Hee hee hee! Oh the trouble those 2 can get into! Luckily it wasn't serious and they met a wonderfuly family. Love Aragorn and Faramir's teasing.

StarCaptain · 11 August 2008 · Chapter 6: Discoveries

Loved this story! Loved it , loved it !! ... I don't know what else to stay except - keep up the good work!

Linda Hoyland · 9 August 2008 · Chapter 6: Discoveries

An enjoyable ending to an enjoyable story.I'd love to see a sequel and how their wives react.I think they should send a nice doll to Haneth for finding them !THe family deserve rewarding for their kindness to two strangers.

Author's reply

A boy, a sequel. To be honest, I have no idea how they'll react myself. I imagine it would be somewhere between exasperation, relief, and annoyance... perhaps with some amusement mixed in for fun. I don't want to force any sequel, but if one does come up, I'll post it.

Estelcontar · 9 August 2008 · Chapter 6: Discoveries

A most fitting end to a very enjoyable story, Läire. I'm glad Aragorn manage to heal Celon's pain. I loved the ending. It was most delicious. But of course now that you left us wondering, I expect another story to settle once for all who's the best.

Author's reply

You are not the first to ask! And, to be quite honest, I am not sure which of them is the best, either. But yours and Lindahoyland's reviews *may* have spurred a plot bunny... maybe. Though I don't think it would be quite what either of you would expect. Gah. Now I need to start writing.

Antane · 9 August 2008 · Chapter 6: Discoveries

How nice to see the love between Aragorn and his Steward and that he was able to heal that woman too. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author's reply

Thank you very much Antane, I'm glad you liked it!

Larner · 9 August 2008 · Chapter 6: Discoveries

A more than fitting recompense for the hospitality given them; and I suspect good things shall find their way to that little house in Ithilien as the years go by. (Shoving more wi'l bunnies your way! Heh!)

Author's reply

Ah! I don't need more bunnies, I'm dealing with a good dozen as it is! ;) If I ever manage to find a place for them in any later stories, I'll put them there, but if they are content to stay unbothered in Ithilien, then unbothered they'll remain :)

These two don't seem to know when to leave well enough alone do they? Men! Even Kings and Stewards! Very nice tale, Lynda

Author's reply

Oh, men never know when to stop, which makes them all the more fun to write about. Thanks for the review!

inzilbeth · 9 August 2008 · Chapter 6: Discoveries

I enjoyed this tale very much, and the last chapter especially, though I do think Galdir let his king off lightly! Are we now going to see the later attempt to resolve this matter of who is the better huntsman?

Author's reply

Galdir was too relieved to really give him a good scolding. But he'll be his permanent shadow for the next year, to say the least! You are not the first to ask that, and because of other reviews, I *may* have a plot bunny... but it may not be the answer you are looking for. ;) Thanks for the review!

Estelcontar · 2 August 2008 · Chapter 5: Conversations

That's a most enjoyable chapter, Lairë. I liked the way both Faramir and Aragorn managed to hide their identity without really telling lies. And the children, are a joy.

Author's reply

Thank you for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Larner · 2 August 2008 · Chapter 5: Conversations

Love learning about this family.

Author's reply

I'm glad you do :) Thanks for the review once again.

Linda Hoyland · 2 August 2008 · Chapter 5: Conversations

I loved Aragorn and faramir trying to steer the conversation away from themselves and Faramir telling Aragorn how much he had helped him was a lovely touch. The children are delightful. I think I recall reading somewhere that Faramir was married the year after Aragorn, but am not sure where.

Author's reply

I was really curious as to where you got that info, and apparently it was published in one of the History of Middle-earth books, which I have yet to read through completely myself. I personally believe that producing for Arwen and Aragorn would be a bit more difficult than it would be normally, which is why I believe Faramir had a child before Aragorn. It's nice to know what year Eowyn and Faramir were married, though. Thanks for the tip!

Agape4Gondor · 1 August 2008 · Chapter 4: The House in the Woods

I very much liked Celon - though a wee bit chatty, capable.

Author's reply

Thank you for all of your reviews, they were very much appreciated :) Glad you like her.

Agape4Gondor · 1 August 2008 · Chapter 3: Unexpected Events

Nice chapter - I'm glad they survived, barely, the river. It's a shame the poor little girl found them, but I'm glad her father had the sense to send her away.... just in case they were dead.

Agape4Gondor · 1 August 2008 · Chapter 2: The Hunt

So many 'famous last words' in this chapter - it made my head reel! LOL - but good. Score one for the stag!

Agape4Gondor · 1 August 2008 · Chapter 1: Of Good Ideas

LOL - a very good beginning....

Estelcontar · 31 July 2008 · Chapter 4: The House in the Woods

A most enjoyable chapter, Läire. I'm glad to see they're okay and in good hands. Aragorn and Faramir's dialogue had me grinning, and I really enjoyed your Ioreth's like character. I was having similar thoughts with Aragorn before he ever mentioned them. Does that make me as wise-hearted as he is? I very much doubt it. Well done.

Author's reply

Thank you! I am glad you liked Celon, she was fun to write. Hmm... you are still wise in your own ways, I deem ^^

irene · 31 July 2008 · Chapter 4: The House in the Woods

The dialogue between Faramir and Aragorn at the beginning of the chapter was so funny I sometimes really laughed which occurs very seldom when I read a story... this part is precious. Thank you for a very good laugh!

Author's reply

Thank you! I enjoy making readers laugh- humour is more in my forte than angst, to be honest.

Linda Hoyland · 30 July 2008 · Chapter 4: The House in the Woods

A most enjoyable chapter. You cannot keep our heroes down for long.Poor Faramir always blaming himself! It must be hard for Aragorn to let anyone else tend wounds, but luckily they found a proper healer and a warm welcome. I hope you get the job.

Author's reply

I really can't keep them down... I let other authors do that :P I imagine both Aragorn and Faramir ones to take blame easily, Faramir especially when it came to his liege lord, his family, or his country. Thank you for the review.

Elflingimp · 30 July 2008 · Chapter 4: The House in the Woods

I am enjoying your story and you had dinner with Richard Taylor how completely neat is that!!!! I hope you get your job Good Luck! Hugs Deb the Imp

Author's reply

Thank you very much for the review, and the kind words :D

Larner · 30 July 2008 · Chapter 4: The House in the Woods

Oh, I agree about the idea of two Ioreths! Heh! And I am glad of their welcome, and the courtesy of their welcome. Lovely indeed.

Author's reply

Two Ioreths, in all honesty, would be absolutely hilarious for anyone watching from the sidelines. Thank you for your kind review, as usual, Larner.

meckinock · 27 July 2008 · Chapter 3: Unexpected Events

I love how Aragorn's first instinct (after confirming that Faramir was alive) was to do a full weapons inventory LOL. And now I can't wait to see how our lost King and his Steward handle the hospitality of their rescuers.

Author's reply

Thanks for the review, and I hope you enjoy this next section :)

Estelcontar · 25 July 2008 · Chapter 3: Unexpected Events

Thank the Valar, Faramir came to the rescue. Can't wait to see what Aragorn will say to Galdir.

Author's reply

I can't wait either ;) Thanks for the review.

Linda Hoyland · 25 July 2008 · Chapter 3: Unexpected Events

Thank Goodness Faramir was able to save Aragorn.I'm so thankful the woodsman found them .An exciting chapter.I look forward to what happens next.

Author's reply

Faramir saving Aragorn is a personal favorite of mine :) Thanks for the review.

Larner · 24 July 2008 · Chapter 3: Unexpected Events

The name might be familiar in Gondor, but who would connect this one with THAT Thorongil, forty-plus years gone? Glad they will be well cared for! Heh!

Author's reply

That is what I thought myself. Even if he did know of the legend, it could be easy enough that the Ranger was named after him ;)

inzilbeth · 24 July 2008 · Chapter 3: Unexpected Events

I'm already eagerly anticipating Aragorn's conversation with Galdir. I doubt he is ever going to get over the shock of this! Greatly looking forward to more.

Author's reply

Thanks for the review. Yes, Galdir is going to be an interesting encounter...
