Dribbles: Hobbits in General & Young Merry and Pippin
A/N: Over on LiveJournal, Shirebound pointed out a new type of writing called "dribbles" which were created by Ismenin. There are 10 lines in a dribble, and the first line contains 10 words, the second line contains 9 words, and so on until the last line has just one word. I wanted to give them a try and found that they are very addictive!

Here is the first, a dribble on hobbits in general:
Happiest with those they love best, sharing what they love Food and drink, a peaceful walk in the woods Fierce only in their loyalty to their friends Small in stature but not in heart They always know what to do Dispensing hugs when needed most Caring, considerate, thoughtful, loving: Something so wonderful Must be Hobbits

Then I wanted to write a bit more about my two favorite hobbits and so I wrote one regular dribble and then did an inverted dribble (which I'm not sure is allowed, but was very fun) :) Here is young Merry and even younger Pippin:
A tiny figure stole into the room, trembling a little. The floor was cold beneath his feet, and he Glanced fearfully into the dark and shadowy corners. Seeing nothing, he tiptoed to the bed. Standing on his toes he peered Closely into his cousin’s sleeping Face before leaning over And whispering in His ear. “Merry?”
“Pip?” Merry mumbled, Only half awake. “Was it another nightmare?” Pippin nodded, shivering in recollection. “It was very scary,” he admitted, Casting a wary look over his shoulder. But Merry asked no questions, instead sliding over And lifting the blanket so that one small lad Could climb in, which Pippin did, feeling safe at last.
