| There has been trouble in Middle Earth. In Thranduil's realm, misguided researchers have interfered with the natural ecosystem. His son, Legolas, has been killed and dissected and many of his warriors have been taken by poachers. There have been whispers in the darkness of the presence of the fell Mary Sue.

| Written for the Stories of Arda group's holiday challenge (2003). Thought I'd get it posted while it's still seasonal.
