I so admire Aragorn's bargaining skills, and am glad he didn't just reject what he'd drunk! Love the order of bodies keeping Aragorn warm and protected, too! Sorry about the pot, but things DO happen in life, after all!
Author's reply
I love pitting the two stubborn and determined personalities against each other in a playful way. I actually smile as I am writing it. thanks again for your review, I'm glad you're enjoying it.

It does sound to be a delightful and much needed soak for Frodo. And his plans are sound. Now--to see if Aragorn will swallow some sustenance and medicine--and if he can keep it down!
Author's reply
Time for Frodo to match wits with Aragorn...this will be interesting or at least, entertaining.

· Chapter 7: Farewells
Very clever of Merry to let Aragorn breathe on the Athelas leaves!
The four hobbits together are an effective healer team. Nevertheless a healer from Rivendell is best for Aragorn.
Let's hope they will find one soon!
Author's reply
My fics move rather slow because I do alot of detail, but there will be help coming soon!

I like this. This is so much like Budgie stories. But Asfaloth with pink ribbon! oh my :)
Author's reply
Budge is one of my all time FAVORITE authors. I am honored

Great story so far!
So, let us hope that Merry and Pippin will find help very soon and that Aragorn will survive that ugly greenish broth - Witches Brew indeed ;-)
Author's reply
I can only imagine what it tastes like...ick. Glad you're enjoying the fic!

· Chapter 5: Witches Brew
“Remember Merry that we are still within the protected borders of Rivendell. I feel perfectly safe here." -- I hope we're not in for a What could possibly go wrong? moment....
"Half of each" sounds at best, nasty-tasting -- and at worst, ominous. I hope they're not poisoning him! Will they be able to get it down his throat while he's still under the influence of the poppy and unable to taste it?
At least Frodo's shoulder should be getting better. And Aragorn's resting.
Author's reply
I thought it sounded like what a lot of people would self medicate...but Aragorn will be all right, after the gulp is over, that is. You'll see in the next chapter. Thanks so much for reading AND reviewing...Tree

· Chapter 4: Even the Smallest Person Can Make A Difference
Nothing like a stubborn Baggins to see things done properly. And his own pain and weakness are hitting him now that Aragorn's safe. Glad they are now both sleeping.
Author's reply
Stubborn seems the very definition of both of our heros.

Good to see them working so well together. And glad they recognize that Frodo is in pain, too. Decided to continue reading and commenting here on this site. Hope you don't mind!
Author's reply
Why ever would I mind, silly? I am so glad you're continuing to read, and I love getting your reviews.

Oh dear, poor Aragorn! However it is almost a shame that he is unconscious and unaware of snuggly hobbit. *grin*
Author's reply
Ohhh...no fears, he will be mollycoddled to death and be in the same situation Frodo was at the beginning of this story.

· Chapter 3: A Team Effort
Oh, dear! The hobbits are, of course, coping marvelously ... but I can't help but think we need some experienced elven healers. Soon. Lots of them. Including Elrond.
But in the meantime, yes, they need to get Aragorn into the nice dry cave. And let poor Frodo rest.
Then someone's going to have to go for help, probably Merry and Pippin. Frodo's in no condition to trek anywhere, and Sam will doubtless insist on staying with him.
I could speculate more, but I don't want to give you any nasty ideas -- you obviously have enough of them already (channeling Budgie).
Author's reply
The idea that I am channeling Budgie is the highest of compliments. Your notes on what needs to be done are already what I've planned (have you been peeking?) I am delighted you are enjoying the fic.

Oh, you really know what gets to me! I LOVE seeing hobbits take care of Big Folk, and I love seeing Frodo being a caregiver! It's so seldom we get the chance to see him being competent and in charge.
Poor Aragorn, though! He's going to be feeling dreadful when he wakes!
Author's reply
Such a pleasure to hear such a nice review from you, darling. I do so love injured Aragorn, angst, injured Frodo and it's high time we had Aragorn being tended isn't it? so glad you're enjoying it.

Oh, dear--and it was Aragorn who saw to it he was tossed to safety, and thus Aragorn who's been hit by the fallen branch, right? And Frodo perhaps has a cracked or broken rib?

Yep. Evil Cliffie, right on schedule. (Fiendishly clever of you to lull us with the cliffie-less first chapter.)
I like the caves. Lots of possibilities there.
Author's reply
Gotta have a Cliffie right? So happy you are continuing to enjoy the fic.

Hobbits! Frodo-angst! Scenic Rivendell! Aragorn!
I don't know if I should wish for Evil Cliffies or not....
Definitely looking forward to this; I miss the Budgie days.
Author's reply
I crave the Budgie days and she is one of my favorite authors. I am an angst lover and h/c and usually have a few cliffies out there to keep everyone happy. I am delighted you are enjoying the fic and promise to have more soon.
