Pierce my heart and soul. Lovely, beautiful. My poetry could never compare.
Why have you come?
My heart, my soul, my dreams,
You'll never know,
Deep inside my secrets grow,
Unless you hold the key to unlock
The secrets deep inside of me.
To reach my hearts own desire,
To find the one that I admire,
The feelings inside me do erupt,
Why have you come,my heart to corrupt?

I have always admired those who can write poems since I can't! And this one is just so sad.

Of course! *De profundis* is "from the depths"; I was impressed by how so few words could say so very much. And the rest is simply "Lord, grant them eternal rest." :) *Ut pictura poesis* -- Horace (A poem is like a picture.) All the best ~

Oh, wow. What a powerful litte piece! Truely *de profundis.* I can't find words to do it justice right now; exquisitely sorrowful and yet beautiful at the same time. ((*sniff*)) *Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine.*

I can almost see his eyes pleading with pain and self-doubt. Well done!

I have wondered sometimes if Aragorn and Gandalf saved Frodo for his good, or their own. While I am immensely glad that he sailed west and hope that he found healing there, death might have been greater comfort. You captured his agony well here. Thank you.

Thank you.
I had the same thoughts myself. Letting go can be so difficult!

Wow, your a very skilled poet Shireling. Tolkein himself would be proud. I'm going to go and cry now, bye : - )
Author's reply
Thank you
Crying is not compulsory but glad to know it touched a chord.
