At least they are all mistaken! It will be good to see hope return to each of them.

Larner · 12 March 2012 · Chapter 20: Returning Strength

Atleast they don't have long to wait at this point! And they will be heartened to know Boromir lives indeed!

Agape4Gondor · 12 March 2012 · Chapter 21: 'Look After Them'

Oh! What a beautiful chapter. Your portrayal of Durlin's loyalty and love for Boromir was perfect. And the hand to the mouth -- I wanted to weep with him. No comfort for the servant. No hand upon the shoulder to steady him. Well done.

Agape4Gondor · 2 March 2012 · Chapter 20: Returning Strength

A good chapter indeed. Chock full if information. Good to see Boromir's spirit lifted, if only for a short time. I can well imagine Aragorn's joy at seeing Legolas.

Tari · 28 February 2012 · Chapter 19: Conquering Despair

So glad to find a new chapter of this wonderful tale had been submitted. Linhir's wisdom is just what Boromir needed. Denethor and Faramir consoling each other is how I imagined things should have been. I am reading your other stories also. How do you find the time? They're all so good.

Larner · 25 February 2012 · Chapter 19: Conquering Despair

Linhir's advice is truly wise, and I do hope Boromir takes it to heart. And back at home his brother and father are finding themselves thrust upon one another, sharing this moment of shock, loss, and grief, and finding comfort in one another. Now--if they can only keep this closeness going! And what will be their response when they learn that the news of the death of Boromir is--premature?

Agape4Gondor · 24 February 2012 · Chapter 19: Conquering Despair

A really good chapter. Sad that the two drew the wrong assumption. I liked that Faramir kept the finding of the horn to himself, leaving any announcement to his father. A very nice touch. Alsp, I loved that Denethor had a reason for needing the Palantir even more. Loved Legolas!

Larner · 13 February 2012 · Chapter 18: He Will Not Return

At least these two stricken men can know comfort for the moment in the company of one another. And when the word comes at last that he is yet living, how much greater will be their joy!

Larner · 13 February 2012 · Chapter 17: Dreams of Battle and Loss

At least he appreciates the the effects the coming of the cloven horn will have on those he so loves. Alas that he is too correct!

ladyevenstar · 12 February 2012 · Chapter 18: He Will Not Return

so good. really excited for more. the story is so intense

Larner · 12 February 2012 · Chapter 16: Nothing Left But Memories

Certainly he has reason to weep. Now, if he only knew what is known by those who climbed the Stair....

Larner · 12 February 2012 · Chapter 15: Parting Words

A good reunion with Boromir's own men, and a touching leavetaking as Legolas heads off to rejoin Gimli and Aragorn. Alas that contrary news will reach the White City! And they are wise to be quiet about Aragorn, I think.

Agape4Gondor · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 18: He Will Not Return

Oh dear. Oh dear. I can hardly say more, my heart is so heavy. Death's fingers reach out like great spider webs that vibrate at a touch. Poor Pippin, Denethor and Faramir! I loved Treebeard's remembrance of Boromir and his regard for the love between brothers. Beautifully written.

Agape4Gondor · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 17: Dreams of Battle and Loss

*giggle giggle snort snort* As swiftly as his scribe can write. I, along with Denethor and Faramir, await Boromir's return!

Agape4Gondor · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 16: Nothing Left But Memories

So well written. So difficult to read.

Agape4Gondor · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 15: Parting Words

I like the comaraderie at the beginning and the end of this chapter.

Agape4Gondor · 10 February 2012 · Chapter 14: Done With Waiting

As dear Sam said, it only takes a minute for the Ring to pounce. He is a true gem.

rick · 1 February 2012 · Chapter 17: Dreams of Battle and Loss

Oh good - I'm so glad you are continuing! This is the first Boromir-lives story I've read & I was doubtful coming in, but you are doing it so well I can hardly wait for the end - happy ending, right? Your characterizations feel right to me. Thanks for writing.

Larner · 21 October 2011 · Chapter 14: Done With Waiting

At least Frodo's hope that Boromir returned to self-control and sanity is true, even if he doesn't know how close the Man came to dying in defense of Merry and Pippin. Now, to see what comes in the future when the Hobbits meet Men in Ithilien.

Agape4Gondor · 18 September 2011 · Chapter 13: Well Met

WOW! The joy and the pain, caught so beautifully. This chapter just rings of courage and deep loyalty and joy. Joy, joy, joy. I think the most telling part for me was Boromir's love for his men. Soldiers grow together quickly. Hang on to friendships dearly. Rely upon each other tightly. You catch it all. What a great job you did. Very good writing!

Larner · 14 September 2011 · Chapter 13: Well Met

Ah! A blessed and long-awaited reunion, and a promise of the return home to come!

Lynn H · 13 September 2011 · Chapter 13: Well Met

Larner · 2 September 2011 · Chapter 12: A Meeting on the Stair

Aha! A glad and welcome meeting indeed! Now, to bring them together and to see Legolas head off after the other two Hungers in search of two small Hobbits--and to find a new White! Heh!

Larner · 2 September 2011 · Chapter 11: Sleepless Nights

I look forward to all being pleasantly surprised! Heh!
