Markia · 7 March 2008 · Chapter 8: A Safe Haven

I've really been enjoying your story but have to admit being a little impatient for the scene when Min is recognized. The tension's been built. Not to rush you (much!), but please post more soon!!

Author's reply

Hi Markia I'm sorry for keeping you in suspense. . .I promise not to drag it out too much further!! Thank you for your comments Helen

Fantasia · 7 March 2008 · Chapter 8: A Safe Haven

Just one more question, Silver hair? I notice now that you said something about that in another charpter. Does he have grey hair because the stress? and does he feel guilt because he thinks Aragorn dead becuase of him? What a complicate guy is your Faramir...you relly are hard with him, hope that he has a wonderful reward at the end...and I think that I know who is the visitor, but I'll wait for the update. Just don't make me wait to much, you are cruel...

Author's reply

Hi His hair grew in silver after his ordeal. . .a physiological reaction to the shock. He is burdened by guilt, though he is only now under Cirdan's care beginning to identify the reasons for that guilt. As for a happy ending! Fingers crossed. Helen

Hi, thanks for the update... How can you stop right there? I will be waiting for an update the whole weekend now...Please, the visitor has to be someone that knows Faramir, it is time for them to know that he is alive, if not, he will recover his memories only to find out that Eowyn has married another guy, well I'll be very mad at her if that happens...How long has been, Two years ot three? I like this story and really can hardly wait for an update. Well done! Don't you think that is time for good news? Please.... Thanks.

Author's reply

Hi Fantasia, Thank you so much for the feedback. Yes, it is nearly three years that Faramir has been adrift and I wouldn't dare to marry Eowyn off to anyone else, not that she would even consider such a thing *grin* And the visitor?. . .all will be revealed in the next chapter. . .the clues are all there! Hugs Helen

Stefania · 4 March 2008 · Chapter 7: The Wanderer

Things just get better and better. I really enjoyed your introduction of the old man, who of course is Radagast the Brown. The idea of weary old wizard giving some help to poor Min makes me rub my hands together with anticipation. I can't wait for your next chapter. - Steff

Author's reply

Hi Steff Min's wanderings are not yet over but more pieces of the puzzle will be come obvious as the old Wanderer waves his magic! Thank you for your kind support Hugs Helen

Linda Hoyland · 1 March 2008 · Chapter 7: The Wanderer

Poor, poor MIn,things just get worst for him. I was so hoping he would be recognised by the prince then get some TLC From Eowyn and Aragorn.Still, maybe Radagast can help? Gripping as always.

Author's reply

Hi Linda Thank you so much for your comments. There will be TLC for our lost Prince and I promise not to leave him adrift for too long! Hugs and thank you for your continued support Helen

Larner · 1 March 2008 · Chapter 7: The Wanderer

All right, Radagast--now to find Faramir and help effect his healing. One correction--FAINT rather than FEINT, the latter being a ruse used to misdirect an opponent.

Author's reply

Hi Larner Thank you for all your feedback and thank you for recognising the 'blip'. All your comments are very much appreciated Hugs Helen

Larner · 1 March 2008 · Chapter 6: The Scales of Justice

Ah--I look forward to this meeting! I hope there will be recognition.

Larner · 1 March 2008 · Chapter 5: A Close Call

Alas, our beloved friend is fighting the return of the memories--but cannot tell whether these are fare or otherwise.

Larner · 1 March 2008 · Chapter 4: For Whom The Bells Toll

And is Min Faramir, then? Wonderful suspense here.

Marda · 19 February 2008 · Chapter 6: The Scales of Justice

I just found the story and love it. The story is fascinating and the characters are quite good. More, please!

Author's reply

Thank you Marda. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story Helen

Neilia · 18 February 2008 · Chapter 6: The Scales of Justice

Oh! I hope the Prince recognizes Faramir! It is but one and the easiest step to recovery for our Steward, eh? Can't wait for the next chapter. Love, Neilia

Author's reply

Hi Neilia Thank you. It seems the Fates are bringing matters to a head. . .whatch this space!! Hugs helen

Linda Hoyland · 17 February 2008 · Chapter 6: The Scales of Justice

Poor Faramir, what a dreadful ordeal and he is so heroic. I certainly hope that Imrahil does meet Min soon.I think he will have a surprise! I'm glad the villains are caught. I eagerly await more of this gripping story.

Author's reply

Hi Linda Thank you so much for your comments. 'My' Faramir is made of stern stuff and he has proved his quality time and time again! but that ordeal has marked him so deeply that his mind still cannot bear to engage with it. . .hence his extreme reaction and withdrawal. Hugs helen

Stefania · 17 February 2008 · Chapter 6: The Scales of Justice

Shireling, your story just gets better and better. I, too, had a difficult time reading the torture scene, though it wasn't as graphic as some torture scenes in other fanfics that I've read. Thank you for that. Now the plot thickens. Will Imrahil visit the "Duck" and recognized his nephew in Min? Somehow I think that fate will intervene. But maybe I will be surprised. - Steff

Author's reply

Hi Steff Thank you I wanted to convey the horror of Faramir's ordeal without giving a blow-by blow account but I'm sorry if it was upsetting. Min's close encounter with the party from Rohan was clearly a major setback and rocked to his already fragile stability. . .add Imrahil into the mix and who knows what will happen!!!! ;) Helen

Agape4Gondor · 17 February 2008 · Chapter 6: The Scales of Justice

OH!!!! I am soooooo hoping that .... well, you know what I'm hoping. Great chapter... once again, incredibly tense. The telling of the heinous deed was difficult to read, but well written! Thank you for sharing and now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing in the RW will keep you from finishing this!!!

Author's reply

Hi Yes, this chapter wasn't easy to write but the extremity of Faramir's reaction to what he had endured was central to his subsequent, though unconscious, reaction. Thank you for your continued support. Helen

Vicki Turner · 16 February 2008 · Chapter 6: The Scales of Justice

Ah! This story is so good! I wish I had time to leave a longer review but I don't. I just wanted to tell you that there is at least one reader out here (probably many more) who is greatly enjoying this story and wants an another chapter right away! So hurry up! ;) Vicki

Author's reply

Hi Vicki Thank you for your enthusiastic support, it is very much appreciated. Helen

Agape4Gondor · 14 February 2008 · Chapter 5: A Close Call

Wow - potent, taut, extemely nerve-wracking chapter. Can't wait for the next one. I am on tender-hooks!

Linda Hoyland · 13 February 2008 · Chapter 5: A Close Call

A grim and gripping chapter.Thank Goodness Tat was found in time! i hope someone from Dol Amroth does get to see Min!

Larner · 5 February 2008 · Chapter 3: 'Neath a Southern Sky

Excellent revelations. Now to learn who he was and where he came from. Perhaps thrown overboard from one of the Corsairs ships? Interesting.

Larner · 5 February 2008 · Chapter 2: The Sword that was broken

Certainly the King needs this, as does Faramir, I deem! Now, to capture the villains. But to burn those captured? Doesn't sound like our Steward there.

Stefania · 4 February 2008 · Chapter 4: For Whom The Bells Toll

Ah, so Minnow is most likely Faramir, tossed overboard when the bandits tired of their play with him. The plot thickens. - Steff

Author's reply

Hi Steff Yes, poor Faramir really suffered at the hands of the bandits and now Min's story continues! hugs Helen

Agape4Gondor · 4 February 2008 · Chapter 4: For Whom The Bells Toll

Great chapters. As a Boromir lover, I had hoped that it might be Boromir... As it is, I am very glad to know Min has been saved... hopefully, there will be a glorious reunion... and not in the distant future!

Author's reply

Hi and thank you for your comments. Sorry that I couldn't save Boromir! but now that Min's origins are beginning to emerge we can hope for a happier outcome for Faramir. Hugs Helen

Agape4Gondor · 4 February 2008 · Chapter 2: The Sword that was broken

Very plausible scenarios here. The overwhelming guilt that Faramir feels is definitely a reason not to sleep - and dreaming 'bad' dreams of Boromir would drive anyone to stay awake. Very good, exciting chapter.

Linda Hoyland · 4 February 2008 · Chapter 4: For Whom The Bells Toll

A heartrending story. I only hope that my suspicions are correct and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.I am gripped by this story and eagerly awaiting each chapter.

Author's reply

Hi Linda Thank you so much for the feedback. It was a very difficult chapter to write, even knowing where the story was going! I hope to update soon. Hugs Helen

Agape4Gondor · 3 February 2008 · Chapter 0: Minnow

I very much love and agree with your assessment of Gondor's ability to trade; I like the fact that Imrahil is 'supporting' Aragorn, and I like the captain's ethics! Your characters are easily liked and I am looking forward to reading more! Blessings and thanks for sharing.
