I liked this gapfiller- i am always a fan of Boromir and Faramir fics and what lengths they both had to endure to defend Gondor. Nice scene that you wrote about.

The tension really drove this story, and such a vivid account! You depict Boromir's stubbornness and pride, but also his need to protect his brother Faramir. Truly he is a faceted character. You've represented him well. Quite enjoyable to read.
