this is one amazing chapter among many- with the hobbits in the beginning, Sam finding out about Faramir and the last bit of dialogue. Masterful story-telling.

PipMer · 31 December 2008 · Chapter 11: At Journey's End
I found this story on the MEFA website, and I just have to comment. This story was extraordinarily well written! I enjoyed every moment of it.. even the moments of Faramir's deepest despair. I just had a feeling that he would come back home in the end! I can see why this story won first place in its category... beautifully done!
lovethosehobbits · 23 April 2008 · Chapter 11: At Journey's End
I am just now catching up on this wonderful tale. Masterfully done, little girl. I loved every sentence. I was reluctant at first to read it as it had other characters in it right from the first, and usually I stick to the Fellowship and a few other characters with brief appearances. I am so glad that I took the time to get hooked and continue reading. A lovely tale indeed.
Stefania · 12 April 2008 · Chapter 11: At Journey's End
Hi Helen - This was a very satisfying ending to a great AU story. You convincingly portrayed mental and emotional illness within the framework of 4rth Age Middle Earth without getting too cloying and maudlin. I'm sure everyone would like to have Cirdan and Ranan around to heal our emotional torments! I'm so glad that you gave Faramir a happy ending after all he had been through. - Steff
Larner · 29 March 2008 · Chapter 11: At Journey's End
Wonderful, Helen. I'm glad they didn't rush it too much, but allowed the healing and marriage to progress naturally. And that they returned on the Grey Swan was so appropriate. I noted a few problems with possessives and a couple homonyms, but the language overall was so well handled! Very well done!
Linda Hoyland · 29 March 2008 · Chapter 11: At Journey's End
A lovely ending to a story I've greatly enjoyed. I especially liked the scenes for Faramir and Aragorn. I do hope you will write more friendship stories for these two in the future. Thank you for a great read.
Agape4Gondor · 29 March 2008 · Chapter 11: At Journey's End
Absolutely lovely story. My heart broke for Estel... but all's well that ends well. Great job - it was a delight to read. (except for the finger nail chewing!) LOL
Neilia · 29 March 2008 · Chapter 11: At Journey's End
Oh, Helen! This ending chapter is so very beautiful! You tale has had me totally engrossed, mentally and emotionally. So very well written. *sigh* The strings are all tied, the characters are together and whole. :) Love, Neilia ps I am an incurable romantic, after all...*giggle* Me

Hi Helen - RL has kept me away from fan fic these past few weeks. Boy, am I glad to get back to "Out of Memory and Time." This was a touching chapter. So glad to have Min/Faramir finally face up to his demons. I wonder how this will affect him in the next chapter? Time to read it! - Steff
Author's reply
Hi Steff Thank you so much for your kind feedback. Min has a long way to go but has many friendly hands to guide him. Hugs Helen
Neilia · 23 March 2008 · Chapter 10: Hope Rekindled
Poor Faramir! I know a little bit about facing truth about oneself. Compaired to his torture and heartache, mine was small; nevertheless, extremely painful. Misconceptions that are ingrained into one when they are young are very hard to reconstruct. Min has more trauma and more hurts to heal than I could imagine carrying. Oh, I am not saying this very well...do write more soon! Love, Neilia
Author's reply
Thank You, Nelia, I really appreciate your comments. Faramir has a lot to face. . .not only the return of his memories but also the grief that has been buried by the amnesia. . . only time will tell if his past insecurities will continue to haunt his future! I hope the final chapter will bring all the loose ends together. Hugs Helen
Linda Hoyland · 23 March 2008 · Chapter 10: Hope Rekindled
A truly gripping chapter but the suspense is killing me!I hope Damrod and Beregond act soon and that Aragorn can help Faramir. I loved the scene with Sam and Aragorn.
Author's reply
Thank you, Linda The wait must be truly awful and I doubt they will resist the urge to act for much longer! Hugs Helen
Larner · 23 March 2008 · Chapter 10: Hope Rekindled
Poor Faramir! And the wait must seem horrendous to Damrod and Beregond!
Author's reply
Thank you, Larner Hopefully the worst is now over for Faramir. Now he needs to find the courage to face up to his friends and accept the comfort and support they are so desperate to offer him! Hugs Helen
Agape4Gondor · 20 March 2008 · Chapter 9: Many Meetings
I can finally sit back with some measure of peace. What a wondrous reunion for Faramir and Aragorn it will be! It's been a glorious tale - thank you. Will continue to read till the finish.
Author's reply
Hi Agape I'm sorry to have led you such a anxious ride *grin* Our courageous and stubborn Ranger has some major challenges ahead but now that his identity has been unearthed he will have many to guide his path. Two more chapters to go. Hugs Helen
Neilia · 17 March 2008 · Chapter 9: Many Meetings
WAHOOO! At last, our Faramir is truly on the path to recovery....whew! Your tale has had me on pins and needles to say the least. Very enjoyable. To think, our dear Sam will bear the news to the King! :D
Author's reply
Hi Neilia Thank you for your lovely excitement! Sam deserves the honour of being the one to break the news and he can leave in the knowledge that Min is in very safe hands. Hugs Helen

Linda Hoyland · 16 March 2008 · Chapter 9: Many Meetings
That was an unexpected twist that Sam should recognise Faramir first !I eagerly await his reunion with Aragorn and Eowyn.
Author's reply
Hi Linda The valar guided Sam's steps. . .who better for a low-key confrontation for Min. And now Sam has an even more important commission. Thank you again for your continued support Helen
Larner · 16 March 2008 · Chapter 9: Many Meetings
Ah, yes--at last! Frodo and Sam are both healing, and now Faramir is as well! And seeing Aragorn alive will be a great blessing for him, I'm certain! As for Eowyn.... He will soon have so much te rejoice for!
Author's reply
Larner Yes, I think now Sam is reassured of Frodo's healing he will allow himself to move on. And Faramir has many reunions to look forward too. . .care to be a fly on the wall? Thank you for your kind words and support Helen

Stefania · 13 March 2008 · Chapter 8: A Safe Haven
I'm really enjoying the pschological approach you take to Min's trauma. Nah, they didn't have shrinks in early Fourth Age Middle Earth, though Radagast and Cirdan are certainly doing their best to analyze Minnow's problems. I'm assuming the guest is Aragorn and possibly his entire entourage. Yet I'm almost rooting for Pippin to be the one to recognize Minnow as Faramir. Your story is as wonderful as ever. - Steff
Author's reply
Hi Steff Thank you. No, no shrinks or prozac in Middle earth but the two Lords, I'm sure, have seen and experienced enough over their long lives to have encountered similar trauma in the past and have the compassion and understanding to know to tread gently. As for the visitor. . .all will be revealed, though not too quickly. . .at least three more chapters to go. Hugs Helen
Linda Hoyland · 8 March 2008 · Chapter 8: A Safe Haven
Another excellent chapter that had me on the edge of my seat. i'm hoping Aragorn will find Faramir before he is any more recovered as I feel he could now help him the most. I liked your Radagast and it was good to see the Hobbits.
Author's reply
Thank You Linda Parts of the puzzle are beginning to come together. Cirdan and Radagast are beginning to have their suspicions as to Min's lineage and are uniquely place to help nudge their young guest to reconnect with his past. . .if they can get past the barriers he has built to protect himself. Hugs Helen
Agape4Gondor · 8 March 2008 · Chapter 8: A Safe Haven
Another sadly glorious chapter. One would think I would be happy for the friendship and ministrations of Lord Cirdan, but I want Faramir healed; I want him back with his family; I want him happy.......... *heavy sigh*
Author's reply
Hi Agape Thank you. I can't promise you all those wishes just yet but rest assured i have Faramir's best interests at heart and I want him happy too! Hugs Helen
Agape4Gondor · 8 March 2008 · Chapter 7: The Wanderer

And so the lost is at last found--almost! What a surprise for the coming King--is this the anniversary of the last sailing, or the Birthday? And what additional healing might the hands of the King offer this lost one? Wonderful!
Author's reply
Hi Larner I don't want to spoil the surprise. . .needless to say it is a significant anniversary! *Grin* I really appreciate your comments and support Hugs Helen
