Nicely done! I love honey for healing (use it myself, as we are allergic to antibiotic cream), and the analogy of the rope is inspired writing. I like that this story shows the deep friendship and understanding between the two, and that it ends on a note of hope.

Mourn those you lost and let their kin know of your grief. Then see they are honoured in song while resolving to be more wary of the Dunlendings in future. Such a perfect thing to say. Eomer is such a young man, these lessons -- and conversations -- will be valuable ones.
