What?! No more? Oh, lamentable day!
I was so enjoying this—what did you call it, the "un-culturing of Aragorn?"—and would love to see it go on. This is the first I've read of Aragorn's introduction into the Dúnedain, and while I'm sure there are others, I must say you've set the bar punishingly high. Aragorn overcoming his inherent prissiness (to become the badass we all know and love), Halbarad bringing the non-stop snark (to build up the epic friendship we all know and love), Elladan and Elrohir being, well, Elladan and Elrohir, and really just the hole shabang. You've gone and whet my appetite, then... Poof. Nothing. That's not to say that I'm not extremely grateful for what you have shared with us (because I've loved every word), and I do understand very well the ways in which Life rears up and eats us, or the ways that fickle inspiration digs in for a month or two and then vanishes without a trace; I'm just saying that, should you ever decide to re-visit this, you would have at least one (and no doubt countless others as well) cheering you on.
Thank you so much for giving us a peak at your story-telling, and I sincerely hope all is well with you! =)

A both entertaining and insightful story.
There are very few who write about Strider's time with the Rangers. It makes me only the more happy that you do. Especially since this story is so very well writen.
It has been long since you last posted a part of this story, and I really hope you will go on writing on it sometime.

You know this story is way to funny, and made me laugh far to much for my own good. Although they say that half a minute of laughter equals thirty minutes in the gym.
Anyway, for once my suster recommended a story to me, instead of the other way round. I hope you dont abandon ff.net completely, although as I can no longer get onto that at school, perhaps I can now explore this site, anywho please update this, and all your other WIP's ASAP

I just finished reading your story, and I adored it. You captured the spirit of the rangers very well (and I love the way you portrayed E2!). I particularly loved the persona you assigned to Halbarad. I came to adore his character so much, that I cried when I remembered he dies on the Pellanor fields. Thanks for giving us this glimps of the rangers ;)

Will we find out what Halbarad's running from? Sorry, no time for a large review, here, it's getting late, I'm going to bed...
I do hope this is updated soon -not to rush you- just a thought...

· Chapter 7: Animal Farm
Ah, Halbarad II, I'll have to remember that for future animals that may come to own me. I've had fish Boromir II & III, Faramir II, & Denethor II. Sadly, Den flushed himself and tried to flush Faramir with him...
'They took a pole and shoved it right'... where! I want to here the rest of the story. Oh, sigh.

· Chapter 6: Bladed Tongues
Yep, ff.net is nothing but romance, slash, romance, & general trash. That is why I read things here. *shrugs*
*squeels* Cirdan!! Cirdan has been mentioned! *does frightening dance* Ai, no, Thrandy booted by trolls. Erester needs to watch his tongue.
*gasp* I had always thought that Elladan and Elrohir would have done something very drastic but not so drastic as that... How could they have thought Elrond would not know?
Ai, I do not know why Tolkien made two big villains names 'Sauron and Saruman'. I always used to be so confused.

· Chapter 5: A Bit of a Snag
Ah, how odd Aragorn must have looked back then with Elven hair and a smooth face.
Ai, I believe Halbarad is right. Following tracks is easier than listening to the ground. Or so experience as taught me.
I love the explanation to the way Elves sense things in The Song. I have a better idea of it now.

· Chapter 4: The Logic Behind the Treason
Sheez, the twins sure are blood thirsty.
Poor Glorfy, perhaps he wishes that he remained dead? The responsibility of being a 'Balrog slayer' could weigh down on anyone.

· Chapter 3: And So It Begins
Hah! I thought so, no respectable Ranger bathes and shaves everyday. Lavender! No wonder Aragorn stands out so much. Well, according to the Movie he gives up the bathing and shaving part. I always thought it was an unwritten Ranger code not to use soap, but did Aragorn still use Lavender soap all those years later, I wonder?

Ooh, I do love your Halbarad. Pity he wasn't in the Movie.
You write well to the fact that Aragorn was raised by Elves. Most authors tend to make him a manish guy from the start.

Call me illiterate, but I had to look up 'cantrip' before I began reading this.
Heh, anyway, I love the feel you give here at the beginning. Aragorn and the twin's characterizations are some of the best of seen.

Please Keep adding to Cantrip, it's going well! And I want (demand) a sequel to 'Out of the Frying Pan'! Pleae, please, please??? *begs* 3 barrels of the Mirkwood Draught if you do! I love your writing and your doing an exceptionally good job! I think it's great how you portray 'Ro and 'Dan! Please keep writing!

Hee hee it's so hilarious to see Aragorn acting like such a prat. And I call him a prat because he is a man, acting like an Elf Lord. An Elf Lord is not a prat. Not all Elves act like an Elf Lord. They are not prats either. The simple fact that Aragorn is a man, makes him a prat in this fic. ... Did that make sense? Hee. Halbarad is too funny. Imagine that: "Lord Elrond I think you should go boil your head." Interesting there seems to be some relationship between Guttarion and Halabard. Is Halabard his son, perhaps? I dunno that's just me drawing random conclusions...Hee well update soon! Keep writing!

WOOHOO! Another chapter! I admit my opinion of Halbarad went down a little now that I see how bloodthirsty [oh well, maybe just spoiling for a fight], how lustful[maybe men like aragorn are a rarity]...anyway, well done! I loved it!

Oh dear! I'm terribly sorry to hear what happened on your vacation! Tourists are very important to us, and the security forces will go to *extremes* to protect them...but still, their reaction seemed a bit of an overreaction...here I was thinking they had flipped out when they found my friend's water gun in his suitcase on the x-ray machine at the airport *sweatdrop*...
WOnderful chapter!!
Oh dear, poor Aragorn, the only sane one when the world has seemingly gone mad. And I could feel Aragorn's horror (or was that mine?) at the beastly little children. From elven sanctuary to a pit of Angband ::shudder:: Poor thing...
Halbarad is priceless as usual: “I would have told the old peredhil to go and boil his head..." I was in tears!
Hmmm...you certainly took a long time with this chapter. You can't rush creativity, but still...you HAVE spoiled your readers with the last few rapid updates. Can't help but hope you will keep that up :D ::insert shameless begging:: >_<
