I liked this alot.

Raksha The Demon · 26 June 2009 · Chapter 15: Beyond Compare

,i>Awwwwwwww. A nice round of comparisons for that greatest sight of all, which of course would be true for Aragorn, who must have so longed, over the years, to be a father.

Author's reply

Raksha The Demon · 26 June 2009 · Chapter 14: Bitter Sweet

Raksha The Demon · 26 June 2009 · Chapter 13: Cruel Torment

I can just see poor Elessar manfully concealing his dismay at the cloak of peacock feathers and yet another gem-encrusted vase! Being King does have a down side! Nicely done.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Aragorn should have seen some of the Christmas gifts I get, woolly bedsocks, hideous jewellry, and spiced biscuits for example!Vases and peacock feathers would not seem too bad by comparison.

Inzilbeth · 26 June 2009 · Chapter 15: Beyond Compare

I'm sure this would have been exactly how he felt. Very well done.

Estelcontar · 25 June 2009 · Chapter 15: Beyond Compare

A lovely and enchanting drabble which describes most movingly how elated Aragorn must have felt when Eldarion was born, after waiting so long for such a moment.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you liked my drabble.

Larner · 25 June 2009 · Chapter 15: Beyond Compare

Larner · 25 June 2009 · Chapter 14: Bitter Sweet

Faramir has learned--the HARD way! Heh!

Author's reply

He has indeed.I doubt he'll make the same mistake again!

Larner · 25 June 2009 · Chapter 13: Cruel Torment

Poor Aragorn--but then Faramir IS right! Heh!

Author's reply

I think the older you get the less you like birthdays, especially as they seem to arrive faster every year! At least we don't have to endure what Aragorn does!

shirebound · 25 June 2009 · Chapter 15: Beyond Compare

I absolutely love this. :)

Author's reply

Raksha The Demon · 20 June 2009 · Chapter 11: Crown of Thorns

A bittersweet tribute to the pain involved in loving anyone; not to mention the price that Arwen paid for hers. Nicely done!

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed my drabble and reflections on the price one must pay for love.

Raksha The Demon · 20 June 2009 · Chapter 12: A Feast of Lemons

Wonderful response to the "Embarrassment" prompt; and a lively drabble. That will teach certain courtiers to embarrass a guest in front of the king!

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed my drabble.I hope the courtiers will have better manners in future!

Larner · 19 June 2009 · Chapter 12: A Feast of Lemons

And I love our wise King with his empathy and his sense of fairness, seeking to make the envoy feel more at ease in these strange environs.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I love Aragorn too for his goodness which made me feel he would act like this.

Larner · 19 June 2009 · Chapter 11: Crown of Thorns

Unfortunately, there are always griefs and pains associated with beauty and love--but in the end they are always worth it!

Author's reply

That is so true. Grief is the price we often pay for love, but who would choose to live without it? Many thanks for your much appreciated review.

Estelcontar · 19 June 2009 · Chapter 12: A Feast of Lemons

How like Aragorn to teach a lesson by setting the example. I enjoyed this very much.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed this and felt it be in character for Aragorn.

Estelcontar · 19 June 2009 · Chapter 11: Crown of Thorns

That is a most touching drabble Linda. It is true that beautiful things can hurt us. And trust Aragorn to brave the rose torns to give Arwen pleasure.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed my drabble.

Larner · 9 June 2009 · Chapter 10: Sweeter than Wine

Yes! It is time and time for that special vintage! Heh!

Estelcontar · 8 June 2009 · Chapter 10: Sweeter than Wine

Aragorn is simply irresistible in his poetical mood. It's no wonder Arwen loved him How could she not? Lovely drabble, Linda.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm so pleased you enjoyed the drabble. Arwen is a lucky lady!

Estelcontar · 8 June 2009 · Chapter 9: Finest Vintage

I do love a lyrical Aragorn. I've always thought he had a poetical side. After all, Bilbo asked his help to write his Ëarendil poem.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm so pleased you enjoyed the drabble. I agree Aragorn must have been something of a poet.

Estelcontar · 8 June 2009 · Chapter 8: Fit For a King?

That's our Aragorn, indeed. I'm sure he would have been even happier if the inkeeper had Barliman's Best. LOL

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm sure Aragorn would have liked some of Barliman's brew best!

Estelcontar · 8 June 2009 · Chapter 7: Empty Places

A very poignant and, to my mind, truthfull portrait of Aragorn. I do believe that at his coronation mingled with his joy, and tempering it would be the sorrow for those who gave their all to ensure that he would be king.

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm so pleased you find my drabble poignant. I@m sure many had joy mingled with sorrow that day.

Estelcontar · 8 June 2009 · Chapter 6: No Common Soldier

Great drabble. It's good to see Thorongil give better than he got, and still be his usual polite and unruffled self

Author's reply

Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm so pleased you enjoyed the drabble. I can imagine Aragorn as the master in verbal fencing as well as the more deadly sort!
