Cormallen fics are really the best- i love the care and the reunions you wrote about in here. I will reread "IN the Keeping of the King as well". <3

Wake up, Sam! I loved the focus around Pippin and Merry -- their ranks among the Men, their pride in their accomplishments, and the respect with which they are viewed. Very nice to see... :-)
Author's reply
the respect with which they are viewed... Seeing that the hobbits are tended to and respected is one of the themes of fanfic I love the most.
Lindelea · 12 May 2006 · Chapter 3: Chapter Three
Funny, I missed this when it was posted. That's what happens when you click on story alerts and they take you right to the chapter, and you don't notice chapter numbers. I just loved this part: “Strider," Pippin murmured drowsily, "did you know that Faramir and the Lady Éowyn are in love? Merry told me. He says they don’t know it yet, but... they are.” “Who are in love?” Aragorn asked in surprise. “Pippin, what did you say?” There was no answer. The young hobbit had fallen sound asleep.
Author's reply
Poor Aragorn, at the mercy of a sleepy tween and his half-finished stories! :D
Larner · 10 May 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Distinctly your-verse, I see, and a wonderful awakening for Frodo, at least. Glad he awakened surrounded by those who love him, and that Aragorn was about the first waking individual he saw.
Author's reply
My-verse... *giggles* Meaning, happy-ending-verse! I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you so much for reading. :D
Larner · 10 May 2006 · Chapter 3: Chapter Three
Now IIII want to hear the story of Gerontius and his magic shirt studs! It would be hilarious, I think. And trust Pippin to spill the beans on Faramir and Eowyn. Dear young hobbit that he is!
Author's reply
I think Pippin was saving that particular story for a special occasion. Surely, on the long walk south (and the long boatride south) everyone must have nearly exhausted every story they knew!
Larner · 10 May 2006 · Chapter 2: Chapter Two
Finally found it tonight, and get to finish it. Oh, how I hate computer problems! Love the gentleness with which the three wounded ones here are being treated. And that Merry insists on taking Frodo in his own arms. Beautiful images it brings to mind.
Author's reply
Oh no, not the dread computer problems! They should ALWAYS WORK. Always. Thank you. I just had to bring some cuddlesomeness into this story.
demeter d · 26 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
A beautiful celebration of a happy moment or two. As i have said before, your stories are full of Light! My favorite line,..."what is that?" he would know very well who Legolas was, but the tall young stranger had changed a good deal, on the outside, at least! Lovely ending.
Author's reply
Thank you so much. I do try to bring Light and happy moments to my stories. *hugs*
Baggins Babe · 22 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Perfect, perfect! A series of beautiful images - Pip being greeted by the Men, Legolas' comment about starting with the kitchen! and Aragorn being there when Frodo awoke. But my favourite line was this one: “Hullo, Pip,” Frodo grinned. “Did we miss anything?” I just love hobbits! *happy sigh*
Author's reply
Hobbits!! We're so lucky to be surrounded by them, BB. *hugs*
Iorhael · 21 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Oh, how I wish Pippin was right about Nothing at all has changed. :')
Author's reply
He's endlessly optimistic and positive. What a wonderful hobbit. :D
PIppinfan1988 · 21 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
My, my--we have a couple of Pippins anxious to get on their feet, lol. Yours is so sweet--I could almost see the twinkle in his eyes when he emphasized that he didn't disobey Aragorn. Everyone cheering for the lads, and Merry & Pippin having their own honoring feast is fanastic. Frodo waking up and learning of his dear cousins--all of it, is just wonderful! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful tale! Pippinfan
Author's reply
And thank you for reading! We can never have too many Pippins, can we? *grins*
Grey Wonderer · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Beautiful! I had not read this last chapter before now and it is perfect!
Author's reply
Thank you! This was a fun one. :D
Tigger · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Sigh...And an end comes to this lovely little story. Enjoyed it very much. Especially Frodo's awakening. Loved that it was Aragorn there to see him first and that Merry slept through it. :oD BTW, I've read "In The Keeping of The King" and it's a fantastic story. Highly reccomend it for those who haven't read it. Looking forward to your next story Shirebound!! As always. :o)
Author's reply
Thank you, Tigger dear. And I can just imagine Pippin telling that story in years to come: "...and Merry slept through it! Can you believe it?" :D
Linda Hoyland · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
This has been just delightful.I love your Aragorn and the Hobbits stories.
Author's reply
Thank you, Linda. I just can't seem to stop writing about them!
Frodo Baggins · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Oh, my dear shirebound! This was a wonderful ending! So sweet. You always capture the moment, and draw the reader right in! Bravo! THough, I am sad it's over. There will be more from you, though, no? God Bless, Frodo Baggins
Author's reply
Thank you so much! (And I do have another story trying to get out... just need to find time...) :D
Ariel · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
A sweet and fluffy distraction for a warm afternoon. Thank you, SB! (I finally got a chance to review online!)
Author's reply
Thank you, Ariel! (And I just don't know how all that sweet fluffage keeps creeping in. Very odd...)
Queen Galadriel · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Oh! I could just burst from the happy ending! And that I'm feeling amazingly chipper already only adds to it. :) Such a lovely awakening for Frodo, and I could almost hear the men applauding for Pippin and imagine them listening to the joyous shouts from across camp. You perfectly capture the feeling of jubilation here! Perfect! God bless, Galadriel
Author's reply
Yay for happy endings! Thank you! :D
Lindelea · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Yes, you have enticed me from my reading "fast" (yes, am online, but it is "all business" sad to say) once again. I bless your short chapters. I love the symmetry of beginning and ending with glad shouts. Legolas does understand hobbits! "Start with the kitchen", indeed! This was priceless: “That,” Aragorn told him, “is an Elf of Mirkwood, and a young Knight of Gondor.” Nice gapfiller, and imagining of what Frodo's wakening might have been like. Thanks, Lin
Author's reply
Thank you, Lin! I do love 'symmetry', wherever it's possible to weave it in. It's always lovely to hear from you. *wishing you a calmer 'online' summer -- reading AND writing -- if possible*
Antane · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
End?! What do you mean end?! There's more to tell - please! But if it must end, it was nice to have Frodo waking and discovering what's he's missed. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
Yes, we've come to the end of everything this particular plot bunny was urging me to write. Thank you for reading, Antane!
Andrea · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
“Hullo, Pip,” Frodo grinned. “Did we miss anything?” Oh, I like that! Imagine Frodo waking up with no idea where he is and finding a sleeping Merry curled up by his side! I love happy hobbits :)
Author's reply
So do I! Happy hobbits make everything better. :D
Pearl Took · 20 April 2006 · Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Hoorah!! “And what is that?” Frodo smiled broadly, pointing past Aragorn’s shoulder. Pippin and Legolas had arrived just after Aragorn, and stood in the entrance. Pippin stared at his cousin in shock. “That,” Aragorn told him, “is an Elf of Mirkwood, and a young Knight of Gondor.” LOL I love that!! “You see, Frodo?” Pippin laughed. "You didn't miss a thing! Nothing at all has changed.” No, of course it hasn't!!! Wonderful, m'dear. Wonderful!
Author's reply
Thank you, Pearl! Happy hobbits, whatever their circumstances... :D
Linda Hoyland · 19 April 2006 · Chapter 3: Chapter Three
What a sweet image of Aragorn curled beside the Hobbits.I loved how Pippin pleaded with him to stay
Author's reply
Ah, that Pippin... he can charm even kings and wizards. :D
Antane · 18 April 2006 · Chapter 3: Chapter Three
Sweet! Love Frodo's reaction to the rain and seeking Sam's hand and Sam holding his and love Pippin too. Keep that TLC coming! :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
Author's reply
I promise to always shower hobbits all the TLC they so richly deserve!
Daynawayna · 18 April 2006 · Chapter 3: Chapter Three
Once again, I am in utter awe. Shirebound, where does it come from? This is just WONDERFUL! :) I love the relationships these characters have, and how well you expound on them. They are REAL and just absolutely wonderful. I'm just starting LOTR for the 3rd reading (Frodo, Sam and Pip are on their way to Crickhollow after Frodo's 50th birthday), and I can't seem to remember Pip getting squashed by a troll at the Black Gate. I think I need to re-read that, since this is not the first time I've come across a story that at least refers to it! LOL I can't wait for more... if I can find more time to read, that is! :) Thank you for keeping these wonderful characters alive and well for us. Keep it coming! :D
Author's reply
Oh my, thank you so much! I think all this comes from a need to see hobbits safe, honored, loved, and comfortable. :D (Yes, Pippin gets rather "squashed" doing something extremely heroic, and is made a Knight of the City prior to the Ring-bearers' awakening. ROTK is full of wonderful things.)
Tigger · 17 April 2006 · Chapter 3: Chapter Three
Awww...What a sweet chapter. Pippin wanting Aragorn near, just for comfort. And Pippin's the one to tell Aragorn about Faramir and Eowyn. Loved that "What!?!" from Aragorn. I can imagine that would have been quite the surprising comment for him to hear. :oD Looking forward to the next chapter!!
Author's reply
Thanks, Tigger. It must be very entertaining to the wounded soldiers -- and everyone else -- to have such an irrepressible tween amongst them. :D
puppypersonLOTR · 17 April 2006 · Chapter 3: Chapter Three
what a lovely peaceful chapter...
Author's reply
Our hobbits and rangers deserve a little peace, and a good night's sleep! :D
