An outbreak of fever has turned Peregrin Took unusually somber--and worried. Merry hopes to take his mind off things with some planning. This story was written for LotR GFIC's remix challenge, remixing Dreamflower's Pippin/Diamond romance "It Takes a Took." Knowing the story and that particular writer's take on the Shire will yield a richer reading experience, but is not necessary.
