| “Whatever have you adopted this time?” Aragorn asked. (This struck me funny. You have such a wonderful sense of timing!) What a great thing for Aragorn to say: “You said that the Thain looks after the Shire, ‘until the King comes back’.” “Pip’s so small, I think Scamp believes that we’ve brought another puppy home.” This is so true! Our grumpy old dog was always very careful around children under two, very protective and tolerant, though quick to warn children old enough to know better not to mess with him. ...planting clover just for Ollie, how sweet! Why, he could pop this wee one into one of his boots, and there would be room to spare. I love this, and the description of Pippin that follows. Scamp is so cute! I should say she remembers Aragorn! | |

| How nice of Sam to plant clover esp. for Aragorn's horse! That seems like something he would do, even as a young boy. Ha! Poor Frodo having to deal with a toddler and a puppy at night...hopefully he'll figure out a way to get a little more rest sooner or later. :-) | |

| great chapter, Estel got to Bilbo's just in time to have a party, or a camping trip. loved how Bilbo has removed everything that the child can get his hands on, and some things he is way to short to reach. | |

| I love seeing wee!Pippin described through Aragorn's eyes. His difficulty with the Took accent is great! “Frodo,” Aragorn asked softly, “are you certain that this child is speaking the Common Tongue?” You do have to wonder sometimes, lol. Ah, hobbit fluff. Could there be a better thing? Well, besides hobbit angst, hobbit h/c, etc. | |
