Triplets!?! But Isn't that a first among the eldar? I wonder why Della and Amroth did not sense the other child? Of course, the fallout from Legolas' adventure continued. I had a hunch that the Maiar were there to assure them that there would be no interference from the world outside of Wiseman (at least not from the media). And I can understand why those who were hoping to join the rangers may have felt a little betrayed by Liam's choice of the police instead. But the twins are right: having one of their own on the police force can only be a good thing. I'd been wondering when the local politics would rear its head again, and the timing makes me wonder if adding an Elf to the police force might not become a political issue. I can see Peterson's supporters trying to make something banister out of it, and perhaps trying to find a way to ban Elves from such positions. And I love the idea of the Elves coming to own a major retail store, though once more, it could be more political fuel for the campaign. But I can easily imagine Erestor as a business owner. Fun chapter!

Author's reply

Yeah, that would be a first for the Eldar, Dreamflower. As to why they didn't detect the little tyke, that will be explained in the next chapter and we'll see what reaction the others have to the news. I think the news of Legolas being on the police force even as a volunteer will probably be kept low-keyed, and as for the clothing store, we'll have to see if the Elves are successful in purchasing it. You're right that either one could become a political issue, but we will have to see. Thanks for reviewing, Dreamflower. I appreciate it.

Taking bets right now on who is going to faint in the next chapter. *grin* Triplets! Heavens! What incredible news! Did Amroth hit the floor? I have to know. Better review later, I just had to comment on this part first! -Kevana

Author's reply

I imagine that Amroth did indeed faint at the news, though we don't see it. As for the reactions of others, we'll see them in the next chapter. Looking forward to a more comprehensive review from you Kevana whenever you gt the chance. Thanks.

So, a pair and a spare, that should make life interesting, for every one! Running a business in Wiseman might not be such a bad idea, just don't go opening at 6-00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day! Volunteering to help with the election is a good idea, they live in Wiseman and are interested in how it is run. Enjoy yourself at your Enchanted Pumpkin display this year! Huggs, Lynda

Author's reply

Hi Lynda. I doubt the Elves will do anything so daft. They have better sense than that. And we'll see if the Elves do indeed end up volunteering with the election. You remembered about the Enchanted Pumpkin event! I'm still waiting to hear if I'll be working it or not, though I do plan to help carve some pumpkins next weekend for it. Thanks for reviewing. It's appreciated. Hugs back.

Sunny · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 83: New News

You know, I'm sure Nimrodel will be looking back with longing to the time when it was just Amroth who was hovering. Now that it is known that she's expecting triplets, all the Elves in Wiseman (and a number of Mortals as well) will be fluttering around, wanting her to rest and monitoring what she eats and drinks. Her consolation will be that they will probably be fluttering around Amroth as well, giving him the same treatment! ;-)

Author's reply

I suspect you're right there, Sunny. The joys of impending parenthood. LOL!

someone · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 83: New News

The elves really should start new businesses, as that would bring more work to the area. Otherwise they must apply for the same jobs as mortals and that won't help with the unemployment figures. (And could make either the mortals or elves bitter, as the employers might favor either of them.) I'm glad that the videos didn't go to Internet, it makes life much easier for the elves. Triplets! I'm wordless. It seems that Someone decided to start the new generation of elves on Earth with... well, lots of babies. Roy and Sarah (and Nell and Gareth) should be afraid, if they want to habe children, too.

Author's reply

Hi someone. Yes, starting up new businesses would be a help both to the local economy and to the Elves themselves. Well the clothing store isn't a new business but it's a start. Someday the knowledge that there are Elves in the world will become common knowledge but not yet. It's much too soon for that. It would seem that Someone is getting involved in upping production in the baby factory among the Elves of Middle-earth. LOL! We'll have to see how it goes. Thanks for commenting. It's much appreciated.

Sunny · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 83: New News

Heh. Seeing those two Maiar sitting there all ready for the show clearly had the desired effect - everybody went from wanting to thump Legolas to wanting to thump the two Maiar, which was what I suspect they intended. Apart from that particular pose tickling their sense of himor, that is. It's gret to see Vorondur's sharp mind and clear observation in action. So Aldarion, Gilvagor, Thandir and Haldir had expected Legolas to join them in becoming a ranger, had they? I guess he might have done so if he had not been able to join the police, but Legolas has done the unexpected before, so it would not have been unreasonable to think he might do something unexpected again. And as a prince I guess Legolas would have been used to keeping his own council. Nice to see that people have started thinking again, and now that they do, they may also lend a hand in helping with Legolas' training. There are certainly a lot of things for him to learn in addition to police procedures, like driving a car, first aid stuff and midwifery, all useful things to know for a cop. (Don't believe me on the last? Just this weekend one little tyke decided to greet the world in the back seat of a police cruiser here in Norway. He or she was in a bit of a hurry, it seems...) And speaking of babies, Amroth and Nimrodel are having TRIPLETS???!? Now, that is definitely going to set both Aman and Wiseman on its ear. I'm certain it will be dead easy to find a Maia with a sufficiently low sense of humour (the two layabouts from the beginning of the chapter easily spring to mind) to take a copy of the ultrasound to Aman in return for a promise to tell them the gossip and reactions in Aman!

Author's reply

Hi Sunny. Yes, I'm sure they deliberately set out to divert everyone's ire and it worked. Very little gets past Vorondur, but I do find it interesting that even Glorfindel picked up on their anger in spite of him being angry himself. And you're right that Legolas, being a prince, would be more inclined to keep his own council. I'm sure people will do what they can to help Legolas succeed as a police officer. And yes, I am quite aware of the number of times the police have been called upon to deliver babies who decide to make an unexpected appearance. That is certainly a skill he will need to learn as a matter of course. We'll learn what the reaction to the news of triplets is in Aman eventually. The response will have an impact on matters in Elf Academy 4. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Rhyselle · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 83: New News

I giggled out loud when Vorondur checked out what Olorin and Fionwe were drinking. The Maiar being in the conference room with popcorn was a great tension breaker after all of the arguing and anger in the last chapter. I was very relieved when I read that the Maiar and Valar had taken care of the "everything is going up on social media" problem. Eventually, the reality of Elves in modern Middle-earth will have to come out to everyone, but now is definitely not the time. I find Legolas' concern about what his father would think about his choice to become a police officer (and eventually detective) very intriguing. Thranduil, in his various treatments in book and film canon and fanfic has a commonality in character of being a very dominant personality, and it must have been difficult to have grown up in his shadow. Ron's mention of Legolas' personality type was equally interesting to me. Do you have MBTI's figured out for all of the elves in this story? *grin* Letting Legolas open the locked gates was nice. It really seemed to demonstrate that Glorfindel had forgiven Legolas for the brouhaha (not that Legolas really needed forgiving for doing the right thing for the situation at hand). It seemed, to me, to symbolize a reaffirmation of trust in Liam Prince, after the potentially destructive aftermath of the day's events for the Elves. I still want to know who beat up Glorfindel. As I'm sure he wants to know too. I think that he might be a bit jealous of Legolas even if he won't admit it. Being an administrator is important, but when you know there are baddies out there who have yet to be brought to justice for an attack on you, it's tempting to want to be the one to find and go after them. Nell and the Three Amigos being nervous over their first college exams. Another point of commonality between Elves and Men. :-) I'm sure they'll do fine, although imagining their nerves between doing the exams and finally getting their grades is fun. I'd almost forgotten about the Mayoral race with all of the other excitement. I would really love to see something happen to get Mr. Peterson to change his mind about the Elves... Hmmm... Any chance that he could be little Gabriella's maternal grandfather? *grin* Imagine his mixed feelings about disliking the elves and yet yet being reluctantly grateful to the Elf who saved his grandaughter. I know that you've got this story already written out, but when the though crossed my mind, I was very amused my the mental image of the look on his face. Finally, I'm just grinning like mad at my envisioning of the look on everyone's faces at the revelation that it's triplets. Hmmm. I wonder just how much of a hand that the Valar--or, more likely, Eru--might have had in encouraging this mini-population explosion? (And which of the Maiar are going to take copies of the ultrasound pictures back to Aman to the interested folk there?) This was a really excellent chapter, Fiondil. Answers to questions, character development, humor, and a new surprise! Thank you so much for sharing your visions of Elves in modern Middle-earth with us.

Author's reply

Hi Rhyselle. I actually have MBTI's for a fair number of the Elves and some of the Mortals of Wiseman. You may even see some of them mentioned in Elf Academy 4. We'll learn more about Glorfindel's mugging but that will have to wait until EA4, though some aspects of it will be discussed later on in this story. I think a lot of people may have forgotten about the mayoral race, but I haven't. *grin* And we'll be seeing it and its results and effects on the Elves later. Still need to get to the wedding first. Anyway, I'm glad you like the idea of triplets. I think Eru has been behind the mini-population explosion and having fun doing it. LOL! Thanks for taking the time to comment. It's very much appreciated.

Laer · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 83: New News

Glad that the Maiar helped them out of that little mess. Now Officer Prince can get to learning ;) Glad that the other's understand that just because they wanted to be ranger's didn't mean everyone wanted to be one. I like the idea of Eric and his wife owning a clothing store. It will be great for the town also. Besides I am sure the this will give several of the elves some place to work and sale their wares. (necklaces for one; maybe scarfs for another) Triplets. Oh my. They are going to have their arms full aren't they :)

Author's reply

Hi Laer. Well, people, even Elves, tend to assume things about others that are not correct and they just needed to be reminded of this. We'll see if the Elves are successful in purchasing the clothing store or not later on. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

bookworm · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 83: New News

AdsAjwehgkjahdgkwj TRIPLETS. Oh my! Amroth and Nimrodel are going to be worked off their feet when they are born!

Author's reply

I imagine they will be, bookworm, but they'll have LOTS of help with all the "uncles" and "aunties". LOL! Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's appreciated.

UTfrog · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 83: New News

This chapter is stuffed with news! Great points about the election. Love the clothing store idea. Triplets!!! The naysayers in Aman will have strokes.

Author's reply

There certainly is a lot of news in this chapter, UTfrog, and we will see what happens with the election and the clothing store in later chapters. I suspect you're right about the naysayers, but there's nothing they can do about it, is there? *grin* Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Celeth · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 83: New News

Yeheeyyy!!! More Elves - and elflings - to love...and more stories to read! Congratulations to the happy couple. I am sure some of the ellith will happily take on the role of nanny, because Amroth and Nimrodel sure will have their hands full. Elladan is right, having an Elf in the police force would be beneficial for them as well as for law enforcement. I hope more Elves decide to join him. Wouldn't it be great if Legolas does manage to work his way up, and takes over when Dave Michaelson retires. Why not? Time is on his side, after all. I hope Erestor and his wife manage to buy Jacob's. Things are falling into place, it seems, with a little help from a Maiar (and Valar) or three... And by the way, I'd wear "Elf-lover" on my shirt everyday if I could. I hope candidate Peterson loses big time haha.

Author's reply

Hi Celeth. I'm sure Amroth and Nimrodel will not lack for any helping nannies of either gender once the babies are born. In fact, they'll be overwhelmed by the number of people, including many Mortals, who will eagerly volunteer to "take the little tykes off your hands so you can get some rest". LOL! Time is definitely on Legolas' side, and on the side of all the Elves, whatever they end up doing as they integrate themselves into Wiseman's society. I would not be surprised if Legolas does indeed take over from Michaelson some day and I can even see a time when every patrolman or woman is partnered with an Elf. But that's for the future to decide and at the moment Legolas is just starting out and is on probation. As for the clothing store, we will see how that works out later. And I'm with you, Celeth. I would proudly wear such a shirt myself. We'll see how the election goes and what follows soon enough. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Larner · 13 October 2014 · Chapter 83: New News

Aha! Triplets! And after a meal spiced with so much news already! Love the idea that the Maiar, being "on duty," are drinking lemonade. Heh!

Author's reply

Yes, triplets. And we will see later that the other topics of discussion will have an impact on the lives of the Elves as well. I thought it was funny that the Maiar were drinking lemonade because they were "on duty", too. Thanks for reading and reviewing, Larner. I appreciate it.

obsidianj · 11 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

LOL! The ending is priceless. "Don't mind us", indeed. I feared the reaction of the other elves would be less than enthusiastic. It seems to be Finrod and his new job all over. Although with the involvement of the media, it is more serious. The abilities of the elves is now out of the bag. No hiding anymore. I'm not sure they can make all the videos on YouTube go away. That still would leave all the other ones privately stored on cell phones.

Author's reply

It remains to be seen how all this can be contained, but I'm sure the Maiar are on it. And cell phones can suffer mysterious data losses as can computers and such. *grin* At any rate we'll see just why everyone is angry and what they end up doing about it in the next chapter. Thanks for reviewing, obsidianj. I appreciate it.

obsidianj · 11 October 2014 · Chapter 81: Job Interview

LOL! "Can we keep him." Love this. That chase was awesome. Especially after the awkward job interview. I don't think Dave will let him go after this stunt. But Legolas/Liam still has a lot to learn before he can be a cop. I liked the way you portrayed Legolas as realizing that he hadn't bothered to get to know the mortals of this time. He was still living in the past. 6 month will get him on the right track, but I think to really pass for a mortal he will need more. It is not the conscious things you do to fit in, but the little things. The things you do when you don't think about it that need to feel natural. Can't wait to see what the rest of the elves reaction will be when the story about the car chase and the job interview gets out.

Author's reply

Hi obsidian j. I'm glad you found the chase awesome and the interview was indeed awkward and on many levels. You're right that it's the little things that trip people up, and this is true with foreigners as well. It will take more than six months for Legolas to master all the cultural nuances of being Mortal, but he will have good teachers, including the Mortals themselves. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

CRYING TEARS OF LAUGHTER AT THE MAIA WITH POPCORN

Author's reply

It is funny, isn't it? *grin* Thanks, bookworm.

MikoNoNyte · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

Hullo again Fiondil! Been a while. I finally came in this a.m. and downloaded to the Kindle the chapters I've missed. What a series of chapters! *whew* I am so glad to see others beside Alex, Glorfindel and Finrod coming to the fore; and Legolas as police officer!!!! That so totally rocks! Think we can steal him for down here in California? :) Really exciting scenes, well written and only one flaw my dear. WWTV is Alaska tv station. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_television_stations_in_Alaska The standard adopted by the FCC, The Mississippi River, is the dividing line between East and West with only a few mistakes based on the similarities of State code abbreviations. So Alaska (as the address listed above shows) is K stations. KWTV would work. Otherwise, killer chapters (the last 2 especially). I could so see Leggy doing the car surfing (shades of that silly shield ride in TT film haha). With most of the action lately being with the mouth or the brain, it's nice to see the elves (or at least one of them) kicking butt. And yes, why IS Legolas suddenly thinking of his beloved Adar? Not to mention feeling suddenly like a little elfling. LOL I am totally loving your writing, dear friend and look forward to next week. Have a wonderful weekend. Taa! (leaves cookies for those in the Cliffhouse with a sign that clearly states: RESIDENTS ONLY, NO MAIAR ALLOWED) lol

Author's reply

Hi MikoNoNyte. Thanks for the correction. I'll make the appropriate change. I'm glad you enjoyed these latest chapters. I thought it was time to show some Elf butt-kicking for once and Legolas was the perfect Elf for the job. *grin* Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

UTfrog · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

Just aught up on all three chapters dealing with Legolas 's adventures. How I wish we could see that car chase filmed. You did a wonderful job with the visuals. The ending with the Maiar is even better. Thank you so much.

Author's reply

I'm glad you enjoyed this, UTfrog. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

Eruherdiriel · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

Why, yes, I think there will be a show. Hmmmmmm. Lots of people, lots of attention. This is going to be interesting. Are you sure you couldn't post just a little more often? Pretty please? ~Eruherdiriel

Author's reply

Sorry, Eruherdiriel, I think posting twice a week, which is far more frequent than anyone else who posts on this or any other site, is often enough. You'll just have to be patient. Glad you liked the chapter. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

Larner · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

Ellie was right--the perfect way for those two Maiar to appear, ready to watch the game in comfort, and with a mug of refreshment in hand. Olorin is certainly displaying that he is indeed familiar with Hobbits, isn't he? I mean, allowing us to see his inner Hobbit in that fashion! I am certain that Legolas and Michaelson will get on very well indeed, and that there will be a good deal shared between the two. That Legolas sees Aragorn in the Man is somehow hopeful. Ah, but the people of Wiseman will be served even better by their police department with officer Prince on board as he now is, and I doubt he'll ever need a pistol or rifle. Just let him have his longbow now and then, and those who would think to do evil within the town will learn to shudder and drop their own weapons! Glad Vorondur is with the Twins on this one, and Glorfindel will come around!

Author's reply

Hi Larner. I thought the ending was perfect, too, which is why I'm glad Ellie thought of it. I'm sure Legolas and Michaelson will get along well and Wiseman will be safer for having an Elf in the police force. And you're right that Glorfindel will come around eventually. We'll see how it all falls out in the next chapter. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

rikki · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

A lot of thoughts ran through my head on this chapter. Consequences was the biggest thought on my mind. Liam is thinking that he got a job and the elves should be happy for him and then he finds out that almost everyone is angry at him for finding a job. Though I have to agree with Elladan that Glorfindel is more upset that he wasn't there to help capture the baddies more than he is upset at what Liam did. You certainly wrote a roller coaster of emotions here from the different elves, the ones from Valinor seeming the most upset. Ron, the angel, has arrived on time to help defuse the situation. You can tell the elves are certainly upset and not thinking if he was able to waltz through the back yard and into the house. The elves he chooses for the conference are certainly an interesting mix. I have a feeling that the meeting is going to be one heck of a great chapter. Especially now that Finn and Gandalf are there as spectators? Popcorn no less. Hopefully, they will have ideas on how to make the videos on You Tube and the news hounds and naysayers go away. Have a great weekend. I think I am going to go pop some popcorn and join Finn and Gandalf in the spectator gallery.

Author's reply

Hi rikki. You're right that there are lots of consequences to what has happened and the fall-out will be interesting to see. We'll see why everyone, especially certain Elves in particular, are so upset at Liam in the next chapter. Ron is a gem and he is very funny here. I think he was having way too much fun with everyone. Thanks for commenting. It's much appreciated.

FV_Whisper · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

Conrad is like a kids at Christmas with the new colleague and Dave has a nice, humorous way of interacting with his staff. With Legolas as well. And his solution with Legolas is an elegant one, showing he's willing to take the Elf in hims team, but on his terms. It's clear Legolas has no clue what he has just caused (He can take that in for his lessons to act like a mortal), no clue about televisions, smart phone's, youtube movies, he just goes back into the woods and when he gets out again...Then the circus has really started. I wonder what has Aldarion, Gilvagor, Haldir and Thandir so angry. Glorfindel I can understand, having the press on your back isn't really the thing the Elves need right now. Apart from this, Glorfindel really seems to be having problems with the other Elves looking for jobs on their own. “What’s the matter, Loren? Are you upset because Liam did something without coming to the great Lord Glorfindel of the House of the Golden Flower for permission or because you weren’t there helping him to chase the bad guys?” I'm pretty sure, the truthful answer would be both lol! And Glorfindel must have forgotten how he and the others revealed them as Elves in Wiseman in quite a rash mood as well. I wonder what people who will see the footage of Legolas actions will think of it. Despited everything, I think quite a few people will see it as a hoax or some very good stunt work, hey they might even get away with it being some kind if Elf Academy promotion, but there are also other Elves out there.. Ron seems to be taking things quite lightly, maybe even a bit too much? Even though it is a good way to lighten the mood right now. . And speaking of that, the Mair showing up at the end was simply hilarious. I wonder if they are on an mission, trying to prevent any head from getting bitten of, enjoying the fun or a combo of those three!

Author's reply

Hi FV_Whisper. We'll learn why Aldarion, Gilvagor, Haldir and Thandir are so angry, or angrier than the others in the next chapter and there will be further discussions about it later on. As for the footage of the car chase, we'll see how that is handled as well. Ron isn't taking anything lightly (he rarely does, given his profession), but like all of us, he can't help tweaking people when the occasion arises and everyone just made it so easy for him to do so here. As for the Maiar, we'll see if they're on a mission or not in the next chapter as well. Thanks for leaving a review. It's much appreciated.

Sunny · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

So Legolas is going to be a cop after all, but with an "on the job" training program instead of the Police Academy. Clearly his little bit of heroism is going to be useful to himself as well! :-D But - and there's always a but, isn't there? That sort of incredible, are-you-SURE-it's-not-special-effects action would certainly NOT pass unnoticed. Or fail to get captured by a smartphone. So cue Mr. Loren "I hate surprises" DelaFiore, who inevitably learns what one of the young whippersnappers from Valinor has been up to, because it's the main news item on the local TV station, and because the newsies are besieging Edhellond. I don't know what ha Glorfindel most upset at this point (though the siege would probably be enough all by itself), Legolas not talking over his plans with him, the Twins not telling him of Legolas' plans, Elladan aiding and abetting said plans, and the rest of the inhabitants not knowing anything of what Legolas was going to do. So Glorfindel is Not Happy, and is ready to tear Legolas (and all the others) a new one. No wonder Fionwë and Olórin were sitting there with popcorn and drinks! *sits down next to the Maiar with a cup of tea, and puts a plate of homemade cookies on the table*

Author's reply

Hi Sunny. I think having in-house training will be safer for everyone. Let's face it, six months isn't a whole lot of time to learn to pass as a mortal when you consider that the Twins and others have had millennia of practice as they drifted from one human culture to another. At least this way, Legolas doesn't have to pretend anything and just be himself, which is all to the good. Glorfindel is obviously hanging by a thread here and there are reasons for it though it won't become clear until later, but certainly with everything that's been going on and the pressures he's under, Legolas' little stunt (as he sees it) hasn't helped matters. I'm sure Ron will set him straight on that. And the Maiar certainly have ringside seats on all the shenanigans of the Elves and Mortals of Wiseman. *grin* Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it very much.

Ellie · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

Ah, yes, I remember this chapter. I'm glad you liked the popcorn and drink idea. It has to be fun for the Maiar, and the Valar for that matter, to sit and watch the elves in Wiseman sometimes. There really is an awful lot of drama and an awful lot of attitude simmering in that place. :-)

Author's reply

Hi Ellie. You're right about the Maiar and Valar having fun watching the antics in Wiseman. It's better than the soaps and it's definitely live. LOL! Thanks for taking the time to review. I appreciate it very much.

Laer · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

Poor Liam, he is going to have a tough go at getting use to not being waited on. At least he isn't being a spoiled child about it all. Also glad he likes being a cop. Granted he just played cop today. Loved Ron's way of breaking the serious air and defuse it all. Fionwë and Olórin are having too much fun LOL Glad they are sharing.

Author's reply

Hi Laer. Well, he is a prince after all, but I'm sure he'll adapt to having to do things himself. He's not a total dweeb that way. Ron has a way with him, that's for sure. I doubt the others appreciate his sense of humor right now but that's neither here nor there. And the Maiar are indeed having way too much fun right now. Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

Kevana · 10 October 2014 · Chapter 82: Liam Prince, WPD

Wow, that's even better than I'd hoped! Kind of like an on-the-job apprenticeship. You go, Liam (and Dave, too)! By the time he gets to that training program, he'll be all ready to take on the challenge. There are so many things that could come of this, it's very exciting! Ah, discovered by the power of social media. Even Elves can't escape it. *grin* Sorry, buddy, we're like sharks scenting blood in the water. Far as I can remember, isn't he the first one to really do something as public and outrageous(ly awesome) like this since the trial Finrod help? Ron, you rascal. :P You wouldn't have to charge much before you'd be rich, LOL. This chapter a great way to keep the adrenaline going, showing the fallout - good and well, complicated - from Legolas's actions. It's part of that cohesiveness that always makes your stories so wonderful. Hmm, can't wait to see why Ron picked those specific people, the pot is boiling and maybe boiling over in the next chapter? I want some of that popcorn. If both of the local Maiar are there to watch, it's gotta be one heck of a show. Love the ending, great way to go out! Too funny. Hope you have a fantastic fall weekend! -Kevana

Author's reply

Hi Kevana. I don't think Legolas will end up at the police academy. Dave will see to it that he's certified without it. I'm sure between him and the Maiar, all the necessary strings will be pulled and favors called in to make it happen, but in the meantime, Legolas will receive the same training as the other recruits, just not the physical training that it a necessary part of the program, since he obviously doesn't need it. *grin* Anyway, this is the first time that any of the Elves had exhibited their power in this fashion. Glorfindel has kept everything low-key up until now but the cat's out of the bag. We'll see how this is handled in the next chapter. Ron is funny here and we'll see why he picked those specific people to the conference room in the next chapter. It speaks to the respect the others have for him that no one protests when he summarily summons some and dismisses the others. Ron is definitely a force to be reckoned with even to someone like Glorfindel or Finrod. Thanks for reviewing. Have a great weekend yourself!
