Visions  by Calenlass

Visions

Long years have passed,

Yet the light in my eyes has not yet dimmed.

oOo

I see far ahead in the future of my people,

And I can see that their future will not be easy.

oOo

I see in them jealousy,

Fear,

Anger.

oOo

I see them fight amongst themselves,

With others,

And even with the Firstborn.

oOo

Lust is in their eyes,

They pine for what they cannot have—

Immortality.

oOo

I see them become great among men,

Leaders and powerful kings.

oOo

But this honor but not earned by honest means,

But from scheming.

oOo

What grieves me most is that I see the Enemy,

The Enemy among them.

Spreading his filthy lies,

Sowing his seeds of contention,

Causing fear among them—

Just like his Master.

oOo

But I do not despair,

For I see a few faithful,

Those that hold true to the ancient laws.

oOo

I know they will become greater,

Far greater then those who have sought after power.

They will be honorable and brave,

Fearless and courageous.

oOo

And though they are few,

Scattered and oppressed,

Persecuted to no end,

They will endure at whatever cost,

Whatever the consequences.

oOo

Nimruzīrim, stay true.

Remember your forefathers.

Abār, Nimruzīrim, abār.

The End

Adūnaic Translations:

Nimruzīrim – Elf friends. It is the Adūnaic version of “the Elendili.”

Abār – Endurance

These were the few words I manged to find. Information on Adūnaic is scant indeed.
