Now this is a surprise! I wonder how the rest of the party guests will react to this one? Looks like I'm all caught up on the chapters so I guess you'll just have to write more, won't you? LOL Thanks for another lovely chapter.
Author's reply
LOl! Yeah, well, I think my posting is finally starting to catch up with my possessed pen... Glad you're enjoying this!

(I glare at him jokingly. "Don't tell me you never talk to Bill. I've seen you do it." That silences him and we walk out of the hole.)
I love that line! I also enjoyed the joking around about what the cat's name really should have been. Lovely chapter!

Sorry, Frodo dear, don't mean to laugh, but you see...Arwen and I have the same real name and get mixed up alot in real life that this is just, well, a very funny coincidence!

Yuck! Rumurs! How distastful! Though I do enjoy watching these kind of problems fixed! So Merry AND Pippin have admirers also! Cute.
I was so happy to see Aragorn! And in his ranger clothing and all! *Heh*
I did not expect that at all! A pleasent surprise for them! I thought Aragorn would come in all kingly-like, and not have a friendly welcome, but definitly better this way, cause Hobbits don't usually like strange or big folk waltsin in and especially if he is a ruler! Aragorn is smart, (Or I should say you are.) Hehe. I love this story!+!
Namarie God bless ~Arwen
Author's reply
Yeah, well, I got a great idea on how to fix it. I hope you'll like it! I bet you can't guess who Pippin's admirer is....
And I just HAD to put Aragorn in here, even though it doesn't really follow the book. Glad you like it!

Yeah, I know, but I promise I'll leave you be after this! LOL!
Indeed, *very* specific. And it makes perfect sense that those Hobbits who were most influenced by the ruffians might be led to think such things. I wouldn't
put it past Saruman's folk. Ugh!
And I'm perfectly sure that since you're going to address these issues, you're going to do it right, so have at it! And you'd better get at those perverts
first, because after I'm done, there may not be any left. :)

· Chapter 7: Rumors
Yes, I know it isn't true. But if it's what such a statement immediately makes me think, thanks to my having an accidental few glimpses of the dark side of fanfic, then those loud-mouthed, know-nothing gossips are in danger of the wrath of Galadriel. I can't bring myself to write such a supposition, and can't believe it entered my mind, and I'd find it hard to believe that anyone in the Shire would be thinking such a thing either.
On the other hand, if they're concerned about propriety as in servant-master, well, that's just bull.
I hope I don't seem on edge; I'm afraid I bristle when that aforementioned dark side is even hinted at, because it's horrible.
God bless,
Galadriel
Author's reply
That's ok! Yeah, makes me angry as well. I left it to go either way in their thinking. I I like to make points in my stories, and well, God is very specific about these issues, so I figured I would address them. Luckily I haven't actually read anything of the sort, but I know it's out there, and try to steer clear of it. There are few in the Shire, mostly those influenced by the Ruffians, who I believe would be turned from Innocent hobbity ways. Just my opinon of course. Btw- You can have at those loud mouthed people, with my blessing! As long as you let me at 'em too!

· Chapter 4: The Message
"The whole room grows quiet as I read it to myself. Then I look up. "She's giving me Bag End."
Wow! that was an awesome scene! I can't get over how well you write. The suspense was great and Frodo's line there is perfect. The whole thing is really, really good. You have a talent for dialogue. I am looking forward to all your next chapters!
Well, I started writing ago when I was young, and I took some creative writing classes in college, but then I had a long period of working and raising family, and I have just now come back to writing. I came back by writing the fic that's posted here at SoA. Then I got an idea for a novel of my own, and wrote it. It's Christian fiction and it's not a romance, though, and I couldn't find a traditional agent and publisher. It's about an orphaned fourteen-year-old boy growing up, and it's set in 1934 in a unique Czech community in my home town.
I just couldn't find anyone who thought it fit their market. So I looked around for a self-publishing place, and I am publishing it myself. But I am working on a second novel now that I think will be more saleable. So I'm going to give the traditional-publishing thing another try.
Author's reply
Thanks! *blushes* So glad you like this!
Your story sounds REALLY good! I love reading historical fiction type stories, or ones not set in our time period, but I can't really write them.

This is great Elanor. There is so much truth in the idea that people ignore greater disasters because they can only cope with so much. If it affects you closely and personally then you have to deal with it. Other things may be of passing interest but don't affect our everyday life.
