| So--this was the way of it, was it? Oh, my heavens! Poor Merry, and the poor North-Tooks! At least the twins and Taddy are all right. And I'm glad Frodo's gone--this would probably have brought back horrible memories of his parents' loss. Author Reply: O my, I hadn't thought of Frodo's possible reaction.
