“Find the thief! Find Baggins from the Shire and do not think of returning before you seize back what’s supposed to be my right! Or you will never be free from the world of neither living nor dead.” Shivering would be an understatement for the state the Ringwraiths were in as they were facing their Lord. Hunting for mortals was never easy and they had to pay for the consequences should they fail – and it was all – the hooded creatures grunted under their breaths – because of His own mistake. He was the one who was defeated and now everyone had to suffer for that. “I know what you’re thinking!” hissed the Dark Lord. “And you will be punished for that,” he snapped. There were low gasps, and the Nazguls stilled. Colors drained from their skeletal faces – if that was possible to happen, and they nearly jumped out of their skins – if they had them at all – as Sauron roared a mocking laugh. “No, not yet! Punishing you has always been so delightful and I shall save that for later chances.” The Ringwraiths glared to each other in agitation, their flowing, tattered robes fizzling against the uneven ground. “You have an errand more important for the time being. Now leave and find my Ring!” TBC (2) The iron door to the chamber slammed closed behind the Ringwraiths’ backs startling the Dark Lord making him curse exasperatedly but he was too late. The once kings of men had already been on their way on the pursuit of some Baggins in the land called the Shire. Sauron would have never imagined having to seek his precious to such a faraway country if not for the creature called Gollum. What a foolish mortal being. It poured everything out at the lightest tickle of one of Sauron’s torture contraption after a wicked ploy of destiny ensnared it into the clutches of the Lord of all evil. The Ruler of Mordor, in the form of a blinding light, slowly made his way out by slipping through the narrow slit beneath the door while snickering maliciously to himself. In a way he pitied the creature. It should have been able to flee avoiding being captured by the hands of Sauron had it been an unearthly being like him. Gollum’s state of being corporeal had trapped itself and made it exposed to any of its foes. Moreover, as a living thing, Gollum was subject to feeling any kinds of pains. Slithering across the dark corridor of Barad-Dur and across the arid terrain of Gorgoroth to go back to the tower where the Eye lay, the light of Sauron knew how lucky he was to be unbound from any forms of embodiment.
