Oh, Eomer, bad timing is your name. He never can get anything right. Lothiriel's reaction was strange. But I will have to wait for the story to unfold before Lothiriel hopefully will give the answer to that riddle.

Author's reply

Well, poor Eomer is bumbling about in the smoke and mirrors without proper directions, so you can't really blame him. He's trying his best ;-) All will be revealed eventually though.

Sitaray · 13 July 2016 · Chapter 9: Chapter 10

Love this story...please update soon!!!

Author's reply

Thank you! I hope to be more regular with updating in the future, but Real Life keeps me on my toes.

curiouswombat · 12 July 2016 · Chapter 9: Chapter 10

Oh poor Éomer - how very embarrassing, to be found in bed with your wife in a position that indicates you have a very normal approach to having to leave her... :) I wonder if he is right about her fear it was to be a 'token to remember me by' - and like him I wonder, if so, who gave her the last one?

Author's reply

Yes, poor Eomer! Perhaps I should have called this story 'Bad Timing' ;-D And the token will be explained eventually, but of course not just yet. I still intend to have a little more fun with him!

Larner · 11 July 2016 · Chapter 9: Chapter 10

She, too, must learn to relax and appreciate his foibles just as he needs to learn about her. At least he's learning to be honest with her and to admit he is attracted by her. I wonder what brought about this flight reaction, too.

Author's reply

Yes, he's taken a step towards her - and by admitting to her that he finds her attractive, he's also admitting as much to himself. As for Lothiriel's reaction, he will find out eventually what caused it.

whitewave · 11 July 2016 · Chapter 9: Chapter 10

Oh gosh, I wish the battle will be finished soon so they can talk again. Sigh. Thanks for another good chapter.

Author's reply

It won't be that quick - but luckily there are other forms of communication than talking. Thanks for reviewing!

obsidianj · 10 July 2016 · Chapter 9: Chapter 9

This was such a sweet scene. I can see them sitting on the carpet playing on a dark rainy afternoon. But as usual Eomer's timing is bad.

Author's reply

Well, Eomer has nobody but himself to blame for his bad timing - he should have lost more quickly ;-D

Larner · 5 July 2016 · Chapter 9: Chapter 9

Well, he's at least beginning to recognize when he's managed to cram his foot into his mouth! And they are beginning to open up to one another. Too bad they didn't get their ride, but they do have the shared games to remember!

Author's reply

Hi Larner, recognising you've said something wrong is at least the first step, isn't it! Though no doubt Eomer will manage to put his foot in again. And perhaps they can go for a ride another time. Thanks for reviewing! Lia

curiouswombat · 4 July 2016 · Chapter 9: Chapter 9

What a lovely, warm, chapter. (I'm sitting here with cold, wet, feet having been caught out in my sandals in just such a sudden storm - perhaps that is why 'warm' came to mind!) It is so nice to see them comfortable with each other. Such a good memory for Éomer to take with him, too; even better, in some ways, than the one his men, and the servants, would expect him to take from the afternoon.

Author's reply

Hi Wombat, sorry to hear about your cold feet! But at least the chapter managed to warm you up, I hope. And I agree with you about the memory - physical attraction is very well, but it's also important in a marriage to have a good time together. Lia

obsidianj · 2 July 2016 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

Oh, Eomer. Lothiriel is managing you. If you would notice she wouldn't do a good job. Loved Lothiriel handling the old councilor. Amrothos should be careful in what he says to Eomer about Lothiriel. He starts to get protective of her.

Author's reply

Yes, of course she's managing him - and he's enjoying it, really ;-) And I think Amrothos is starting to regret Dol Amroth losing her, at least where his creature comforts are concerned!

Linda Hoyland · 1 July 2016 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

I loved the way Lothiriel shone at the council!

Author's reply

Thank you! She's slowly coming into her own.

Linda Hoyland · 1 July 2016 · Chapter 7: Chapter 7

Poor Lothiriel. I hope she gets her wish of a child soon. No peace for the warriors!

Author's reply

Yes, I think that despite Sauron's downfall, it would have taken time to secure their borders. As Tolkien himself wrote: 'though Sauron had passed, the hatreds and evils that he bred had not died'. Thanks for reviewing!

Robnrun · 21 June 2016 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

I was hoping there would be a chapter up today! I love the tension, and that council meeting is absolutely accurate to how that sort of management can run. Wonderful. Though I am glad I manage to communicate, in general, more clearly with my partner...despite me being of the 'Gondor' and he of 'Rohan' type!

Author's reply

I've been through my share of meetings too, so that part was from personal experience! And lol about you being the Gondor type and your partner from Rohan. Lia

curiouswombat · 21 June 2016 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

**she hadn’t been teasing him there, had she?** I rather think she might have been, Éomer :) How good that he is enabling her to show her worth to others - Amrothos included!

Author's reply

Poor Eomer, he is a bit clueless sometimes ;-) Also like you said, how he enables her to show her worth - and then the next moment he thinks of her as a 'Gondorian lady'. But that's part of the fun of writing this story - and reading it, I hope. Lia

Larner · 21 June 2016 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

Ah, but she IS managing him and doing very well indeed! And when is it he'll get it through his head she was enamored of Boromir? Silly man!

Author's reply

And I think, really, that he quite enjoys being managed by her. But you know men and their pride...

whitewave · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

Enjoyed Lothiriel's mastery of tact and feminine wiles. Hope they can be more open with each other before Eomer leaves.

Author's reply

Ah, but will they? Their timing is not always the best...

whitewave · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 7: Chapter 7

Enjoying how the story is moving along.

whitewave · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 6: Chapter 6

It's good that they got some "semi" private time together.

whitewave · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Sorry for wriing the reviews all at the same time, I've been meaning to do so for so long but was so busy. I'm enjoying all of the exchanges between our protagonists. Looking forward to the next chapters on how their relationship unravels.

Author's reply

Hello whitewave, I had a bit of a shock when I checked my emails this morning ;-D Thanks so much for taking the time to review! As you can see, their relationship is only moving along slowly, but then both of them have been hurt and are wary of risking their hearts again. You know me though - we'll get there eventually! Lia

whitewave · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Loved the part when Eomer pledged to fight for his wife's honor. Hope they get to be more open with each other eventually.

whitewave · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Loved the scene with Lothiriel and her first glimpse of snow. They are falling in love I think.

whitewave · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 2: Chapter 2

I hope they get to fall in love soon, I see hints here and there.

whitewave · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Loved how you are presenting Lothiriel's personality.

whitewave · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 0: Prologue

I love all your "first meeting" scenes of Eomer and Lothiriel in all your stories, this one is no exception.

lionlass · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

You have no IDEA how excited I am with every new update! Imagine my delight when I went back to re-read my favorite Lothiriel/Eomer stories and discovered you'd begun a NEW one. However, I hadn't anticipated the horrible suspense that comes with getting immersed in a story as the author is still writing it. The tension in this one is so strong between the two. I know it'll make things so much better once it's all resolved, but it's so painful for poor Eomer. As with all your other stories, I love your style dearly, and I'm so looking forward to updates! Thank you for continuing to write!

Author's reply

Hi Lionlass, sorry for the suspense! I'm trying to update more or less regularly, but Real Life often interferes. However, at least you know that I finish all my stories - there's nothing worse than getting hung up on a story in progress, is there! And thank you so much for your kind words - I'm so pleased to hear that you like to re-read my stories, that's the nicest compliment you can pay an author :-) Lia

Kath · 20 June 2016 · Chapter 8: Chapter 8

Another wonderful chapter! I just love the game you are playing with these two! Just please write more quickly!!!!

Author's reply

Hi Kath, thank you, I like playing with them too ;-) As for writing more quickly, I'm doing my best, but unfortunately Real Life keeps intruding! Lia
