Thank you for answer. I am so excited about your new story. May I ask about the idea for it? I love Thranduil and I am grateful for your stories.I started to get notifications from SOA at last.
Author's reply
Hi, my new story play at Imladris and around the elves of Elrond, Glorfindel, Celebrian and the twins and Arwen. They visit Tharbad where a tragedy befalls Arwen. The unfolding chaos filles my chapters - LOL! Even if the Imladris elves are my favourites I love Thranduil and Legolas as much. Stories around mystereious Mirkwoos are Always exciting too. Hope to see you at my new story. Lai

I really love this story. Thank you. Is there any order of your stories if i amy ask?
Author's reply
Hi, sorry for not answering earlier, but SOA had some problems with the coming through of emails and so I got your one just yesterday. Anyway I´m so glad you like my story - it´s my favourite too! No, there is no real order to my stories. Just an idea and out with it - LOL! Next one is coming soon; this time again around my favourite elves from Imladris. Love and thanks Lai

Laikwalasse,
This was such an awesome story. I enjoyed every minute of it and was on the edge of my seat at some points. I also love elves and if I did write stories I would write with mostly all elves. Elrond is one of my favorite elves, but Legolas would be my top favorite elf. You write very well. Thank you for writing this story so I could read it.
Ashley W.
Author's reply
Thank you so much, Ashley. This was one of my favourite stories. All about the wood elves, even if my favourite elves are that of Imladris but I like Legolas and Co just as much. I´m so glad I could hold the tension high and that the emotions worked. Thank you that you find my writing style good, because english is not my first language. I will always write only about elves and hope to see you at any of my other stories or the new one that will follow soon. Thank you for a most appreciated review. Lai

Hi Laikwalasse, what a heart warming finish to the story.Lets hope that all find some healling.I have enjoyed reading Revolution very much. Am wondering though, are we going to eavesdrop on a certin Valar, "having a talk" with a certin elf. Don't want to mention names of course. LOL Galathil
Author's reply
thank you, Galthil. I´m so glad you enjoyed the story and dropped a review here and there. They mean a lot to me. What an interesting request for a sequel. I´m still fulfilling another sequel-request but after that...we will see. Again thank you for reviewing. Lai

First, I'm glad Luindil was exonerated, even though it was at the cost of his life.
Though life now goes on, it will never again be the idyllic oasis for Thranduil. From now on, he will have to watch his back even when in his own castle.
I'm glad all his children survived (phew) and are healing.
This was a sad, but riveting tale. I enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to your next foray into Middle-earth.
Author's reply
you are right: that´s the bitter after taste of this episode. Thranduil will have to be even more observant. I´m so very glad that you enjoyed my story. It means a lot to me and I would be glad to invite you to my next stories. Thank you for your most appreciated reviews,Agape. Lai

Finally! But I fear recovery for all of them will be slow, yet now they have the chance of doing so and maybe Thranduil will have learned a valuable lesson in all this.
Author's reply
yes, it will be a long and hard time and I´m sure Thranduil has learned his lesson. It tould be very interesting what Lord Námo has to say. I can not imagine how the Valar will judge such an elf. Thank you for reading, reviewing and following the story. Only one chapter to go. Lai

· Chapter 31: the fight
So even the forest wished for the mad elf to be stopped. Wow! This was a very real fight scene. I felt like a bird in that tree, right there watching it all. I believe you show, simply and clearly, the difference between a good "man", (of any race) and a bad one. Even knowing that this must be their final confrontation, Thranduil still fought to defend, to protect. It was only after his only so-far uninjured son was attacked that he began to strike to kill. My favorite Thranduil tales are the ones pictureing him as the defender of the forest and all that live in it. This chapter nicely joins that company. I also have enjoyed your portrayal of Celeborn throughout this story. He has always struck me as calm, steady, strong. I doubt the young guard resented his taking charge and giving the directions needed to get them all helped and home; the directions that Thranduil was in no shape to be giving just then.
Author's reply
thank you for your lovely words, demeter. It struck me as a nice idea, that even the forest wanted to be rid of this mad elf. I´m so glad I let you feel like a watcher in the tree. I was there also! Showing the difference of good and evil was my intention and it obviously worked. It was very important for me to show that Thranduil was ever ready to spare Thoran´s life and that he did not intent to kill. He had so many reasons to kill this elf, but he detests death, yet even he has his limits and Thoran has done all to deserve death. I´m so very glad that "my" Thranduil does fit your imagination. He´s a defender and not an attacker, yes! I picture Celeborn as I have described him: calm and strong. He´s a ruler of his own and demanding if necessary. Yet he stood steadfast on his cousin´s side when Thranduil had no longer the power to give orders. Anyway, thank you so much for your most encouraging and lovely review. I really appreciate it. Lai

· Chapter 31: the fight
Personally, I would not want to be Thoran when he enters the Halls of Mandos. Gives me chills just thinking about it. This was no kin-slayer in the midst of passion or military fervor. This was a creature more like unto Saruman's Orcs. *shivers* Perhaps that's where the White Wizard got the idea.
The entire kingdom will take yen, I think, to get over this traitor's reign of terror. I suppose in that way, he was king for a time. But what a hideous king. Demented. Twisted.
Very nicely written chapter.
Author's reply
I would not want to treat place with Thoran either even if I can find no pity for him. He was already beyond help and reasoning. Yes, Thranduil will need a lot of time to get over this and with him so many other having lost a loved one. My lat chapter will deal with this. I´m so glad you liked this chapter and thank you for reviewing, which is highly appreciated. Lai

I am glad that Thorin is dead, with his insanity and bitterness he was beyond help.Lets hope in death he can find some peace at last.As for the king his family and people, especially the parents who lost their children,I really hope that they can begin to find some healing. It was very hard for Celeborn to watch the fight and not get involed,he just seemed to know what to do.No wonder they call him Celeborn the wise.I would love to be a fly on the wall, when Thorin and Namo have their talk. All I can say glad its not me.Can't wait for the next chapter.LOL Galathil
Author's reply
you are right, Thoran was beyond help. Now all can start to find some healing, including Thranduil. Yes, Celeborn is not called wise for nothing. He knew that it was Thranduil´s fight and stayed back, yet I´m sure he would have taken action if something had gone wrong. Only one chapter to go with the aftermath of this dreadful episode not only for Thranduil but for so many others more or less involved. Thank you so much for your lovely review, Galathil. I really apreciate it. Lai

· Chapter 30: pay-off
This was a very sad chapter to read. The depths of Thoran's insanity were intense. That he would throw the Elfling to the ground, knowing he would be hurt, and perhaps even killed, is unbelievable. And unforgivable. I'm sure he thought the horse would go faster without the added burden, that he could fight better without an Elfling to consider... but nothing justifies this.
It had to be one of Thranduil's hardest decisions, to leave his youngest in the hand's of his brother. I kind of wish he'd stayed with Legolas and left Thoran to his guards. I'm sure he continued because he wasn't sure where his guards were. So much for taking off and leaving them behind. Glad Galadhion was with him.
My heart broke at Bregolas' death. He entered the Halls of Mandos as a true warrior and faithful guard. *sobs*
I could feel Saeron's relief at the sight of Elrond's sons. Glorfindel's presence helped, too. But to see Celeborn go off after Thranduil. That was important. If anything happened to the Elven king... I do not think power was only in Galadriel's hands. Her husband was an awesome character.
Great chapter. Can't wait for more!
Author's reply
Thoran is beyond any reasoning now and can await no understanding anymore. Of course Thranduil has struggled with his decision to stay with his youngest or go after the mad elf but he wanted to make sure that no one has to suffer again from Thoran´s madness, which was not true for poor Bregolas. Galadriel is powerful but Celeborn is also a power to reckon with. Of course he is gong after his cousin. Thranduil is a formidable warrior but with this mad elf you will never know and Celeborn is taking no chances. Thank you so much for the lovely review and your enouraging words, Agape. The next chapter is already written and with my beta. Again thank you. Lai

Well, at least Legolas is safe if injured. That's a relief. But really, Thranduil needs to stop dithering and just get rid of that mad elf. Thoran is long overdue for a little chat with Lord Námo. *grin*

Wow! This was tense. First that Thoran escapes and then that he abducts Legolas. Glad the nurse wasn't too badly hurt - except for her poor heart at the loss of Legolas.
Thranduil should take that Thoran by the neck and throttle him. I hope he doesn't get too far from his escort else he become fodder for Thoran.
Yikes! Another good cliffee.

A very difficult and emotional trial for everyone. I doubt if everyone is pleased by the outcome (or lack of one). I fear for Thranduil. I don't think this is completely over. Thoran is too evil to be allowed loose, IMO.

Ah, that was so sweet at the end, Lai. I wonder whose idea it was to have Legolas bring Thranduil his crown? A stroke of genius, that. Thranduil is one lucky king. But he still has a lot of work ahead of him. They all do and it will not be easy. Looking forward to seeing how things go from here.

thank you so much, Fiondil. Yes the ending was sweet. Thranduil can call himself lucky for a few genious advisors, I think. But he should not underestimate Thoran. Many thanks for a much appreciated review. Lai

· Chapter 26: picking up the pieces
Thranduil gazed deeply into his son’s eyes and calmed his son’s agitated thoughts to a level so that soon the elfling was snuggling close against him content to be held in his arms.
A beautiful scene in the midst of a heart-breaking reunion.
(Though I do wish I had this particular gift to use on an unsuspecting granddaughter of mine. *g*)
I love the term 'raging disarray' - I must remember it for the times the same condition occurs in my life. Which is often!
And what a beautiful ending to the chapter. I was near to tears myself.
Bravo! Well done!
Author's reply
Thank you so much, Agape. Yes, this was a lovely scene and fitting for an elf like Thranduil. And believe me I wish for this gift also with my two girls, but it never works...LOL! They always produced "raging disarray" and so the term slipped into my story. You were near tears? Then I have done something right! Again thanks for your lovely review. Lai
I was concerned about Saeron until I read about the three boys. My heart clenched and tears threatened.
I can well imagine Thranduil's need to take back his kingdom, restore order, and begin not only his healing, but the healing of his people.
Author's reply
yes, it´s so sad with the boys and Thoran has a lot to answer for. Yet Thranduil has also a lot to do to pick up all the pieces. Thank you so much for reviewing. Lai
And so the children have been rescued, but not all and that is a grave tragedy and Saeron is also injured. Thoran had much to answer for indeed. Now to see if Saeron recovers and what Thranduil will do about the mess Thoran has put them all in.
Author's reply
Thranduil will have a lot of work to do to rearrange all and I want not to trade places with Thoran when Thranduil is getting him. Th tragedy with the boys will surely not help matters. Thank you so much for reviewing, Fiondil. Lai
