What a delightful story! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It seems that the Elves blessed Jeric twice over: first with their unimaginable generosity, and second with the pleasure of seeing Thranduil value the moonstone. Real Life has kept me from the fandom for so long that I had forgotten just how pleasurable a gem of a short story can be. Thank you for sharing it!
