What a lovely, happy scene. I can picture all of it perfectly.

Linda Hoyland · 16 June 2011 · Chapter 73: Garden: New Growth (A. + Arwen)

What a lovely idea that Arwen should restore the garden. Just delightful!

Ellynn · 16 June 2011 · Chapter 73: Garden: New Growth (A. + Arwen)

Aww, so sweet and lovely. :)

Estelcontar · 13 June 2011 · Chapter 72: Life: Birth (A. + Arwen + Eldarion + OC)

That was such a charming and endearing tale. Just the kind I love to read. I think Aragorn and Arwen must have waited and longed so much for a moment like this, that it makes me really, really happy to see it portrayed in such a subtle and loving way. I think that making them have twins was a very nice touch indeed.

I like this Ainu Laire. Never thought of Eldarion being a twin. But, why not? Genetics, right? What a wonderful teaser for your story. I cannot wait for your updates.

Author's reply

Hey, thanks for the review! I am posting the first story (in what I hope will be a long series) right now, and I update every Monday. I am not sure if alerts are working, I am not receiving new review emails... And yes, I blame genetics :)

Cairistiona · 11 June 2011 · Chapter 72: Life: Birth (A. + Arwen + Eldarion + OC)

What a beautiful moment in Aragorn and Arwen's lives... and who's to say Eldarion didn't have a twin sister. I like that idea, and of course it goes well with the way twins run in Arwen's family line.

Author's reply

Thanks for reviewing! I like to think that Aragorn had twins somewhere, whether it was Eldarion's twin or a pair of girls. I mean, it seems so natural in the peredhel line XD

Estelcontar · 11 June 2011 · Chapter 71: Healing: The King's Hands (A. + Faramir)

I really did enjoy your take on Aragorn's healing of Faramir. Your Aragorn shows the right measure of determined and compassionate perseverance and I like the idea of Faramir envisioning Ithilien as a wasteland before touching Aragorn's hand.

shirebound · 11 June 2011 · Chapter 72: Life: Birth (A. + Arwen + Eldarion + OC)

In her arms, wrapped in warm blankets, were the children— their children. Such a joyous moment for them, and all of Middle-earth!

Author's reply

Indeed so! Have to love newborns :)

shirebound · 11 June 2011 · Chapter 71: Healing: The King's Hands (A. + Faramir)

That's a wonderful scene. Aragorn is so gentle and yet so persistent. The dialogue is just perfect.

Absolutely beautiful, Laire. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for reading :)

Estelcontar · 8 June 2011 · Chapter 70: Green: Healing Herbs (A. + Elrond)

Lairë, this is a most captivating tale Aragorn's learning days. I loved seeing him instinctively choose the Athelas jar. I totally agree with Elrond. It was a most interesting choice indeed.

harrowcat · 8 June 2011 · Chapter 71: Healing: The King's Hands (A. + Faramir)

I think that this is one of the best versions of this that I have read. Lovely vision.

Author's reply

Thank you very much! Quite the compliment ^^ I am glad you enjoyed it.

eiluj · 6 June 2011 · Chapter 71: Healing: The King's Hands (A. + Faramir)

Over the years I've read a number of these Aragorn-searches-for-someone's-soul fics, whether Faramir, Frodo, Sam, Merry, or Éowyn ... probably Pip as well. This is definitely a good one. Faramir seeing Ithilien as a wasteland was an especially good touch. I also liked The moment their palms touched, the barren world about them suddenly flew away. And the fact that the Aragorn Faramir saw when he woke was quite different from the figure who appeared in his delirium (though being Faramir, he had no difficulty recognizing him).

Author's reply

Thank you! Quite the compliment, considering how many there are! Heh, people seem to forget that Ithilien is Faramir's really special spot... :) Thank you for reviewing!

shirebound · 1 June 2011 · Chapter 70: Green: Healing Herbs (A. + Elrond)

Elrond's eyes lit up as he recognized the leaves. "An interesting choice, Estel. That's a sweet and interesting scene between them.

Thank you ^^

Hee! I love that Estel grabbed the jar of athelas first! Such a sweet moment between him and Elrond. (And what's your new name going to be? Or is it a surprise??)

I'll let you know my new username soon as I get an okay from the moderators here on SoA.

harrowcat · 1 June 2011 · Chapter 70: Green: Healing Herbs (A. + Elrond)

This is absolutely brilliant. And I love how you bring in the Athelas. I look forward to meeting you in your new persona.

Author's reply

Well, you know how athelas and young kings go together... :)

Linda Hoyland · 1 June 2011 · Chapter 70: Green: Healing Herbs (A. + Elrond)

I loved the way Aragorn instinctively chose the athelas to learn about.

Author's reply

Yea, you know how athelas and kings are attracted to one another :)

Linda Hoyland · 1 February 2011 · Chapter 69: Delegation: The Foreign Captain (A. + Thengel + Ecthelion)

I enjoyed this glimpse of the first meeting between these two.

Linda Hoyland · 1 February 2011 · Chapter 66: Wildlife: The Gift (A. + Eldarion + OC)

Poor Aragorn! Just delightful!

Estelcontar · 31 January 2011 · Chapter 69: Delegation: The Foreign Captain (A. + Thengel + Ecthelion)

I like the idea of Ectelion seeing Thorongil for the first time in Rohan. Fascinating glimpse of the beginning of a great friendship.

Larner · 31 January 2011 · Chapter 69: Delegation: The Foreign Captain (A. + Thengel + Ecthelion)

Oh, but I LOVE this first sighting by Ecthelion of Thorongil. A most fascinating beginning to what will be in the end a most rewarding friendship between the Steward and what will be his greatest Captain.

Ellynn · 31 January 2011 · Chapter 69: Delegation: The Foreign Captain (A. + Thengel + Ecthelion)

Lovely ficlet. And now I'd like to read that talk between Ecthelion and Thorongil. *sweet puppy look*

Estelcontar · 22 January 2011 · Chapter 68: Colour: No Purer Gold (A. + Frodo + Elrond + Glorfindel)

Exhausted as he was, it's no wonder it was hard to escape the Rings allurements. Well done.

Author's reply

Thanks, Est! Honestly, I don't think most other Men would have been able to hold off as long as he did.

Estelcontar · 22 January 2011 · Chapter 66: Wildlife: The Gift (A. + Eldarion + OC)

You described the Dúnedain's plight very well here.

Darkover · 21 January 2011 · Chapter 21: Home: Thoughts of Home (A. + hobbits)

I've just started reading these lovely ficlets of yours, and they are delightful. You have an excellent gift for description, and some of these fics are very moving. I am very glad that you have portrayed Aragorn as the man he was in the bookverse, not the movies. I enjoyed the movies, too, but the Aragorn as portrayed by PJ and the script writers was only a pale shadow of the impressive king-in-exile as written by Tolkien. You have done Tolkien's characters justice. Thank you for writing and posting these fics. Sincerely, Darkover

Author's reply

Ah, thank you very much! I have been writing these over the course of nearly 5 years now, so you'll also see some drastic improvements in grammar and characterization the further you move along. I am glad you enjoyed it, nevertheless.
