Larner · 31 January 2009 · Chapter 61: Respect (Aragorn)
Ah--perfect! Yes, perfect summarization of the reality of Frodo Baggins. Thank you!

Larner · 31 January 2009 · Chapter 61: Respect (Aragorn)
Ah--perfect! Yes, perfect summarization of the reality of Frodo Baggins. Thank you!
Larner · 31 January 2009 · Chapter 60: Belonging (Frodo)
Yes, he has that reassurance to hold onto, dear lad that he is! And it would take some getting used to, knowing he was sharing the hole only with Bilbo and not umpteen others!
Larner · 31 January 2009 · Chapter 59: Debate (Gollum)
Poor Gollum and his internal debate! How likely!
Author's reply
I was always curious about why he didn't attack in Mordor for so long. :) Thanks!
Larner · 31 January 2009 · Chapter 58: Weathertop Drabble Series
Wonderful to see that terrible moment from the five different points of view!
Author's reply
Thank you! =)
Larner · 31 January 2009 · Chapter 57: Aragorn's Choice
It was a difficult decision, but the one that in the end did best by Frodo. It gave Frodo the secrecy he needed, while safeguarding his heart the better.
Author's reply
It was quite a turning point and Tolkien did well in the beginning of TTT to establish that Aragorn was torn in which way he'll go. Imagine if he did follow Frodo! A new story would've been born out of that.
Larner · 31 January 2009 · Chapter 56: The Best Medicine (Frodo, his parents, Bilbo)
And he brought it all the way from Bag End for the lad, did he? Sweet!
Author's reply
Bilbo's favorite heir and cousin is Frodo so he'll do anything for him. :)
Larner · 31 January 2009 · Chapter 55: Too Early (Sam and Bell Gamgee)
He'd already found his calling, as young as he was; and his mother was already having to work to see he didn't try to overdo it. So sweet!
Author's reply
Thanks so much! I like Sam and Bell gap-filler fics like these... :)
Larner · 31 January 2009 · Chapter 54: Together Again (Rosie)
Ah--a perfect reunion for Sam and his Rosie!
Author's reply
I think so too-- how happy they must've been. :)
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 53: All Hallows Night (Ranger)
Already a Ranger watches from the hidden shadows, already set to guard and keep safe.... Lovely.
Author's reply
THank you! I think this was based on a Shirebunny and i'm just glad that it pleases others to read this too. :)
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 52: The Best News (Frodo&Bilbo)
Yes, quite a birthday gift this little Frodo has given Bilbo and his parents and a good many others besides.
Author's reply
I always can kind of relate because my sister was born on my birthday giving many people lots of joy. :)
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 51: Rethe 1436 (Sam, Elanor, King Elessar)
Considering this is his firstborn and the one child of the brood their Uncle Frodo knew, it's only right he should be a softie regarding her. Heh!
Author's reply
I love fics that explore Sam and Elanor's relationship-- i also wonder how hard it was for Elanor to let Sam pass into the west as his fate dictates. I think this was a great event to capture in fic and glad that you like. :)
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 49: More Beautifuller Still (Frodo,Sam, Elanor)
I've always been glad Frodo got to see at least one of Sam's children--and to see this wee Elvish Hobbitling must have made him rejoice indeed. Yes, more beautifuller still indeed!
Author's reply
I think it made him leave more peacefully, knowing that Sam will find his joy and his place in Middle-earth without him.
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 50: The Ships Have Come to Carry You Home (Frodo)
A joyful homecoming for one who had felt for so long he'd lost his way completely.
Author's reply
I agree-- after all that Frodo has gone through, he deserves all the peace and healing that can possibly be wrought upon him.
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 48: Smiley (Frodo&Pippin)
Ah, such a wonderful gift to give SlightlyTookish. Pippin at his most Tookish as an infant!
Author's reply
Pippin sure seemed to be a cheerful baby, eh? =)
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 47: Beautiful Moment (Primula, Drogo, Frodo)
A special baby, as all are; and one who needs desperately the love of his parents while he can get it.
Author's reply
Frodo's birth indeed made lots of people happy and was such an influential event too. :)
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 46: Responsibility (Gandalf)
Gandalf certainly did his best to offer good leadership, and now the Halfling forth does stand indeed.
Author's reply
Gandalf is one of my favorite non-hobbit characters. Certainly he led the Fellowship as best as he could.
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 45: The Smallest Person
Actually, the Hobbits were remarkably hardy compared to Men; but they do appear small and insignificant. Yet look at the great integrity Bilbo showed regarding what OUGHT to have happened with the dragon's treasure trove and in his disposition of the Arkenstone?
Author's reply
I think it was a very hobbity response in not thinking selfishly upon oneself when making great decisions like that. Only hobbits could've used their wits in that fashion and that is why they are heroes of the Third Age. =)
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 44: Proving Worth (Gimli)
I love these thoughts from Gimli.
Author's reply
Thank you! I think dwarves should be more appreciated in Middle-earth.
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 43: Fate (Frodo)
Alas, for Frodo's own journey is begun. To have to keep evil at bay is a horrible duty.
Author's reply
Bronwe athan Harthad I think he did quite well-- though he never would again be the same. :(
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 42: It is a Gift (Boromir)
Poor Boromir--you see him already well lost to the lure of the Ring?
Author's reply
I think so-- after what he has heard in Gondor about it and also seeing what Minas Tirith has to fight-- the enemy already at their doorstep... they needed all the resources they had and probably Boromir does not put all his trust in Elves and Wizards regarding the matter of the Ring....
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 41: See it Through (Sam)
And Sam's thoughts....
Author's reply
That one was quite hard to write actually-- to find an angle not yet written about was a challenge...
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 40: Till the Bitter End (Merry)
Oh, Merry--I hear your determination.
Author's reply
I think Merry's middle name is determination. :) I really see him putting others in front of himself often.
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 39: Choice (Legolas)
Legolas and his kindred have already known the Enemy's assaults, with all that goes on from Dol Guldur. But there is the question as to how they will anticipate the future.
Author's reply
Yes i thought that and was feeling that he may also feel that he should go home and defend his Elven Kingdom but perhaps representation of doing a greater deed is more important at this stage...
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 38: The Time Has Come (Aragorn)
Ah, heartening resolve from Aragorn here. Hope indeed.
Author's reply
I always liked the strong, resolute Aragorn we see more in the books. :)
Larner · 27 March 2007 · Chapter 37: The Coming of a New Day (Bilbo&Frodo)
Oh, how wonderful an image, of the old Hobbit and the young one together, forming a family.
Author's reply
I think it was a wonderful moment for both Bilbo and Frodo. =)
