Ch. 23 - Yearning – A Drabble
‘Tis the middle of Laer and the sun is hot; I have taken to hiding in the pools near my father’s home. My mother, I am told, created these pools to help ease the effects of the summer heat upon her children. My body leans against the confining walls.
To have known her. Even now, I have only the memories that my father passes along to me, some sense of her fëa that still dwells within him.
I want more. I want to touch her. To speak her name. No, in truth, I want her to speak my name. ‘Legolas.’
