THEN I CHECKED GOOGLE AND I SAW YOU ALSO POSTED THIS STORY ON 2 OTHER SITES. I WAS QUITE HOPEFUL, HOPING IT WAS FINISHED IN EITHER OF THESE 2 OTHER SITES. BUT IT WAS NOT. I WAS JUST REALLY REALLY HOPING AND PRAYING THAT YOU WILL FINISH THIS STORY BECAUSE IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND REALLY WORTH PUBLISHING! I KNOW IT HAS BEEN A DECADE, BUT I KNOW AND HOPE THAT THE STORY IS STILL WITH YOU IN YOUR HEART! I WOULD REALLY WISH TO SEE LEGOLAS AND RHINURE HAPPY WITH THEIR CHILDREN! PLEASE PLEASE PLEAAAAASE! THANK YOU SO MUUUCH! STAY SAFE!For now I'll read moriquendi over again. Love youuu

I never thought that thranduil would be such weak king and used his son as his property.
Then again, I never thought Legolas was so gulible that he would do anything his father said, such as improsining himself to a woman he did not love. Along, with doing anything she said.
You Aurthor are very creative, but you made my favorite characters to be weaklings in your story.
I hate it.

Hi :)
I have been reading your story today (started on my way to university) and I dare say, I am enjoying myself a lot :D
What an entertaining way to procrastinate!
From what I can see, the story seems to be complete, but still, keep up the good work if you are writing something else at the moment! And if not, I need to find a time machine to send you my encouragement!
Good eve!

Fan,
Af all the fanfic stories I've read (and I've read some), yours it's undoubtedly one of the best in terms of writing style (you're truly an amazing writer) and definitely the best one in originality and richness of plot.
I have to admit that I love romances with our favorite elf, but grew tired of not finding something that really intrigued me as a reader and did not make me 'skip' over the text at one point or another of the story, just to get to the end.
In your story's cases, however, I've gone back a couple of times to enjoy the plot and to make sure the line hadn't been broken.
The characters are multi-dimensional. All of them (and you have many characters). And rich, and adorable, even the ones I don't particularly like (yes, I've got so involved that I 'like" some characters and 'despise' others because of my own perception of the good-guy/bad-guy),
Honestly, I could ramble on in this pitiful effort to pay you a compliment without really saying what I would like (that's why I admire writers so much). Instead, I'd like to ask you to keep writing and complete the series because it's a true pleasure to read your work.
Best of luck and blessings in all your endeavors.

Hey this is seriously one of the best 'Legomances' (heard this term for the first time..lol) I have read till date. A Legolas, especially if he is in a crossover fic (usually with Harry Potter) is just so drop dead perfect...that the story just dies for you as a reader...lol. Not so with this fic, I love the inrticately woven plotlines and the differing outlooks, attitudes and cultures and totally different way of living and restraint that the Avari have.
Rhinure...one of the best Avari and their Sacrifice. Tragedy's child (nice different word for a ruler btw) and one of the most inscrutable and seemingly unemotional Avari and the one who is best at keeping her emotions at check and with the best degree of restraint....
And you have a Legolas seducing her. Quite delicious and you can't help but be lured in by this basic premise! I have loved all their interactions....they're quite sensuous yet funny, adorable yet amusing. :D
Also, the look into the lives of the Avari and how you have done the background info on them is very interesting to read and with their restraint on their emotions in public and their nomadic nature and the fact that they're always escaping from one tragedy to the other, and all the rest of their own private vulnerabilities and strengths and memories....it's all very fascinating to read!
Also the Hindi...haha...I was pleasantly shocked when I realized the Avarian language was Hindi! Plenty of the Hindi one-liners reminded me of enough Bollywood masala flicks to keep me amused. Your Hindi is nice enough even though its somewhat different from the "Hindi-in-Englishscript" that we use.
But where are the Avari names from? They seem unlike any I have heard.
But please do continue the second cycle! I liked your description of L and R moving circles around each others.

This chapters makes it more interesting...why is it that the reminding of the kings wife disturbe Rhinure?? Why won't she wear the crown?
Are there more secrets that she hide from legs?
Very intersting it is!
Author's reply
I promise that your questions about Rhinure and Eruante will be answered - eventually. And yes, there are quite a few secrets she hides from Legolas - some are reveled in this fic and some you will have to wait for in the sequel. That is, if you are still reading.

Damn! It's like a novel... Like I red a book from one hell of a writter! An amazing stroy! Not big at ALL, 'cause you made an impression of the whole idea. When I red this story I had an image in my head! That's why this story is one of my favourites!
The storyline is soo unpredicted, that's why it so exciting. You keep the reader non stop, reading your story in one day, or even let them leave their other responsiblities....(I can hear my mum now......oef not good...)
Anyways....( i hope my english is correct, heheh) i hope you finish this story! Update it very soon, 'cause I think many can't wait ( incl. ME) till they read the last chapter!
Love Samira

I am glad you enjoyed it. I hope you do not get into too much trouble with your mom. I know mine can get quite annoyed if I stay on the computer for too long.
I found the story quite unpredicatable as well - it kind of creeped up on me. Hope you enjoy the rest as much.
Can I ask - are you Pakistani/Indian/South Asian? Your name is South Asian if I am correct. If so I think you might be the one and only South Asian reading this - other than myself of course.

WOW! This is fantastic! I just read all 54 chapters and loved them.
You called the your obligitory (sp?) Legolas romance fic. Honey, this is a Legolas romance fic like no other I've ever read! I'm so glad you've already started the 2nd one! I'd hate to wait!
Author's reply
Well it was obligatory (I have no clue if this is the right spelling) romance since I have read so many Legomances that I firmly believe everyone had written one at one point. I just started my LOTR fanfic 'career' with one - which I was scared about, but I think it worked our. Don't you?
I hope you enjoy Moriquendi II as much. See you at the sequel I hope.
Thank you,

You are an amazing writer! I stumbled across your story and against my better judgement started reading. I couldn't stop. I've always been scared of Legomances, but yours is believable and so well written! You write Legolas the best I have ever read. The Avari are the perfect source of tension, and the story is great! It's good to know that not all fanfic writers are incompetent Mary-sue creators, you bring me hope. I can't wait for the sequel!
Author's reply
Trust me, I was scared and still am of writing a Legomance. It is such a quagmire, most people would not touch it with a ten-foot pole. But I decided that the challenge was enough to make it worthwhile. Then of course the Avari came alive and took over my life. ;)
The writers on this site are fantastic. Not incompetent at all. You should check out their stuff, though I am not sure if they write Legomances as a rule. There are some really nice ones though.

· Chapter 45: The Unwilling
Um, another minor problem. The text in this chapter is way too small. Even with my browser text size set as large as it will go, I still cannot read the words. (I'm sorry if my pointing out this and the chapter that had the wrong chapter in it offends you. No offense is intended - I know it was an accident, I'm just trying to be helpful.)
This is a very interesting story. I think that the way you have envisioned the Avari is interesting, because you have made them so very different, which makes sense. Also, I like how you have referred to several things in passing and not really explained them yet (like what Rhinure knows about Eruante) because this makes me want to read more to find out about those things in addition to finding out what will happen in the main plot line (you will eventually explain them, right? in a sequel, if not in this story?)
Author's reply
I am sorry if I implied I was offended. I am very glad you pointed out a mistake. As a reader that is your right and as someone who has posted on a public site it is my responsibility.
I have changed the font and it is reading fine on my computer but please tell me if it isn't - I will try posting it again.
As for the mysteries surrounded Rhinure and her connection with Eruante - all will be explained. Its actually part of the main plot line. But you will have to wait for it. ;)

Um, so this is supposed to be chapter 27, but it's not. It's chapter 26 again. Please fix it, I'd like to read the rest of the story, as it's a rather interesting story, but it's not generally a good idea to randomly skip chapters.

Thank you for pointing out the mistake. I have posted the correct chapter, though it is "generally" considered a mistake when one skips chapters, not deliberate intent.

Bravo Fan! I eagerly await the sequel... I think Cothion is going to be put in his place, at least I hope so and Rhinure is definitely onto something, why not both ways. While not knowing the other lends to false notions of who they are, becoming intimately aware of the other begins the decay of these assumptions as truth and relationships begin to dismantle our prejudices. In order to flourish the Avari need to relish, they are quendi after all, and Rhinure's Sacrifice will be this most momentuous task. What a wonderful gift she will bring them.
Author's reply
Oh don't worry - Cothion and the rest of the Avari are in for a long overdue lesson. Assumption will be shaken and broken. But it is a long, often painful process. Feel a little pity for the Avari, for learning and admiting you are wrong is not easy. Poor Rhinure who is caught in the middle.

Congratulations on finishing the story, Fan! It is quite an accomplishment. And, of course, you left us with a bit of a cliffhangar, for the political intrigue is just getting going. The wood elves know the locatin of Tirnen now, and things are heating up between the Avari clans.
The heat between Rhinure and Legolas was lovely. Their passion is spoken in volumes through thoughts and brief touches, and frankly its better than anything graphic. This is more romantic.
I look forward to the next cycle.
Author's reply
Thanks. Much of the credit goes to you. I don't know how I would have continued if it wasn't for you.
As for something which was graphic - I can't do it. My mind kept going blank even when I was writing this. If I tried to do something more detailed you would have to wait for a LONG time.
May the next cycle start (and finish) soon.

That story was awesome. I loved every minute I spent reading it. How long did it take you to write it?. Please hurry with the sequel. Can't wait till you continue it.
Author's reply
Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed it. I loved writing most of it - but it took me quite long to write it. This started off as a short Legomance but unfortunately (or fortunately) it grew and grew - and became this behemoth. All I wanted to do was write something believable. I think I started this about a year ago. I hope the sequel takes less time though ;)

First cycle. Interesting way to define it. Anyway, I am very pleased with this chapter. You captured the longing, the fear, the danger, and the peace very well. I eagerly await more, Lily
Author's reply
I thought of it as a cycle since Legolas and Rhinure does not seem to be making any progress. They just circle round and round each other without getting anywhere. :(
I am glad you enjoyed the chapter. I had such a tough time writing it - Legolas and Rhinure are such a difficult couple to write. Hope you enjoy the sequel as well.

You're scaring me, Fan, with all this talk about what the Avari would do if Rhinure didn't act as she should. What WOULD they do?
I love the sexual tension between Rhinure and Legolas and the lovely way you suggest it in their small gestures and reactions. It's actually kind of amusing that the older Elves see their mutual attraction so clearly. I guess experience tells. "Fatigued enough to retire early" -- good one, Legolas!
Author's reply
Well let us just say that Rhinure should not get too attached to her head. It is hanging on by a thread as it is. 0_0
Rhinure and Legolas as a couple are a bit clueless. Sometimes it is a lot easier to see what people feel when you have a bit of distance. Legolas and Rhinure are just too close to be objective. Besides, Thranduil is just a lot more experienced at being in a relationship.

Very good and very long indeed. What a wonderful chapter. Full of intricacies and emotions. I eagerly await your next installment. (P.S. Don't give in to those silly people who want everything to go smoothly from here on out. "Let them just get along and be happy, no more sadness." Ahhh! Tention is the name of the game!) Okay, that is all. ~Lily
Author's reply
Thank you. As for the people who do not want anymore sadness. Well, neither do I personally. Unfortunately, it is not up to me. If Life was simple I would just lock up the two for a millenium or two and that would solve everyhing. But, in this fic things are hardly ever simple so .... tention is going to be there whether I like it or no. But I can hope - can I not?

· Chapter 53: Questions
It must be hard for Legolas to realize how much of his friends' lives he's missing... I mean, a child is a pretty big event to miss. It must be doubly hard since everyone insists upon calling him "My Lord" and whatnot.
I like Istion. He seems to be very sympathetic, and a little more open-minded than most of the other Avari. They really resent the Eldar, don't they?!? Wow. Good chapter, even though it made my head spin with all the puzzles your poor characters are going to have to solve.
Author's reply
Poor Legolas - even when I was writing the chapter I would automatically write "my Lord". It had become so instinctive. It must be very sad when your friends first reaction is to be formal with you as well.
Istion is young - he has time to imbibe the bitterness of the rest of the Avari. He might not but then again ...
I am sorry about your head - I will try not to do that again. Take two aspirins and read the next chapter in the morning (or whenever it is posted). ;)

I am awed by the idea that this is only half of your story. Holy cow, Fan!
I feel so bad for these two. They are each caught in their position and cannot even try to love one another without causing problems.
Author's reply
LoL - thank you. I am more firghtened by the idea that we have reached about the middle. I really pity Nilmandra who agreed to beta this. Poor thing - I'll never let her go.
I feel badly for the couple too, but remember problems that stubborness cause can be fixed by stubborness too. If they want to be together then they will - everyone else should just get out of the way otherwise they will steamroll him/her (or so Fan hopes).
