I am really enjoying this story, especially Sam tackling Strider. Of course, I'm seeing a younger version of Sean Astin and Viggo Mortenson in my mind while I read this, but it's still pretty funny!
Author Reply: I have a very soft spot for Viggo Mortenson even before he became our Aragorn. Not only is he a magnificent actor (and what a hunk!!!) but he's a fellow artist. Plus he's so down to earth that he's simply, too hard to resist. Plus who can forget Sean Astin in Goonies, Rudy or Encino Man? He was fantastic and so funny in the last one, I love that movie. I had no problem picturing this happening and laughing the whole time I was writing/typing it down. Glad I tickled your funny bone as well. While I am a true sucker for H/C and angst, levity is something that should always be added to lighten the mood. You don't want your audience to all commit suicide, after all, do you?
