Aw, YAY for little Fara! I'm glad he's finally here! Lovely story...and I wonder what Faramir Hurin will think of his namesake *wry grin* ~Kaylee!!

Author's reply

I've never thought about that - that would be a good story :-) Thank you Kaylee!

Absolutely lovely story. So different from most Pippin/Diamond/Faramir stories. Thank you for a nice read.

powerwriter · 7 April 2004 · Chapter 7: Endings and Beginnings

I’ve liked this story from the beginning, and it’s sad to see it end. Pippin knitting? How great! The baby finally came...thank goodness! I like the way this ended with Pippin waking to see his son for the first time. Very enjoyable story :)

Connie · 31 March 2004 · Chapter 7: Endings and Beginnings

Oh, what a sweet story. I got a little tear in my eye when I realized what was going to happen as soon as Theodoc started talking. The bonding moments were just precious. Thanks for such a nice little story. Connie.

Just too sweet!

PIppinfan1988 · 31 March 2004 · Chapter 7: Endings and Beginnings

NO! It can't be finished! I want it to go on! I want to see the two of them bonding and adjusting to life with a new wee babe. Please say that you're at least contemplating more P&D&F! Oh, this chapter was magnificent...amazing, funny at the lighter moments. *You* are amazing, Pearl! Pippin knitting--too cool! Merry's vest buttons bursting with pride of his son calling him da-da. Pearl and Estella knocking out Pippin to stay out from underfoot. OH! And Pippin holding his son for the first time...absolutely precious. (standing ovation, whistles and more applause! Take your bow, Pearl!) Take care. Pippinfan

Awww, so sweet! And you even made a cameo, big sister ;P This was a lovely ending to a beautiful story, though I must admit, it took me by surprise coming so early. I guess I'm more used to your epics, and expected this one to be much longer! I loved it anyway, and I'm glad to see that our little nephew is all well and healthy. :)

Grey Wonderer · 31 March 2004 · Chapter 7: Endings and Beginnings

This was just perfect! For a minute there when she fell, I thought she was going to lose the baby, but everything turned out so beautifully! You are a wonderful writer and this was amazing!

Pervinca · 30 March 2004 · Chapter 6: Boredom and Blessings

Oh, I loved how the cradle somehow represented each of Pippin's closest (non-hobbit) friends. And the gifts from Arwen were beautiful - very amusing about their timing for arrival...just after Pippin had decided *not* to have any black :P

shirebound · 29 March 2004 · Chapter 6: Boredom and Blessings

Fantastic. I'm just in awe of the subtle details woven into your chapters. I love how Estella described the little kicks of the baby as "chasing dreams", and oh, that cradle! And the gifts! And the love between these people! Incredible story.

PIppinfan1988 · 29 March 2004 · Chapter 6: Boredom and Blessings

That was so lovely! You have the most remarkable way of describing Diamond's emotions...*I* felt pregnant! Oy! and at my age! The gift from the king and queen were a delight to open up, too! It's great watching Estella with Theo, too. Fantastic chapter, Pearl! Pippinfan

*tears* This is simply lovely. I can just imagine the littlist Took looking sweet and beautiful beneath the coverlet graced with the tree of Gondor. The whole chapter was wonderful. I look forward to reading it several times. Bless you. Mys

All I can say is...awwww...this story is just so different...so mature. I am honestly enjoying very much especially Pippin and Theo's relationship. Please keep going :)

Rose Gamgee · 29 February 2004 · Chapter 5: Worries

*squeals* That was fantastic! I'm so glad we got to see another conversation between Pippin and Theo! You've had children of your own, yes? It definitely shows, because you write the perfect baby. I was reminded of my little cousin Freddie. :) Aww, Pippin's getting Impending Fatherhood Nerves... I can just imagine him being worried that his boy would be another "Fool of a Took." "'That’s it,' he said quietly this time into Theo’s little ear. 'A name as noble as yours, my dear cousin. You are named for a good, kindly king. A king who fell under darkness but was saved, then led his people to fight the great evil. A king who took the time to be kind to a lonely hobbit of the Shire. I pledged my life to Gondor to honor Boromir. I shall name my son to honor his brother.'" Yes! I was really looking forward to reading about Pippin's choice for a name in this, and you did not disappoint at all. He provided us with a perfect explanation, didn't he? Hee hee, poor Diamond... I've heard about expecting mothers getting a little - ahem - *demanding* of their husbands. Must've been an awkward visit to the healer to ask about that! And it was so cute when Estella said that Diamond was taking on Pippin's trait of "not being able to sit still" when something's troubling her - and then we saw Pippin doing the same thing later on! Lovely chapter, Pearl! :) (By the way, thank you for reviewing "A Light in Dark Places," it was great to hear from you!)

shirebound · 29 February 2004 · Chapter 5: Worries

My favorite chapter so far! "Drat!" Pippin hugged the baby boy to his chest, firmly placing a kiss upon Theo’s soft brown curls. "You are turning into your Da. You see through me. I shan’t be getting anything past either of you, shall I?" Pippin and Theo have the most fascinating relationship! I just can't get enough of it.

Pervinca · 29 February 2004 · Chapter 5: Worries

Another very sweet chapter. I love the way you alluded to the business Diamond and our little brother were up to, but did not blantantly speak of it. Also glad to see Pippin's still talking to Theodoc, AND that everyone approves of the choice of name!

PIppinfan1988 · 28 February 2004 · Chapter 5: Worries

Lovely! I'm enjoying this "expecting" just as much as Diamond, and Pippin concerned about the child being "different". I like how you're weaving the Faerie blood into this story line as well! Take care. Pippinfan

Grey Wonderer · 28 February 2004 · Chapter 5: Worries

Another wonderful chapter of my current favorite story! It is so sweet the way Pippin worries and Diamond too. Estella is just wonderful with her calm ways. You write them all so beautifully. Well worth the wait. Thank you!

Valerie · 7 January 2004 · Chapter 4: Preparations

Aww! lol That was a cute chapter :P. I love little Merry and Pippin scenes; they always succeed in making me smile. This is a lovely story and I hope you continue it!

powerwriter · 5 January 2004 · Chapter 4: Preparations

I adore the interaction between the characters. This is such a good story. Please keep it going :)

Rose Gamgee · 2 January 2004 · Chapter 4: Preparations

Hehehe, what a cute chapter! I love how Pippin spent half of it with a piece of wood dangling from his hair... *giggles at the image* And it's so sweet that he wanted to build something for his baby. I can't wait for Diamond to see the cradle. Great job, Pearl! I look forward to more. :)

Pervinca · 31 December 2003 · Chapter 4: Preparations

Oh, how sweet! Our little brother trying to make a cradle for his little one! Absolutely gorgeous. I really hope that there will be a discusion of what to name the baby soon! I do wonder what Diamond will think of "Faramir"!

Grey Wonderer · 31 December 2003 · Chapter 4: Preparations

So sweet and very funny! I love the fact that Pippin is still Pippin even though he is about to be a father. I'm with Merry, I wouldn't want him any other way. Another great chapter! This is a wonderful story.

Zebra Wallpaper · 31 December 2003 · Chapter 4: Preparations

Oh, I'm so happy this story has continued--I'd thought the last chapter was the end. Fantastic, though, and so cute. I love that Pippin wants to make something for his child and the flashback about the cradle incident was delightful. Can't wait for the next chapter :)
