· Chapter 3: If I Read the Signs Aright
I love this story.I love it when Pippin talks to Theo, it's just so...Pippin. And his memories of Lorien and the flet and the second chapter just made me fall in love with Pippin all over again. And then the third chapter his reaction to the news. It was just beautiful. He kissed her tummy, and he wanted to make sure that the baby knew that it's father loved him(or her for Diamond's sake). That made me cry. And then when he tells Merry "I'm having a baby!" And Merry goes "*You're* having a baby?" That was just funny. But the talks that Pip has with Theo have to be my favorite. Telling him about how hobbits don't go back on their words and how Theo and Pip's son will grow up just like him and Merry. Wonderful!

Oh, Pippin's shocked (and quiet) reaction was so perfect! And this...
"A baby, Merry! A baby! I'm having a baby!"
Adorable.

Oh, I had been waiting for this! What a lovely, lovely end to the story. Seriously, my heart just sang as I read this, I was just so happy for them. You really brought us into their emotions in this story and that's no easy task. Wonderful, Pearl, just wonderful. Thank you for wrtiting this.

Of all of the fiction written concerning Pippin and Diamond, I enjoy this chapter the most. I found it romantic, warm, and filled with real feelings. Everyone deserves a relationship this special! My favorite thing about all of this is that Pippin knows that there are other Hobbits fairer than his Diamond but she is the only one he wants. That's love.

I love camping! The cool night air, the crickets chirping, the cicadas hissing and snuggling under in a sleeping bag combined make a great night. I've never tried it in a tree before, though, could be interesting. :) Another great chapter. Keep up the good work.

Very nicely written, I must say. I love the little tyke. :) I have a three year old brother of my own and I remember when he was that small. It's my favorite time with little kids. Sweetness, innocence, love, trust, all the good things in life incarnated in the mite of life in your arms. Truly a touching story, with little Theodoc no doubt slightly, if not totally, inspired by one of your kids, I'm sure. I just loved it.

Okay, I haven't been reviewing as much as I should lately, but a story this good just demands feedback.
This just breaks my heart! Poor Pippin and Diamond... But on a happier note - Pippin is such a sweetie! (Okay, so that's stating the obvious...) I loved it when he "talked" to Theodoc; that's classic Pippin. You're writing him so well, and the other characters, too. I know from experience that it's not always easy to write for Diamond and Estella, because we know next to nothing about them, so we have to think up our own ways for them to interact with the canon characters (if I'm making any sense at all...). From what I can tell, you're one of those authors who has acomplished this task wonderfully. And you're doing a great job with writing Pippin and Diamond's emotions on this subject - the writing really tugs at the reader's heartstrings. And I adored that song! *sigh* Pippin is so great...
"Pippin blinked. His gaze faltered. He looked away from the innocent eyes and out to the wide world, up into the clear blue sky. 'And my heart, too, Theodoc. My heart, too.'"
*sob* This is fantastic! Please continue when you get the chance, I'm very eager to read more!
(Now the only bad thing I can say about this story so far is that it makes me feel terribly uncreative, since I've been planning something similar for my own Pippin/Diamond story. :P )

Oh my gosh, Pearl, this is one of the most heart-breaking chapters of a story I've ever read. And sweet and funny, too. How do you manage that?
I'm tremendously jealous, but also excited. I'm glad this is only chapter one--it makes me really happy to know there'll be more!

Adorable chapter, I look forward to more. I loved Pippin talking to the baby about honor. Just one thing though - Merry's children would be Pippin's first cousins once removed, Pip's children would be Theadoc's second cousins.
