It is the year 2063 of the Third Age. Sauron has reappeared at Dol Guldur and it is resolved that Gandalf must drive him out. Though the Tale of Years provides little detail, the recent discovery of the Testament of Aranarth now reveals the full tale of the battle to expel Sauron and critical roles that Radagast, Haldir of Lorien, and the Dunedain played in the heroic effort .
