Larner · 8 May 2012 · Chapter 15: White Lily Tincture
Ooh! It's scary that the Ring can apparently use the muzzy-headedness to influence Frodo right now! Poor guys--both so ill!
Author's reply
It's not the Ring causing the Muzzyness but all will be revealed probably mid June. I'm in Ireland now so I'll be writing but probably won't have time to update it until then.
Elentarri · 8 May 2012 · Chapter 15: White Lily Tincture
Thank you for the update. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Agape4Gondor · 7 May 2012 · Chapter 15: White Lily Tincture
Oh my goodness gracious me! Just when I thought all would be well now they were in the safety of TLHH -- Could it be the tincture--- oh the poor Imladrian elves.. I can't watch.
Author's reply
*giggles* Oh I do love a cliffhanger, what can I say? I should have another chapter sometime around mid june. I'm in Ireland on vacation and touring. I'll try to write but time is crunched, as you probably understand. Hang in there.
Elentarri · 7 May 2012 · Chapter 14: Rivendell Cures
Bug bug bug... are you still there? :) You can't leave stories hanging like this you know... I think I may die from anticipation. ;)
Agape4Gondor · 16 April 2012 · Chapter 14: Rivendell Cures
Fascinating story. I've been hooked.
Andrea · 16 April 2012 · Chapter 14: Rivendell Cures
Oh dear! Their situation is still bad, especially Aragorn's. Even Gandalf is worried. Maybe we should see the chapter title is an encouragement: Rivendell cures (verb)! And I hope we'll find out more about that mysterious healer.
Author's reply
I always have a happy ending after I torture them to death. :D And I love creating new and interesting characters...more to come. Thanks for taking the time to review, it's appreciated!
Larner · 15 April 2012 · Chapter 14: Rivendell Cures
Now, this sounds rather ominous. Hallucination wouldn't be something I'd want to experience, either. Glad they finally made it and are getting the best of care. And the others do need to rest and eat and soothe themselves if they wish to be of aid to Frodo and Aragorn.
Author's reply
Thanks for reviewing sweetie, glad you're liking it.
Andrea · 6 March 2012 · Chapter 13: The Situation Worsens
Oh my! Both of them got pneumonia? That's very bad, but as Larner pointed out, very probable in such a situation. So, I hope they will reach Rivendell soon. In the meantime Elrond and his "crew" will do the best to take care of them - if they are allowed.
Larner · 5 March 2012 · Chapter 13: The Situation Worsens
Pneumonia would be all to likely for both of them at this point, and certainly they all need to be home, in soft, warm beds, getting plenty of TLC at this point. I hope they indeed make it by midday--or, better yet, earlier!
Andrea · 14 February 2012 · Chapter 12: Departures
“No, my friend, you will ride with Elrond. Do as I say, please. I am the leader of this rag tag bunch, am I not?” Frodo smiled, “It is good to have you back Aragorn,” he replied. His head is clear again, it seems. I'm as glad about that fact as Frodo is :-)
Larner · 13 February 2012 · Chapter 12: Departures
Well, he has the last word at least for the moment, it seems, although that will surely change once Frodo is in better health and spirits. Now, to see Aragorn properly treated and Frodo resting comfortably.
Andrea · 23 January 2012 · Chapter 11: The Care and Feeding of Rangers
Poor Elrond! There he creates a medical tea which really tastes well, and who gets the credit for it? Frodo ;-) So, I hope Aragorn will have a clear head again soon and that *some* parts of his memory about recent "activities" will remain buried forever.
Larner · 22 January 2012 · Chapter 11: The Care and Feeding of Rangers
This does appear to be the logical order for them while sleeping together for warmth and comfort, after all. A beautiful chapter of warmth and healing all the way around. Now, to see the two ailing ones safely back into the Last Homely House and more comfort. Poor Aragorn--no wonder it would take so long for the Fellowship to depart in this situation.
obsidianj · 21 January 2012 · Chapter 11: The Care and Feeding of Rangers
Love the running joke about Elrond's potion having a horrible taste. Finally, he listens to the complaints and does something about it *g*. Poor Aragorn, I think he will be horrified when he gets better and realizes how much of an audience he had in his sickness.
Andrea · 8 January 2012 · Chapter 10: Help Arrives
Great! Help has finally arrived! And now that Aragorn has been seen to it is Frodo's turn. “You are many admirable things, Master Baggins, but *fine* is not one of them,” Elrond responded. Indeed, Master Elrond ;-) So I hope, both of them will be fine again and there will be time to talk about the words Aragorn said - and his last action towards Frodo.
Author's reply
Thanks for reviewing! It may be awhile before Frodo can drag that little bit of info out of Aragorn...stay tuned.
Larner · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 10: Help Arrives
Trust the instincts and early education of this Hobbit in especial, and the ability of the four to learn as they watch. Now, to see the care go from the Man to Frodo, and to see both restored to health.
Author's reply
It's hard for poor Elrond to keep up with all these invalids! Hope you continue to read and enjoy.
obsidianj · 6 January 2012 · Chapter 10: Help Arrives
Finally, help arrives. It was cute for Merry to watch over Pippin. I had to laugh that Elrond was hurt by the suggestion that his healing draughts could use "improvements".
Author's reply
Glad I gave you a chuckle thanks so much for reading and reviewing.
Andrea · 6 December 2011 · Chapter 9: Revelations
Oh my! Those were really perilous situations - and both of them because of rabbits! On the other hand we are talking about hobbits ;-) But did Aragorn really mean what he said? Or was it just the fever? And where are Gandalf and Elrond?
Author's reply
There was a situation after Frodo was stabbed (at least in my fic) that if Frodo finally was taken by the shard he would become a wraith. Tolkien even said this. He could not be allowed to succumb with the Ring in his possession or he would have no choice but to take it to Sauron. This would have been a last ditch, unwanted action by Aragorn or whoever Frodo was with at the time, that in order to prevent Frodo from taking the Ring to Sauron he would have to be killed in this life. Gandalf and Elrond are coming in the next chapter. So glad you are enjoying the fic. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
Larner · 5 December 2011 · Chapter 9: Revelations
Both parties have known terror at this point. At least they are each now relatively safe. But the knowledge of what Aragorn had planned to do had he not been able to get Frodo to safety would indeed be a shock. Poor Frodo and Sam!
Author's reply
thank God it wasn't necessary! Calvary is coming!
obsidianj · 1 December 2011 · Chapter 9: Revelations
Oh, Frodo. That was not one of your smarter moves. I can understand that he needed fresh air, but why did he have to go that far? Poor Aragorn is delirious. It is time help arrives...
Author's reply
The cavalry is coming! Thanks for reading and reviewing.
obsidianj · 26 November 2011 · Chapter 8: Hunters and Healers
Why do I have a bad feeling about Frodo leaving the cave? But you can't leave poor Sam dealing with two sick people. I hope Pippin and Merry don't have a nasty surprise waiting for them. I don't like the ominous eyes watching them. At least help is on the way.
Author's reply
:D Now would I do that to you? I hope to have more up soon, Thanksgiving was extremely hectic and I couldn't do any writing. Thanks for your review!
Larner · 15 November 2011 · Chapter 8: Hunters and Healers
They are making progress, each on his own front. And LOVE Frodo's reaction to Aragorn's delerium. The King is indeed worthy of such care, and they are certainly worthy of such a King! Now, HURRY, Elrond!
Author's reply
I had such fun writing that! I am glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully I'll have an update this coming week.
Andrea · 13 November 2011 · Chapter 8: Hunters and Healers
Very good! Elrond and Gandalf are already on their way with a large healing bag. And Frodo made a perfect performance to make Aragorn take his medical tea. I can understand Sam, though, going out in the rain in the dusk could be dangerous, especially for Frodo. But ... who is *she*? A wolf? I really hope nothing bad happens to Merry and Pippin!
Author's reply
:D Had so much fun writing the Frodo Aragorn scenes...As to the 'she' in the fic, You'll just have to wait and see....just a tiny little bit of angst, but everyone will be fine. Love my angst...just can't help myself. Thanks for reviewing!
Larner · 9 November 2011 · Chapter 7: Farewells
Oh, Sam knows to care for his Master without direction from mere Rangers. Heh! And the rescue will come swiftly enough now.
Author's reply
Working on that rescue as we speak. thanks for reviewing.
