The Jewels of his Existence
. . .in nothing is the power of the Dark Lord more clearly shown than in the estrangement that divides all those who still oppose him." Haldir, the March Warden of the North. Two tales of the effects of ignorance and prejudice, and the evil they bring. This piece and the "The Roses of Ilúvatar" are two sides of the same coin. This one belongs to Gimli. I wanted to see if I could write two separate stories that were yet intertwined. Each can be read on its own, but together they make the whole of what happened in Gondor. AU and proud of it! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STORY STRUCTURE OF THIS STORY AND ITS COMPANION PIECE HAVE CHANGED. Thank you.
