*Waaaaaah!!!* Now look what you've done: gone and made me tear up at work! This was beautiful, if full of sorrow. Lovely, lovely job. *sniffle* Author Reply: Bwahahaha! My evil work is done, I have made Pips tear up at work! Thank you for liking this. It was a bit devastating to write (I don't like character death stories) and it helps to know people like it. :)

*sniff* that Merry wanted to go alone was a different way of things but it seemed right somehow. That he would want to see the sea again before he left the earth was very real to Tolkien's way of things. Very touching tale, thank you! Author Reply: Thank you so much for reading and leaving such a nice comment. :)

Let's just say this. It made me cry and I don't do that often. Author Reply: I don't usually read or write character death fics but this one came to me very strongly and insisted upon being written. It haunted me afterwards -- I had to go write pointless tweenage Merry!fluff in order to recover, lol. I'm glad you felt the emotion of it. :)

How beautifully sad. I always suspected that the sea would have a special place in Merry and Pippin's hearts. I secretly wished that there was some way that they could have gone to be with Frodo like Sam did. I know that could not happen, so I guess a last wistful look at the sea would have to suffice for them. Thanks. Connie B. Author Reply: I always felt a bit sad as well, that Merry and Pippin get left behind at the end. I don't think they needed to go as much as Sam did, but I think they must have felt the pull of the sea at times. Thank you for reading, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
