I hope guilt didn't cloud Aragorn's last days - he would, I think, have found it hard to forget that his mortality had condemned Arwen to death. While she must have feared what she didn't understand - and could hardly reassure him.

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I always feel, given Aragorn's serene death and hope fr what lay ahead that he would be able to overcome any guilt about her leaving the world, but I fear he must have felt guilty about her eparation from her family.

So Gilraen is giving birth without Arathorn there! Perhaps she should take it as a sign ... I like her father's point of view!

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I would imagine the father being present was pretty rare in those days save fr Elves.I imagine Arathrn is off orc hunting somewhere and will have a nice surprise when he returns.

Nearly forty years is a long time to out-live one who has been like a son. I like seeing this from Arwen's POV.

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you liked it.I often feel that Aragorn's latter years must have been very hard for him and tinged with sadness.

Aragorn is starting to pay the price of his pure Numenorean blood. Luckily, he still has Arwen, and work to do. Sadly effective.

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I think every great gift comes with a cost.IT must be very hard to outlive all your friends, and i've known people that happened too,who by the end of their long lives were as eager to return the Gift as Aragorn.

Raksha The Demon · 2 March 2007 · Chapter 1: The Dawn of Hope

Aw, the birth of little Aragorn Estel Thorongil Longshanks Strider Wingfoot Elessar! What a great day it must have been for Arathorn, Gilraen, the Rangers, and of course all of the West. Nicely done.

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you liked it.just as well, Aragorn didn't gain all his names at once !

Larner · 1 March 2007 · Chapter 2: Darkening Days

For Arwen the realization Aragorn would go first must have been all she could bear.

Author's reply

I agree,it is a cruel knowledge to carry.

What a nice snapshot of Ivorwen, and of these three females doing what females have traditionally done for millenia - sharing a special moment in time, welcoming new life into the world.

Author's reply

Thank you for your much appreciated review. I never thought I'd write about Ivorwen but she jumped into my head with the other ladies and baby Aragorn.i'm pleased you liked it.

Poor Arwen, you figure it must have been hard on her to know she'd be the last one left, especially knowing she was going to have to go through losing her beloved Estel.

Author's reply

I truly feel for poor Arwen. It must have been very hard indeed.
