Queen Galadriel · 11 October 2006 · Chapter 15: The Long Night

Oh, Anna! What a good pup! Oh, I'm so glad! Now they have some protection and someone to keep them company and help them stay calm till the others find them. And oh, poor Frodo! Rain, cold, fever too I'm guessing, and grief...this is not good. They really *will* need a residential healer now. Merry's badly hurt and Frodo will be overwrought. I hope Halmir is all right when all is over. The motherly part of me tells me that this isn't good for one just recovering as he is. Halmir seemed to hear, or feel, rather, a gentle whisper. "Let him know that you are near. Show him that there is yet hope. Give him cause to see the dawn." Halmir lifted his head. That was the answer, and he had known it all along. Halmir had not long to wait for an oppurtunity to carry out the gentle suggestion. Frodo woke with a start and a stifled cry moments later. He looked at Halmir, and then at Merry's body. Frodo sunk back down with a groan, but Halmir was their to offer a comforting embrace. He didn't say anything. Halmir knew that in times of such great grief, words were empty and meaningless. So Halmir wrapped his arms around Frodo and held him like he would his frightened little sister. Frodo returned the embrace greatfully and silent tears slid down his hot cheeks. Oh, this is so gentle and loving. *hugs them all, Anna included* And thank you thank you thank you for a little relief from the torturous cliffhangers! LOL! There's still lots of suspense, to be sure, but at least things are beginning to come together and there will be a search party on the way soon enough. Then lots of h/c, right? :) God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

*Anna licks you and wags tail* Anna says thanks! LOL! I couldn't resist putting her in there. :) It seems like something my Annie would do(I dreamed about her last night). I know why you mentioned Frodo. It's because of what I said to on the phone to you the other night, isn't it? Well, I talked to you and so it dosen't count. It will only get worse for him. Your maternal instinct never fails, my dear. *knowing smile that only authors can have, though you know what it is* Hannon le! I hoped I hadn't butchered that scene. I was tired, emotional wreck, as I am now. So I hope the chapter I'm about to post will turn out. Must go. Namarie, melinyel! God Bless, Frodo Baggins Post Script: Where is Pippin? No one's mentioned him either, and he didn't just leave Middle Earth to go vanishing into space. :) Don't worry, though, because I'm not that good at Pippin h/c. :)

Antane · 10 October 2006 · Chapter 14: Gone

Merry can't die!! I trust he will heal. Poor Frodo - pain too deep for tears, dear me. Does this mean your computer troubles are over and I'll be hearing from you and Frodo soon? Please, pretty please with a mushroom on top? Did he get my letters? Namarie, God bless, Melinyel, Antane :)

Author's reply

Weeellll...since you added a mushroom...LOL! That was really cute. ;) *could I really have a mushroom?* Frodo got your letters, and yes he can reply. And will reply very soon. He told me to tell you that they blessed him more than words can say, but writing is very difficult on a ship, albeit an Elven ship. Don't worry, nothing has happened. Mail is very slow between Tol Eressa and here. :) And as to the story...my lips are sealed. *Baggins mischeivous twinkle in eyes* And do honestly think that I would kill my cousin? Hmmm? I thought as much. :) God BLess! Namarie, mell nin! Im mil le, Yours falling asleep and dreaming of mushrooms, Frodo Baggins

Queen Galadriel · 10 October 2006 · Chapter 14: Gone

Oh, this is not good. This is so not good! You are torturing me, my friend! Merry's not dead, I know that much, but you sure are good at making it seem that way. And I just hope there really isn't something breathing heavily in the darkness...*shudders* I agree with Larner: Hurry, Aragorn! And I'll add my own: Hurry, *all* of you! Oh dear, oh dear! God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

Ah, do you *know* Merry's not dead? He could die, and then be brought back to life...no, I'm only teasing of course. He's alive, but barely. I hadn't thought about something *really* being out there. Hannon le, you've just endangered our dears more. :) I haven't even showed you Sam yet. He's in a state, wot. And Aragorn *can't* hurry, as you'll soon see why. *Baggins mischeivous grin* Namarie! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Elanor Silmariën · 10 October 2006 · Chapter 14: Gone

Eeep! *is terrified* You just left us there!? What's wrong with Merry? He can't be dead, can he????? Please write more soon! God bless, Ellie

Author's reply

I think you know the answer to the question about Merry being dead. :) Just thin about it, could I honestly *kill* my cousin? Hmm? I didn't think so. However, he is in very bad shape. :( I will write more asap. Namarie! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Larner · 9 October 2006 · Chapter 14: Gone

All right, Aragorn--where are you? Hurry now!

Author's reply

OH but you don't understand! If Aragorn hurried, that would spoil the story. I promise that they will be found by morning, but like Halmir wisely surmised, it will be a long night. Namarie! GOd Bless, Frodo Baggins

Elanor Silmariën · 24 September 2006 · Chapter 13: Waiting

Ah! No help yet!? *clings to cliff desparately* Please help us down soon! God bless, Ellie p.s. Sam had better find the rope soon and help!

Elanor Silmariën · 24 September 2006 · Chapter 12: An Adventure

Rope would be good right about now! How CAN you do this to us! AHH! And there everything was going nice and happily and then.... that! *rushes away to read the rest before hyperventalating* God bless, Ellie

Elanor Silmariën · 24 September 2006 · Chapter 11: Camp-ins and Stories

Oh, that was fun! Ana sounds sooooo much like my puppy, Molly! She's always begging, and is the most hyper dog in the world! Those stories were so good! And Halmir's was so sweet and sad at the same time. I especially liked Pippin's and Sam's, they were so funny! God bless, Ellie

Elanor Silmariën · 24 September 2006 · Chapter 10: The King Jumped Over the Moon

OOh! A camp-in! Sounds like fun! Can I come? God bless, Ellie

Author's reply

Sure! I'd welcome you, really, if you can come! :) Namarie! Frodo Baggisn

Larner · 5 September 2006 · Chapter 13: Waiting

Yes, Sam has all too much reason to worry about the safety of the other four. Yes, a cliffhanger.

Author's reply

:) Hannon le for your review, mell nin! Of course it's a cliffhanger! :) But it won't last *too* long. :) Namarie! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Queen Galadriel · 4 September 2006 · Chapter 13: Waiting

*squirms* Frodo Baggins, this is not funny! It's not fair either! Do be so kind as to reread your summary. Now is it really fair to keep one who played such a part in the making of the first part of this tale hanging like this? (No, no, I'm kidding! Really!) Oh, but I think it's bad for me! Poor Sam! He's going to have a terrible night! And I do hope someone comes and finds our three adventurers before morning! It doesn't seem too safe for them to be out in that great city at night, and I shudder to think what might happen if Merry doesn't get medical attention soon; he could be very badly hurt! Oh, Frodo, please hurry! God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

Oh dear! My mom said I have to stop for a while because our computer is whacked! And right when I found the rope, too! I'm dreadfully sorry! Yes, it is fair to keep you hanging. You entrusted this Halmir thing to me...and let's just say I'm enjoying the power!! Mwahaha! LOL! Of course it's not safe for them to be out at night! Haven't you been listening? NO, JK. But really, it's not safe in the least, especially with the condition Merry is in and the condition Frodo will be in. But that's the *point*, Sam. Don't you see? I'll hurry, I'll hurry. :) GOd Bless, Frodo Baggins

Larner · 30 August 2006 · Chapter 12: An Adventure

Smart aleck! Heh! Poor Halmir is reminded of so many losses, but is at least surrounded by love. Now, to rescue Merry!

Author's reply

Hey now! Don't insult me so! LOL! I'm only teasing. *mischeivous grin* Halmir is indeed surrounded by love-more love than he knows about. But it will soon be discovered, as you will see. Namarie! God Bless, Frodo Baggins P.S. Rescue Merry? Who said anything about rescuing him? LOL! Don't worry...yet.

Queen Galadriel · 30 August 2006 · Chapter 12: An Adventure

*kneels before you and clasps hands* Noooooooooooo, nooooooooo! Pleeeeease don't do this! That's not fair! I'm gonna die, hanging here off two cliffs! It's *not fair*! *takes deep breath and calms down some* Okay. I love seeing Miriel again-I wondered if she'd be back, and after this mishap, they'll need a residential healer! Seriously. And I applaud you on this line: The trio set off through the garden gate and into an adventure greater than any one of them could have ever imagined. Positively chilling! I knew something was up right then! Budgie *should* read this-she deserves it LOL! And soon I'll write a fanfic just for you, her, and Antane, to repay you all for all your nice little cliff-hangers. Mwahahahaha! *looks innocent* Please update as soon as you can-I don't know how long I can stand this! God bless, Galadriel P.S. Did somebody say something about rope? *grin*

Author's reply

*placing hands on your shoulders* My goodness! Is it really all that bad? Or have been having late nights, again? *evil smile because I know that it really *is* all that bad* WEll, you can't say I didn't warn you. Apparently it turned out to be a good deal more than you expected. That's good. But don't worry, their adventure is far from over...having you all ansy has just given me loads of new ideas and mishaps that could happen to three, defensless little people...Mwahahaha! I'm glad you liked Miriel's reappearence. I couldn't take her out of the story. She really was such a dear. And since you've guessed it, you're right. Miriel will enter the story once again. Poor Miriel! LOL! Hannon le for your compliment on that line. It was meant to be cilling, but I suppose you know that. Oh, you wouldn't do that to your *poor* master, would you? I mean, it just wouldn't be proper! LOL! God Bless, Frodo Baggins P.S. Oh darn! I forgot that Sam was hanging off my little cliff as well, and I forgot about rope! Oh well...*evil grin*

Antane · 21 August 2006 · Chapter 11: Camp-ins and Stories

Cute ending. And Aragorn was a very good sport in the last chapter to attempt that dance. Shows how dear his friends are to him. I do wonder though what his first thoughts of Frodo were. I bet he'd be able to see that elven light that was Iluvatar's grace shining through. Namarie, God bless, Im mil le, Antane :)

Author's reply

Hannon le! Yes, Aragorn was good sport. And I don't doubt that all of his friends would be very dear to him. I think that in the Fellowship, when he said, "if by my life or death I can save you, I will" it was out of duty; but as they travelled on, I think that Aragorn would have come to love all of the Hobbits (I mean, really, who can resist them? Obviously not me) Oh yes! Aragorn's thoughts on the first meeting of Frodo would make an interesting story. You'll have to wait.*knowing smile*Namarie! God BLess, Frodo Baggins

Larner · 19 August 2006 · Chapter 11: Camp-ins and Stories

Ah, so going to work with Dad was a treat then, too. Interesting stories.

Author's reply

Hannon le, Larner! I was desperate on all the stories. The Hobbits's stories were taken from my own adventures with my cousins (except for Sam's. I just thought that was funny.) Namarie! God BLess, Frodo Baggins

Queen Galadriel · 19 August 2006 · Chapter 11: Camp-ins and Stories

*shrieks with laughter* Oh my goodness! I recognise some of those stories! LOL! But "Merry took my good tea..." LOL! Oh my word...LOL! That is too funny! So Anna has a sense of humour too, huh? *grin* But poor Halmir. Those memories are still so fresh for him. And that was a very sweet story; his father seems a very loving one. I love the sweet little moment at the end, with Legolas and Gimli peeping in at the pile of Hobbits, boy, and puppy sleeping snuggly in the tent. :) Clever and wonderful, my dear! God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

LOL!! Oh, my Queen! I'm laughing now from how funny you thought that was!! LOL! I couldn't think of *anything* for any of the Hobbits. What I had had for Pippin was...I could not pick up on my train of thought. And I was thinking, "Oh, great, I don't even have one story, and I have to come up with *five*!" LOL! But, apparently, I did alright. I'm glad that the whole thing about stories still being too fresh for Halmir was conveyed. I didn't want to overdo it, but I did want to get the point across. I thought Legolas and Gimli peeking in would be a nice touch, and I'm thrilled you approve. :) Hannon le! GOd BLess, Im mil le, Frodo Baggins Author Reply: I forgot... Your recognize some of those stories, do you? *mischeivous grin* Well, let's just say when all else fails, my own cousin experiences work wonders! LOL! And you know that most of my cousin fluff is taken from real life cousin fluff! :) Namarie...again! God BLess, Your Frodo

Queen Galadriel · 18 August 2006 · Chapter 10: The King Jumped Over the Moon

LOL! Oh my goodness, I had no idea you were going to save *that* bit! LOL! Oh, what fun! I love it! And more fun ahead, it seems, with the camp-in! :) God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

I was reading over it, and I thought, "I just have to make this fit! It's too funny to let it pass into the vaults and never be viewed!" LOL! I had a little difficulty coming up with a way to get the dignified Aragorn to dance! LOL! Did it sound alright? Yes...the camp in. And then....*scary music* God Bless, Im mil le, Frodo Baggins

Larner · 17 August 2006 · Chapter 10: The King Jumped Over the Moon

Aha--caught up at last! A camp-in sounds wonderful, and remember the ones we'd have when I was a child, although there were no fires.

Author's reply

*smile* You did them too? THe camp-in is completely from experience. I had such fun growing up doing them with my sisters and cousins. (though camp outs were the best) Being the eldest, I have always been the Captain of the Campers. And now I'm so excited because a new group of second cousins and first cousins are growing up and I can share the joy of camp ins with them! I already have had several successful experiences. But there, I'll stop. I can talk forever about my cousins and my family. Hannon le! Namararie! God BLess, Frodo Baggins

Larner · 17 August 2006 · Chapter 9: Midnight Meeting

Indeed hearts are being healed. And then to get the begging faces used on him.... Frodo has his hands full.

Author's reply

You bet he does! The begging faces are the *worst*, I speak from experience, being the elder sister of an adorable and clever wheedling brother. Yeah...I'm a softie. :)Hannon le for reviewing! Namrarie, God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Larner · 17 August 2006 · Chapter 8: Next Morning

Stories told can be embarrassing, but also can help one recover from the night before. Nice.

Author's reply

Hannon le!! Glad you're catching up! Very truly yours, Frodo Baggins

Larner · 17 August 2006 · Chapter 7: Nightmares

Catching up. Poor Frodo, having to deal with such dreams engendered by his guilt and the lingering effects of the Ring. The grief of it would be overwhelming.

Author's reply

Yes, the grief truly would be overwhelming. Especially when he knows that it really could have happened. (those are the worst kind of nightmares) Hannon le! God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Queen Galadriel · 11 August 2006 · Chapter 9: Midnight Meeting

Again, one of the most memorable parts of the story for me! Wow! Talk about going down memory lane! :) And now comes...the adventure, right? :) You're doing an excellent job, my dear, and you know you can call on me if you need any help. God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

I thought I replied to this. I know. Working on this story is so very memorable. *sitting back, eyes distant*. But the chapter I just posted is the most memorable for me! But now no more editing. I have to do it on my own (with your advice, of course). Except for that one...thing...that is going to happen. I am afraid I can't consult you on that. Sorry! LOL! Namarie, God Bless, Frodo Baggins

Queen Galadriel · 5 August 2006 · Chapter 8: Next Morning

I love the way you counter major angst. :) Oh, wow, didn't we have fun with that? That had to be the most fun. How *do* you come up with such nightmares? I've read it a zillion times and it still makes me want to cry. Off to read FOTR (yours, that is) :). God bless, Galadriel

Author's reply

Yes, we did have such joy writing this. Only...we left off. IN the middle of Pippin's story!! AHHH!! I don't know where to go with this thing. I mean...I think I can remember some of the stuff we discussed, but...I'll be calling you in a couple of weeks. I'm glad you like the nightmare. Well, sort of! Oh, dear! I do believe that I have created another confusion. FOTR!! Oops! Maybe we need to resort to the asterix trick...LOL! (inside joke) Namarie Falling asleep.... God Bless Frodo Baggins

Antane · 28 July 2006 · Chapter 7: Nightmares

Oh, the poor dear! What a terrible, terrible nightmare!! But I love the way he dreamed Sam's everlasting love even then and that Sam is sleeping right alongside his Frodo now. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Thanks! I've been having such fun with this. When I first wrote the nightmare, the Queen asked me, "How do you come up with something that scary?" I don't know. But it got the point across, I think. Namarie, God BLess, Frodo Baggins

Larner · 24 July 2006 · Chapter 6: There's Always Hope

Yes, two broken ones finding kinship with one another. Lovely!

Author's reply

Hannon le, mell nin! Glad you like it so far! God Bless, Frodo Baggins
