Ellie · 11 August 2015 · Chapter 10: slow progress

That was a hard choice for Elrond to make - let alone giving it voice to Glorfindel. I really do wonder if Glorfindel will succeed in helping her and to what end they both will finally come...

Author's reply

not easy for Elrond to make the choice while seeing the desperate situation, but what possibility is left to Glorfindel? Thanks for a really appreciated Review, Ellie. Lai

Ellie · 11 August 2015 · Chapter 9: power talk and intimate thoughts

These are some difficult examinations of conscience. And even still there is no clear answer for either of them. How sad.

Author's reply

sad indeed. Both ancient elves can only wait the further outcome. No concept Elrond is appreciating. Thanks for reviewing, Ellie. Lai

Matt · 11 August 2015 · Chapter 10: slow progress

As always a nice job on this. Glorfindel's choice is perfectly understandable as is Elrond's response to it. Thanks for another interesting chapter--much as I wish they were a little longer....

Author's reply

I thank YOU for a most appreciated review. Sadly my time is very limited and so the chapters are not overy long but coming in quick updates, grin.Lai

Larner · 10 August 2015 · Chapter 10: slow progress

I am glad she is now able to sit up, and apparently communicate at least with Glorfindel. I am not surprised the ancient reborn Elf has chosen as he has, but empathize with Elrond for his new separation from one he has come to love deeply as if he were family.

Author's reply

understanding on both sides but Glorfindel is maybe acting a bit too blue eyed....Thanks for a most appreciated review, Larner. Lai

Semmley · 10 August 2015 · Chapter 10: slow progress

I am enjoying the unfolding of this mystery Lai. Glorfindel is so sure he has found his soul-mate, that she will recover and all will be well. However, even the Valar are unsure of the outcome and I trust Elrond's instincts that all is not as it appears. Looking forward to your next update.

Author's reply

with all the joy and anxiety Glorfindel would not hurt to heed his friends bad gut. Thanks for reviewing, Tina. Lai

shirebound · 10 August 2015 · Chapter 10: slow progress

“Elrond, I will stay with her, no matter what. Maybe when she has recovered I will follow, but now she needs me and I will not let her down a second time.” What a monumental and noble decision to make.

Author's reply

indeed, but it is a noble and ancient elf making it. Thank you so much for reviewing, shirebound. Lai

Larner · 30 July 2015 · Chapter 9: power talk and intimate thoughts

Both have reason to be concerned, as do Namo and Vaire as well. Now, to see if she can and does begin to waken....

Author's reply

indeed all have reason to be concerned. Elrond´s premonitions should not be shoved aside....thank you for reviewing, Larner. Lai

Ellie · 28 July 2015 · Chapter 9: power talk and intimate thoughts

What a horrible dilemma for everyone involved!

Author's reply

indeed and there seems no solution so far! Thank you for a most appreciated Review, Ellie. Lai

Larner · 20 July 2015 · Chapter 8: an undying love

A terrible story, and a terrible question now as to the true identity of the woman now lying in Elrond's infirmary. Only time will tell now, of course. Now, to see to what she will waken.

Author's reply

hopefully the awakening and what follows is not another shock for poor Glorfindel? Thanky ou for reviewing, Larner. Lai

lmamc · 19 July 2015 · Chapter 8: an undying love

Wow, this chapter almost made me cry. I remember the story from The Silmarillion and it was just horrible what happened. I think it was Hurin who gave away the location of Gondolin which brought about its destruction.Update the next one soon.

Author's reply

this story about the destruction makes me swallow every time I read or write about it. Right, it was just horrible. Thank you for a most appreciated review. Lai

shirebound · 19 July 2015 · Chapter 8: an undying love

Oh my, what horrific memories. Of course he needs to be sure if this woman is his beloved!

Author's reply

the situation must be unbearable for Glorfindel that he maybe has left her behind alive....and we have to know too. LOL. Thanks for reviewing, shirebound

Larner · 9 July 2015 · Chapter 7: soul mate

Ah, but it's a pleasant moment for Glorfindel, I'd think, to find the woman who stirs his heart! Heh!

Author's reply

indeed, but the time of joy will not last long as history tells us. Thanks for reviewing, Larner. Lai

lmamc · 9 July 2015 · Chapter 7: soul mate

lmamc · 30 June 2015 · Chapter 6: disappointed expectations

It was getting to the good part. It would be nice if Glorfindel did have a love interest. Update soon.

Larner · 29 June 2015 · Chapter 6: disappointed expectations

Now, this is interesting! To see now to what she comes.

Author's reply

Elrond will not believe what Glorfindel is telling, but the woman should be proof enough, or? Thank you for a most appreciated review, Larner. Lai

ellie · 29 June 2015 · Chapter 6: disappointed expectations

Well opening get eyes and looking around and even screaming are all better than s silence. I hope Elrond pays close attention to the story. Maybe he will learn something useful. Thank you for updating so soon!

Author's reply

you are welcome. Even if Elrond can barely believe what Glorfindel is telling him he will learn many news about the fall of Gondolin and the nightmare the woman is caught in. Thanks for your review, ellie. Lai

shirebound · 29 June 2015 · Chapter 6: disappointed expectations

What a horrific nightmare this woman must be caught in. I hope she finds healing, or at least peace.

Author's reply

the nightmare the woman is caught in is greater than even Elrond and Glorfindel can imagine. Thank you so much for still following my story and reviewing, shirebound, Lai

lmamc · 22 June 2015 · Chapter 5: hope against hope

Matt · 22 June 2015 · Chapter 5: hope against hope

Nice cliffy! Looking forward to learning who Halleth is or at least what she can tell them. Thanks for your hard work on this.

Author's reply

cliffies are my favourite - LOL! You will be surprised as Elrond who the woman really is. It´s hard work because of the language but always fun to write. Thanks for a most appreciated rveiew. Lai

Larner · 21 June 2015 · Chapter 5: hope against hope

Well, hopefully this will allow some shifting of expectations and willingness on all sides to meet more needs than merely those of one mysterious woman. Love the buildup in the tension of the meeting.

Author's reply

Glorfindel has a good reason to only focus on the woman, yet he had also duties Elrond is not willing to neglect. I´m glad you liked the meeting - a conversation is no easy stuff. Thank you so much for reviewing, Larner. Lai

shirebound · 21 June 2015 · Chapter 5: hope against hope

Oh my goodness, *now* what will happen? *paces*

Ellie · 21 June 2015 · Chapter 5: hope against hope

Glorfindel must have been really annoying and difficult to set everyone on edge like this. I hope that Glorfindel will not be disappointed with the end result of his poor behavior. At least they have a name for her and good news about her. Can't wait for more!

Author's reply

Glorfindel can be really annoying when his mind is set. Yet he should hear his Lord´s warnings. Will the awakening bring the desired result? Thank you so much reviewing, Ellie. Lai

lmamc · 13 June 2015 · Chapter 4: Could the day get any worse?

Well, I guess I can see where Elrond is coming from. I just hope Glorfindel is not disappointed.

Author's reply

Elond´s concerns are valid but Glorfindel is not reeady to see this just yet. Thanks for reviewing and following my story. Lai

shirebound · 13 June 2015 · Chapter 4: Could the day get any worse?

He had to remind himself again that he was now a king of men and that the affairs of the elves were no longer his focus and responsibility. I like that detail.

Author's reply

Aragorn will never be able to shake off his life with the elves, even if his life now lies with men. I can so sympathize with him. Thank you for a most appreciated review, shirebound. Lai

matt · 12 June 2015 · Chapter 4: Could the day get any worse?

I've followed this story since ch3 and like it but am confused on this chapter's title. Nothing particularly "bad" seems to happen here to cause the naming of the chapter to be so. Very curious to see where you take this. Thanks for your hard work on it.

Author's reply

hard work but always fun. I´m glad you are still following my story. Thank you for reviewing. It means a lot to me. Lai
