Hi dear Lily, why did nobody leave a review for this truly beautiful chapter yet? Well...I'm heading for the next one...

That was simply beautiful - the finest example of fanfiction that anybody could ever wish to read. Thank you so much for sharing - this was perfect!

I think 'your' Bilbo would have done a wonderful job of raising Frodo...so much compassion and understanding. The chapter title is very apt. Helen

Thank you so much for your kind review! I appreciate the Frodo/Bilbo relationship a lot and try my best to write it believingly as possible. It’s a pity Bilbo couldn’t adopt him right away!

*mops face of all tears* You are a master at angst and darkness and saddness. You write beautifully. I'm looking forward to Bilbo's conversation with Rory.

Thank you so much! This means a lot for me.

mpfan · 3 December 2003 · Chapter 4: Primula

For some reason I often dream I am drowning. It's similar to what you have written. I'm always quite relieved to take in a breath and receive air instead of the water I'm expecting. Always wakes me up too. Based on your summary I am guessing there is more to come. I hope so...it will be interesting to see where you take it from here.

Author's reply

Hi mpfan! This story is actually based on a dream I had many times. I wrote it down so I won't dream it again and won't awake shivering all over... and it obiously worked. As for going on... I just say one thing... keep your handkerchief ready.

Iorhael · 3 December 2003 · Chapter 4: Primula

I always find it so difficult if it comes to the times of the accident, especially how to write it. And this is very clear and vivid. Poor Primula. I hope you will continue it with Frodo's POV again. Iorhael

This is so sad. Interesting reading the drowning from Drogo and Prim's point of view. I don't think I've ever read anything from their perspective before. Overall nicely written. I'll keep on reading. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your review! It was quite an experience for me too to write from there point of view. But I think, I will never write in the first person of dying again... it's quite hard to do.
