Two Poems by goldvermilion87

Torn in Two

This is the more embarrassing of the two poems!  :-)

Torn in Two

Where is the separation of hate and love?

Where does the one end and the other begin?

The love of him would make me a mortal enemy.

The sight of him dead on the stone

Would bid me kill another in vengeance.

But what good would it do?

‘Twould not please him, I think.

What did he say to that thing?

“I do pity him!” That was odd.

What would he say if he knew!

And yet, I think he would not have me kill the creature.

I hate the memory of Gollum.

Yet Mr. Frodo’s memory bids me love.
