Dawn of a New Age: First Age  by elliska
This story tells the history of Oropher and Thranduil's lives as Sindarin lords in Doriath, refugees of the destruction of Beleriand and rulers of Greenwood the Great. The first part of the story, set in Doriath during the First Age, explores Oropher's role in Elu Thingol's court, his participation in the Wars of Beleriand, his interaction with the Noldor and the establishment of the family that would become the House of Oropher.
