Envinyanta  by Noldo 1 Review(s)

What a lovely father and son tale of Aragorn and Eldarion. I can just see him, waiting there - and then never mentioning it.

The years following a tremendous victory are very difficult - the worst danger is gone, but it leaves an emptiness. Children grow up with the heroics, but know little about the price of victory. Poor Halbarad.

'it was very like Elessar. Perfect, and ideal, matchless and unattainable.' And that's a hero for you. Not the man who got wet in the rain, and made holes in his socks and snored. I hope he finds the man beneath the legend.
