chain in the West, that fits too. I didn't actually specify what kind of store Michael's is, so either interpretation is valid depending on people's experiences. However, I did research what malls existed in Fairbanks and found the description for the Bentley mall online, which I used here. We'll see how everyone reacts to the SCA and the newly found Elves in the next chapter. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Soledad · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

Sorry for being late. The Week of Hell at work ate all my still functioning brain cells yesterday and I had to bake multiple cakes to regain my equilibrium. Er... right... not what you'd be interested in. Liked the calm way the reunion happened. Serindë and Elrohir are right. As much as Vorondur is worried about his daughter, she's well beyond age, even in Elven measure. It's time Vorondur realised that. So, they have to wait for their surprise. And so do we. You do realise that you make me looking forward to Monday, which is usually my least favourite day of the week? It's not natural! *g*

Author's reply

Hey, not a problem, Soledad. Such weeks happen to us all and I hope you didn't eat all those cakes but handed them out to friends and family. *grin* Anyway, I'm glad you liked the calm way in which the reunion happened. These people are way too old to act in any other manner, especially with two Mortals in tow watching their every move. They're going to be civilized about things and of course the Twins, being healers, are probably well aware just how fragile Glorfindel's health is at the moment and are treating him very gently. And I get that a lot from my readers about looking forward to Mondays, so you're not alone. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. I really appreciate it.

Em · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

My brain is still spinning from getting to this chapter from the first "Elf academy" installment in one sitting, and it's a good time to mention one of the profound effects your "Wars of the Vala" and "Elf, interrupted" have had on me... My brain persists in rendering the SoA tagline as "Elves - Men - Hobbits - Dwarves - Istari - Valar - Maiar - Oh, My!" Because, well, with the Valar and Maiar, there are a lot of "Oh, My!" moments. :)

Author's reply

Wow, Em! That's what I call a marathon read. Did you even take time out for mundane things like eating and sleeping? LOL! At any rate, I'm glad you've enjoyed reading this series and my other stories. And yeah, my stories definitely have a lot of "Oh, My!" moments with the Valar and Maiar involved. LOL! Thanks for stopping long enough to drop me a note. It's greatly appreciated.

Kitty · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 11: Personality Testing

Sunshine? The name parents come up with sometimes ... I'd have never occured to me to use that as a first name. Oh well, as long as it fits. Vorondur explained the problem very well; it's easy to see why they need these classes, and soon. Things can be distressing enough without the Elves fighting among themselves, and despite the title of this story, I doubt there will not come something from the outside, too. Interesting test; both the explanations before and the comments afterwards made me curious about the results.

Author's reply

There is a woman named Sunshine who works in my office, and I was so intrigued by it that I knew I just had to have a character with that name and so here she is. *grin* We'll see the results of the test for some of the Elves, though not for all. It is a very interesting test and highly accurate. Thanks for leaving a review. I very much appreciate it.

Kitty · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 10: Concerning Alex and other Matters

At least the rest of the evening went rather well. I really hope Andy and Anne make the right decision and move to Wiseman. Alien Overlords? *snicker* Well, it's a way to put it. But I hope Vorondur worries too much about Andy. Vorondur is probably right about Alex; I can imagine he will have problems to deal with his new job if the excitement of the last months gives way to more routine. If it does any time soon, that is. We all know that trouble is a permanent guest when Glorfindel and Finrod are around, right?

Author's reply

I'm sure both Anne and Andy make the right decision, but we'll have to see. And it's been my experience that if Vorondur is worried, there's a real good reason for it, but we'll see. As for Alex settling into his new life and all, that is certainly the gist of the rest of the story and we'll be seeing just how much trouble is brewed with Glorfindel and Finrod together. *grin* Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it greatly.

Kitty · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 9: Revelations

Well, the unusual way of calming someone down has worked rather well. Alex certainly knows his mum. Why do I suspect the Valar or at least Maiar are responsible for the lights going out, just to give Anne the chance to see the Elves glowing as a way to prove their story? A good idea, by the way. Anne knowing Námo was rather unexpected. He certainly helped her back then when she was so desperate. I am glad he convinced her to keep Alex. And his disappearing act probably helped to prove to Anne and Andy that the Elves were saying the truth. The last line left me laughing. Oh well, as long as it helps her to believe in Elves :D

Author's reply

Oh, there's no doubt that the lights going out and only at Edhellond is the work of the Maiar or more likely a certain Vala who shows up. And we see in Anne's story just how far back the Valar were interested in Alex and the plans they eventually had for him. Poor guy never stood a chance but I don't think even he really comprehends the significance of his mother's story of meeting 'Nate'. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Kitty · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 8: Dinner with Parents

Finally, the long awaited dinner party! Anne certainly chose a strange name for her son, but I can understand why she named him like that and that it would hurt to hear Alex wants to change it legally. Yeah, for someone who doesn't know who and what they are, it has to be strange how many of the Elves live in this one house. It may be big, but not that big that thirty people seem normal. Ugh, I wasn't too sure about Derek's father, but somehow I had expected Alex's mother to take the news well, not the other way around. And I had expected some disbelief, but her reaction was rather harsh. It certainly doesn't sound good. Though I have to admit, Alex has a very unique way of calming his mother down. Dancing a tango? Now that's a new one for that purpose. Let's hope it not only calms her down, but makes her more ready to listen. I don't want them to fight about it.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Yes, the long-awaited dinner party. People don't always react as you think they will and Anne's reaction, while harsh, is born of fear more than anything, especially since she's a historian, or at least a history teacher, so learning that what she believes is true about that history isn't is something she's not able to deal with and so she comes up with crazy theories as to why these people are like they are. And as Andy says, he's from California and everyone knows how weird they are. *grin* Thanks for the review. It's appreciated.

Kitty · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 7: The Rest of the Week

It's a bit ridiculous how worried Glorfindel is about Finrod, even considered what happened earlier. But on the other hand it's touching, too, how much he still cares about his gwador. Hm, I can see why Glorfindel thinks they shouldn't walk around alone, even though it could be argued that these Elven warriors aren't helpless children. We know they have powerful enemies, after all. And the Valinorean Elves still don't know our world enough to always judge the situation correctly, considering modern weapons and everything. Wise of them to let Nell live on campus with the others; she'd not have thanked Finrod to keeping her away when the ellyn are allowed to be there.

Author's reply

Glorfindel is just naturally concerned and given the volatility of human nature, just being cautious in ordering people not to walk around alone. And of course, treating Nell differently from the Three Amigos might be considered proper in Aman, but certainly not in Wiseman where her eighteen- and nineteen-year-old female classmates do not live such restrictive lives. Finrod shows his wisdom here in allowing her to live on-campus. Thanks for the review. Kitty. I appreciate it very much.

Kitty · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 6: Finrod on His Own

Poor Nick, how distressing for him! What a good luck that he now has Finrod to take care of the shop. That visit of the teenagers was rather amusing. 'Doing serious damage to their armour' is a nice way to describe the tournament, lol. But I am glad Finrod made them think about what they were about to do. Manwë's visit worries me. That doesn't sound good. I can see where he is coming from, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it. But I think he's right in that they sent the Valinórean Elves without enough preparation and safeguards. Oh well, too late to change that, now they have to deal with whatever comes.

Author's reply

Hi Kitty. Nick is pretty lucky to have Finrod helping out, and Finrod's handling of the teenagers just shows how great he was as a king. And Manwë's visit is worrisome on many levels. We'll see how things progress from here. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated.

obsidianj · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

I loved Elladan's greeting. That took the wind out of the sails of the "father's". That re-union was nice. I was hoping for something along those lines and not more strife. Vorondur needed a bit more time to calm down, but I can understand him having lost 2 children already. Parents have a hard time not being overbearing on the remaining children. I loved how Elladan and Rlrohir greeted Glorfindel. It showed the depth of their feeling better than any loud exclamations. Now to wait for the surprise.

Author's reply

Hi obsidianj. Yes, Elladan's greeting certainly did take the winds out their sails, which is probably why the Maiar warned them of the "fathers'" imminent arrival. And Glorfindel is indeed a father to the Twins and it shows here in the way they greeted Glorfindel. I'm sure now that Ron sees that Sarah is fine he'll back off and not be so overbearing. Besides, she's about to get married, so soon enough he will no longer have that right. Thanks for leaving a review. I appreciate it.

obsidianj · 24 May 2014 · Chapter 41: The Road to Fairbanks

“Loren would lie to God if he thought he could get away with it,” Dave shot back. “That guy has a knack of not saying anything by saying something totally inane but you think he’s actually saying something until you stop long enough to really listen to what he’s not saying.” This is masterful *g*. Dave has Glorfindel pegged and I love Nick's and Finrod's reaction to that bit of nonsense. Finrod really needs to learn how to deal with mortal authority. Vorondur and Daeron's exchange shows that there are still prickly feelings between the Wiseman and Valinor elves. I don't think Vorondur meant it as bad as Daeron heard it. That trip to Fairbanks was more eventful than I would have guessed. I didn't think of Caribou migration when I thought of what could delay them. I just hope that the reunion is not as full of fireworks as it could be. They don't need more bad feelings between them.

Author's reply

I'm glad you like Dave's analysis of Glorfindel. *grin* And he certainly does have our favorite balrog-slayer pegged to a T. Finrod is too used to being Authority to know how to act when other types of Authority walk through the door, but I'm sure he'll learn eventually. And I think you mean Valandur and Daeron and no, he doesn't mean it as bad as it sounds. These two are of the same generation and are good friends. Val is merely teasing Daeron as friends sometimes do, though to outsiders it may sound like something else. And in Alaska, anything can happen to delay a trip. Thanks for reviewing, obsidianj. I appreciate it.

Lindelea · 23 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

Nice reunion. Lovely greeting, "You're late!" ...kind of takes the wind out of the Posse's sails. I can bet that Glorfindel hates surprises. He's probably lived through quite a few. You remind me that I'm still wondering who had the temerity to jump him at the bar, and what happened to his ring? Will they ever be found? (Bad guys, and ring, that is.) It shows how much he was driven by concern for the Twins, that he meekly puts himself to bed after assuring himself they're all right. I wonder what Finrod would think of LA or NYC. Such large cities are awe-inspiring, but also somewhat depressing of spirit. (Soul-sucking?)

Author's reply

Hi Lindelea. Yes, a very nice reunion and Elladan's greeting would take the wind out their sails, especially Glorfindel's. The idea of Glorfindel hating surprises was established in the Elf, Interrupted series, which you might not have read yet. That and his insistence that he never whines, are running jokes through my stories about him. We may eventually find out who jumped him and what happened to his ring, though we won't see any final resolution to that in this story. Hopefully, we will in the next installment. Glorfindel is still recovering and by rights he should either still be in the hospital or at least resting at home, so this trip and the anxiety has really done a number on him. He's old enough and wise enough to know when it's time to call it quits and rest. And I dread to think what Finrod would think of any of the mega-cities that exist in our world. They can be awe-inspiring, but also spirit-depressing at the same time. It's why I don't care for them myself. Anyway, thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Jay of Lasgalen · 23 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

I love Elladan's greeting when the mob descend on him like avenging angels: “Well, it’s about bloody time you showed up,” I also like his and Elrohir's reunion with Glorfindel - it shows the true depth of their love and concern for him. I'm looking forward to Sunday - who will be most surprised, I wonder?

Author's reply

Hi Jay. Yes, Elladan's greeting is pretty funny all things considered and his and Elrohir's reunion with Glorfindel is very touching. We'll see who is most surprised in the next chapter. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Sunny · 23 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

If the Maiar twins decide to pop in for a visit, ot will be old home week in Fairbanks for sure! Wonderful to see the reunions between the "kids" and the dads. Heh. And just who did the Twins learn their swearwords from, Glorfi? Tee-hee, surprises! Though we all know just how Glorfindel feels about those, just hope the Elves manage to keep Glorfindel entertained properly until they get to see just what the surprise is! And speaking of surprises, I wonder if the Twins have told Gwyn and Gareth just _who_ is coming for dinner, or for the SCA meeting? So Eönwë is keeping an eye on them personally? I guess this means that either the Maiar twins have been very naughty - or something rather nasty is heading their way at top speed!

Author's reply

Hi Sunny. It sure would seem like old home week if they did. LOL! I'm glad you like the reunions between the "kids" and the "dads". They were very civilized about it all, especially with two Mortals watching the show. We'll see how the Twins manage the surprise on both sides in the next chapter and Eönwë is probably there to keep an eye on Glorfindel who, without his ring, is in danger of slipping his leash if provoked enough. No one wants to see that happen, so we have Eönwë on duty. Anyway, thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Tari · 23 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

They will find out what the surprise is tomorrow, but we have to wait until next week. Patience is not my strong suit.

Author's reply

But you only have to wait a couple of days, Tari, and of course, you know what the surprise is already; you're just anxious to see everyone's reaction. *grin* So, enjoy the holiday weekend and Monday will be here before you know it.

FV_Whisper · 23 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

So instead of fireworks, we get a happy reunion. Personally I prefer this. All the runaways have the age where it's no longer appropriate to treat them as kids for doing so. Even Sarah, although Ron seems to be thinking otherwise. Sigh, overprotective parents...I love it how she decides to stay with the Twins in the end. I love how careful both the Twins are when hugging Glorfindel, knowing they will hurt him if they show too much enthusiasm. 'Eönwë must be getting desperate to let those two loose on the world.' Desperate to get the Twins protected, or desperate to get a break from the Maiar Twins? Now that would be the real question lol -Ah, room service,” “But you took thirty minutes, so you don’t get a tip.- *grins* -Honestly, Mortals! Can’t live with them, can’t live without them- *grins even more* - Derek just rolled his eyes, already busy munching on some pizza and not paying much attention to the drama around him. - He's really the kind of person who can eat anywhere, right? “And don’t swear.” And from who did the Twins get that particular swear word, Glorfindel? *snickers* I wondered by Glorfindel's earlier remarks about why Mir wasn't going with them as a healer wether Finrod didn't tell him anything about the ordeal, and indeed, he did not. Oops! I fear the moment might come Finrod will have to explain that to Glorfindel and the later won't be happy. (And might understand better why the Twins were running away after all) Ron really isn't the voice of reason here either, now isn't he? Here Finrod is in the right, Ron should not take his worry and anger with his daughter and the Twins out on the rest, especially not Glorfindel. The later isn't really in a state to get upset. And thinking of this, I wonder what Ron will say when he finds out she's going with the Twins when they will go away to study for surgeons... Well, we'll see what will happen next when they will all meet up with Gwyn and Garath, and the later two when meeting their childhood hero. Providing things go quiet, the chapters have been quite calm for almost a too long time... Add to that, having Manveru and Erunáro standing watch over the Twins and Sarah, and Eönwë himself over the others gives me a feeling there could be more about too...

Author's reply

Hi FV_Whisper. Yes, all the Elves are of an age where histrionics really are not called for. Of course, Ron is still in angry-Papa-mode, but Finrod put him in his place, so that's okay. And he already knows that Sarah will be leaving with Roy for NYC after they get married. He doesn't have a problem with that because by then they'll be married; it's now he has a problem because they aren't married yet. I think Eönwë was desperate to get rid of the twin Maiar for a little while. *grin* We'll see how things go when the Twins and Sarah reveal their surprise and what follows from that. I suspect Eönwë is hanging about for Glorfindel's sake. The ellon is still fragile and without his ring he is in danger of 'slipping his leash' as Lord Námo likes to call it and that's something everyone wants to avoid. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. It's much appreciated.

SashaHoneypalm · 23 May 2014 · Chapter 42: In Fairbanks

Aw! I spent all this week waiting for Friday so I could see the "G&G meet the legends" scene (nevermind anything else of any importance happening this week, such as graduation) and you put it off another four days! ;) (To be fair, I wasn't so much looking forward to graduation as dreading having to sit and listen to speeches for three hours, so I would have been anxiously waiting for Friday anyway). I do think I'm going to have to find your address one of these days, sneak into your house, and read the rest of the story on your computer. You've been warned. *grin*

Author's reply

Well, we needed to have this reunion first, Sasha, but I promise that in the next chapter G&G will meet with Finrod and Glorfindel. And maybe I had better put my files under password protection just in case. LOL! Thanks for commenting. It's appreciated.
